Halleys SKI Hire & Shop

Just walked into Halleys with no booking 6 adults. They sorted us out with a smile and in double quick time. So much easier and friendlier than last year when we rented elsewhere. They also will store our skis at night so we don't have to lug them all the way back to our accommodation. Would rage at 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Such a relaxing rental.. Tony

Shane and the team at Halleys took the best care of us when heading up to Falls in June '22. A group of 5 with two young kids, all of us fairly novice, were no trouble for Shane. From start to finish, Shane made everything easy. He set us at ease and took care of all of our hire needs using his expert knowledge, patience and friendly sense of humour. The team at Halley's were attentive, flexible, offered competitive prices and had an easy online booking system. Great work and thanks again to Shane and the team!

My wife and I had the privilege today of hiring ski equipment from Halley’s Ski Hire. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and gave us, as beginner skiers, some tips on putting on/taking off our ski’s and some other helpful tips even though they were quite busy. This personalised experience immediately made us feel welcome. Thankyou again team.

Awesome shop, lovely people. Just exactly what you want in a ski/snowboard hire place - reasonable prices, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, and efficient service. Over the course of a week in Falls we had cause to go in three times, once to change a binding, once when my boot gave out mid run and I had to hire one for the day, and once for a wax. Every time they were great, absolutely recommend.

Cannot be any more happier with the service we received from the team at Halley’s Ski Hire. The staff were all so incredibly friendly and nothing was ever too hard and so very accommodating with our young family. I would not hesitate in recommending Halley’s to anyone heading to Falls Creek. The quality of the equipment and clothing was of the best quality.

Honestly, the prices are very reasonable for what your getting as well as being the by far the cheapest in Falls Creek. I can’t believe the customer service. I came in looking for ski boots and after getting fully set with all my gear and heading out the door a previous injury to my foot began hurting. After explaining how a previous foot injury was causing pain in my foot, the amazing staff was straight away there to help and consistently reassured me that it was not trouble. After looking through and trying on all the shoes in the store I was not able to find a good fit due to my injury, one of the staff told me that they were happy to custom adjust an existing shoe by drilling through to make space to fit. The fit was perfect and only took the gentlemen 5-10mins max. I was so happy when visiting and was made to feel so at home. I would 100% recommend this shop for any snow equipment when visiting Falls Creek. 1000% service will definitely come back again.

Honestly the nicest people ever! We had never been to Falls Creek before and were pretty astounded by the prices everywhere else, but Halleys Ski hire had the best prices around and not only that, they were so friendly! I had an issue with one of my skis and one of the staff there (I believe his name was Shane) video called me and helped me fix the issue in literally 2mins! Seriously the nicest staff, the helped fit us all with boots for skis and snowboards and even gave us some handy tips. My brother also had issues with his foot size, and the staff customised his boot to make it more comfortable. I cannot recommend these guys enough, if you are visiting Falls Creek, you have to hire from here!! Thanks guys!

I chose to hire our gear at Halleys as it's a small family business and was close to our accommodation, although Homebase was closer. The guys were really helpful in answering questions before I put my order through and were super friendly and entertaining when we picked up our gear. They were also great when we had to swap a few items because we needed to upsize or when they go saturated from the rain. I highly recommend.

Hired skis from here for our school ski trip. Staff were great. Boots could have been more comfortable, but you can't expect more from hire gear that lots of people use. Great experience here, also attached lodge with very comfy beds, a TV room, and great food. Highly recommend.

This has been the best customer Service I’ve ever experienced in any industry. BIG thanks to Lara, she was wonderfully helpful from the first minute we stepped a foot into the shop. Snowing activities could be intimidating for first timers and the last thing you’d need is to deal with grumpy staff. This wasn’t the case at Halleys, everyone there was just amazing.
We booked everything online for two days. My friend hurt her knee on the first day while skiing and Lara kindly reimbursed her for one day of use. Similarly, she allowed me and another friend to switch from snowboarding to skiing on the second day. I’m so happy they had this flexibility. This showed us they’re not there just for money, they also wanted us to have great time and make our visit count.
Seriously, I can’t thank you guys enough. Definitely will be my place to go when I come back

Shane and the team at Halley's fitted us out with ski gear in July '22. They were super friendly and helpful. The equipment was great quality and new. They even collected our gear on the last day from our accommodation.

This is a very friendly place that won't break your budget.
Collin takes very good care of the customers. He found a good match for my feet for skiing boots. They also have a great selection of snow boards and other equipment. We could leave our belongings in the shop for a day as we stayed off the mountain at night.
I would highly recommend this place.

A fantastic group of people offering helpful, friendly and excellent service. Made our time at Falls Creek (with a 7 year old and 9 year old) so much easier. Would recommend Halley’s to anyone and everyone!

Personal and caring family business. Once, Shane went all over the village to find a replacement heel piece for my old ski boots and when he couldn't find one, let me borrow one of theirs without charge. Another time, when one of our ski poles broke, they let us borrow one from them without charge. And just recently, I got my skis waxed and tuned for free. And whenever we hired and wasn't certain how many days we needed, they'd just work out the days when we returned. Lee and Jodie are friendly as always. Will always come back here!

Service was extremely professional and helpful. Extra convenience provided with leaving skis overnight. Great gear. Great team.

Amazing and friendly staff who helped fix broken bindings and sort me out with rental boots when my own ones failed at a very reasonable cost. Got me back up the mountain when things were looking a bit dire 😂
