Dr Evelyn Chia

Dr Chia assisted us in our journey to become parents for the first time about 6 months ago and I couldn’t have asked for a better support. Her experience allowed us to have a smooth and relaxed pregnancy. We delivered our baby via planned c section and I felt so knowledgeable and comfortable with the process. My scar is barely noticeable and my baby was born health with zero complications. I would without a doubt go back to Dr Chia with any future pregnancies her worth is more than any dollar value!

We were fortunate to have Dr Chia for the care and delivery of our first child. Throughout the entire journey Dr Chia was caring, supportive and professional. Dr Chia was extremely thorough and answered all questions and concerns. Dr Chia’s practice manager Tracey was extremely helpful, friendly and personable. All appointments ran to time but never felt rushed. On the day of delivery Dr Chia was calm and put all of our nerves at ease with her caring nature and sense of humour. Thank you Dr Chia and Tracey for your care!

I had the pleasure of having Doctor Chia deliver both of my children, and I couldn't be more pleased with the care I received. Not only was she punctual, always there when needed, but she also brought a warmth and humor to every visit that put me at ease. She always helped me make decisions with confidence & provided reassurance when needed. I had such a great experience with my first born that I decided to go through it all over again only under Doctor Chia’s care.

I thought I'd write Dr Chia a review from the perspective of a father that went through the process, as a lot of the reviews here are from the mothers.

Dr Chia was highly recommended to us by my wife's best friend. From the very first consult we knew that she was the OB for us. Her high level of experience shows throughout the entire process, and her bedside manner and bubbly character made my wife very confident and calm - knowing that we were in good hands.

On a more practical level, her office is very conveniently located in the heart of Chatswood, with basically infinite parking options around. She was very practical in the recommendations that she provided along the way in terms of things we should consider buying - and helped us avoid things that weren't necessary.

The waiting area in her office is very nice and comfy, and she was very punctual with the timing of our appointments. If we had a scheduled appointment at 9:30, it would start at 9:30 - we never had to wait around unnecessarily.

Her reputation at the hospital is legendary. During our stay we were often asked by the midwives "who is your OB?" when they introduced themselves to us, when we said we were with Dr Chia - the midwives would always respond like "oh excellent, she is the best" - or "oh perfect, she is incredible".

In terms of the actual delivery, my wife had an elective caesarean , everyone in the operating theatre was so incredibly professional - and you could tell that everybody there had done this a countless number of times. We were very surprised at how fast and efficient everything happened actually.

In terms of the recovery - based on reading we had done online about c section recovery we were preparing ourselves for a long and painful week post-op. Dr Chia must have done an incredible job with the operation because my wife was up on her feet and mobile on the same afternoon, and walking about the room and the hallways on the following day. In fact, a few days post-op she was overtaking a lot of people in the hallways as she was frustrated at how slowly some of the others in front of her were walking!

All in all, a very solid 5 stars - and I would give more stars if possible. We will be very strongly recommending Dr Chia to any of our friends who are on the lookout for an OB.

I was under the care of Dr Evelyn Chia for my first bub and I felt that I was in safe hands from the very start. She is an expert in her field, extremely knowledgeable with years of experience to draw on with a level of confidence that will put any parent at ease, but more than that, she is personally invested in mum’s and bub’s well being and takes personal delight in seeing the progress of the growing baby. I found Dr Chia through word of mouth and did not look elsewhere. I will be back again for future bubs!

We had the absolute privilege of having Dr Chia guide us through both of my pregnancies and deliveries. Evelyn's care and dedication to her patients is outstanding, and we always felt supported and looked after. All of our questions and concerns about my health and the baby were always met with a prompt, professional and compassionate response, and we appreciated Evelyn's kindness and understanding when we went through some challenging experiences as a family. We will be forever grateful to Evelyn for the safe delivery of both our children, and for my quick recovery!

Dr Chia is an outstanding doctor. She is kind, intelligent, responsive and intuitive. Evelyn’s approach is consistently warm and sprinkled with the right amount of humour. She was consistently professional throughout my pregnancy, as well as sensitive to my experience and health concerns. Evelyn was incredible on the day of my sons birth and helped to make it one of the best days of my life.

