Forrest Early Education & Care Centre

We love the Centre! Throughout the years we have been blessed with having a holistic care for our children, from their early months in life through to pre-school age. We have experienced first hand the daily updates, the good nutrition, the exceptional care the Educators provide and the holistic approach to wellbeing, multi-cultural interactions and empathy that are on offer every day. We are incredible humbled by being part of the Global Village feeling and top care our kids get, each and every day. We openly recommend the Centre to friends and family.

Forrest Early Learning Centre is a lovely, caring place. Maureen runs the centre very well and the carers in the rooms are wonderful. I looked at many centres throughout Canberra and I’m very glad we chose Forrest. Both my children (3) and (14mths) have settled in very well and enjoy going to the centre.

Amazing centre run by equally amazing staff. Maureen and Rosie are a delight. Our daughter loves attending every day. Could not recommend highly enough.

Lovely, relaxed centre providing a safe environment for kids to learn, play and explore without wrapping them in cotton wool. Staff are engaged and attentive. We have had 3 kids attend over the few years.

Have had both my children in care at Forrest and been very happy. Great team of educators, good communication with parents, and happy kids! Proof is in the pudding.

All three of our children have attended the center and have loved it. The educators are amazing and I have faith in leaving my children in their care.

My son has been going to Forrest daycare nearly 3 years now since he was a baby. I can see the growth and learning every day! My son used to be shy but now he says hi to all the parents that he sees!(lol) All of the teachers in the toddlers rooms love having him. Best of all, the children seem very happy there. When I see my son interact with the other kids, they are attentive and share toys with him and give him hugs whenever he comes and goes. I never regret my decision 3 years ago for putting him there though it was a hard one. It’s very nice to know that he is in a caring environment while he isn’t home. I highly recommend this centre.

The Team at Forrest provide an amazing inclusive environment for children to thrive in. Both our children have attended the centre, and I would highly recommend the services provided across the collection of centres run by South Side Community Services.

Work-bullying often happen to causal staff in this centre, especially baby rooms. One staff in the baby room tried to ask causal staff to change nappy twice, but the casual staff had already done it in another room. Work bullying should not happen to anyone regardless of permanent staff or casual. Lots of good educators left, which is a shame.