My husband and I could not recommend Dr Evelyn Chia more highly and would not hesitate in making the same choice again. Dr Chia was objective, diligent, and incredibly responsible. Dr Chia visited the morning after the birth and was so understanding of all our concerns. We never felt rushed and felt like we had made the best choice in our OB and with the care we received. Dr Chia, Tracey, and the team were absolutely amazing throughout our pregnancy and birth journey. My scheduled caesarean went well, and has been healing very nicely. We’ve shared lots of laughs during appointments with Dr Chia and her bubbly, friendly personality, but at the same time her calm demeanor made us feel confident in placing 100% trust in her to help deliver our baby. Hopefully we get the chance to come back! Thank you supporting us during such a wonderful experience.

Dr. Chia was my OB for both of my pregnancies. She is very efficient and knowledgeable, as well as punctual. On occasions when I arrived to my appointments early, she was often able to see me earlier which was great. I emailed her reception whenever I had questions or concerns, and I always received responses very quickly. I had two c-sections which went smoothly and I recovered well after both. Most importantly, I have two happy and healthy babies which I owe to Dr. Chia. Thank you for everything Dr. Chia and Tracey!

I am very happy to have Dr. Chia, as my OB for my second child. She is very thorough & caring. Not only she's punctual, she arrived within minutes to the hospital when I'm in emergency labor.

Dr Evelyn and her team are such a pleasure to deal with. We delivered both our boys with her and both times she was professional and so lovely to deal with.

My wife and I would highly recommend Dr Chia. Throughout our pregnancy Dr Chia was kind, caring and helped guide us through the easy and hard times of our pregnancy. Her attentive and warm nature allowed us to ask any questions and Dr Chia and Tracey were always available to help. We had such a positive experience with Dr Chia. She is bubbly and funny, and we also felt like we were in extremely capable hands when there were some complications in the e pregnancy. We felt comfortable asking questions, and were able to ask follow up questions between appointments through her lovely receptionist Tracey. Dr Chia is amazing! I had the best experience with Evelyn and her team during my pregnancy. Being my first pregnancy I was quite anxious, but as soon as I stepped in to her office I knew I was in the best of hands. She was welcoming and friendly, and her energy made me extremely comfortable that I could be open with her about anything. My appointments with her always gave me the information and reassurance as to how baby was doing. It was a bonus that there were always good laughs to be had which made the appointments something to look forward to. In the theatre, her whole team was so friendly and cheery, making the whole cesarean experience one I will always remember with wonderful memories. It has been 2 months since I had my cesarean, and my scar is nearly non existent!

If I have another baby there is no question as to who I want taking care of me. I highly recommend her services!

Dr Chia is a professional, thoughtful and highly skilled doctor. From the moment we met her until long after birth, we know we were in good hands. She is detail minded and provided clear & constructive advice.

Seeing her every week feels like meeting a friend. She is extremely bubbly, friendly and approachable which made us look forward to chatting with her every visit.

Most importantly, she is a person with a great heart who treats patients with empathy and compassion. She addressed all my concerns with a high standard of care: boosting my confidence in my first pregnancy journey. She came checking on me and my bub to make sure everything is well; physically and mentally.

Last but not least, I can’t praised enough how organised Tracey is. The team was phenomenal and I highly recommend her to anyone to look after you and your growing family. If I have another baby in future, I’ll go for Dr Chia in a heartbeat ❤

Dr Chia exceeded my expectations and my husband's in many ways, with her cheerful attitude, diligent work ethic and fun sense of humour. We were so grateful to have found her practice through glowing reviews. For the whole pregnancy journey (first one) and postpartum recovery Dr Chia helped put both my mind at ease and my husband's. Even though there were a few complications and I needed to go down the c-section route, there is no one else I would have wanted to guide us during that time, and to perform the surgery. I am less than two months postpartum currently and have been healing amazingly (scar included). So incredibly grateful to Dr Chia for all of her work and support. We will be back in the future. Overall, cannot recommend Dr Chia highly enough, if you are questioning who to go with for your pregnancy journey ahead look no further, you will be in the best care all the way along.
