The White Star Hotel Albany

Had a really nice experience here on Easter Sunday. Lunch was delicious, everyone's meal was excellent , quick and friendly service. Dog friendly in the outdoor area, even providing water bowl for your dog. I had the chicken burger, it was delicious, my hubby had meatball pasta, excellent.

Went for lunch today and sat in the lovely Outdoor area out the back, which I didn't know existed! Shade covers so you can choose sun or shade. Food was first rate - i had vego Puy Lentils and Mark had Steak Sammo and chips - both awesome 👍

Went to a choir night tonight! Staff were hammered with the crowd but smiled and showed that they love their jobs! Amazing staff and atmosphere! Well done team!

Delicious steak chips and salad. Cooked to perfection and a choice to eat it in the restaurant, out in the rear garden, or on the street side, watching the sun slide lazily into the distant hills.

Came here for my friends birthday after coming to Albany for work.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the patients of the staff with my friends rowdy table.
I had the steak with broccolini and mash with garlic sauce on the side, all of which was cooked perfectly.
I also got a creme brûlée for desert and it was delicious!
Also matched one of the waitresses on tinder after the meal so that was fun and made the trip that little bit more enjoyable.

The food was excellent exactly what I ordered, the service was great the staff were very helpful. Highly recommend dinning at the White Star I will certainly be returning the next time I'm in Albany. Thankyou...

Delicious.. I had the lychee cocktail which went straight to my head much to my husband's amusement.. We had Kilpatrick oysters, squid and scollops, all absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly.

Fabulous dinner from the new autumn menu, about which the wait staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The fried chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. Everything sounded great. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Went here for drinks after my brother in-laws funeral. The service from staff was great so friendly which was welcoming after our sad and emotional day. Clean establishment, highly recommend.

My husband , myself, and friends dined out last weekend. The server was attentive and even knew our drinks order. The meal was severed in a timely manner. We all enjoyed our meal.

My wife and I had a lovely meal here on our visit to Albany. The dining area was clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive, informative and friendly. It was relatively busy and we were pleasantly surprised when our dishes arrived after what seemed a very short wait. My wife had the fish of the day (nannygai) and I had pork ribs. Both meals were cook perfectly and we would definitely dine here again.

The referb looks amazing!

We had the Gnocchi and the fish schnitzel,
As a 99% vegetarian I will eat fish once a year, and because it's New Year's I thought why not.
I wasn't impressed, so I'll stick with being Vego :) it was super thin and mostly tasted like crumbs. Well it was basically crumbed to death.
Chips were slightly undercooked too.

The outside area out back had glass on the floor, which I assume is from the previous night.
And the tables out front had ciggie butts and chicken bones at the table we were at.

This place does beer really well, but it still has to accommodate the bogans,
Which it does well too.

It's almost like this venue needs to be split into 2 venues. Decent and Feral.
Staff are amazing, venue is amazing.
It's let down by the clientele at the end of the day.

Haven't been here for years (not very welcoming), came in for a drink and wow! Staff friendly, great beer and reconstructed decorations. Great to have the friendly vibe back.

Tonight my partner and i dined for dinner, was delicious food. We had the special dessert, butter scotch pudding! whoever works in that kitchen must be magic, it was amazing! thanks bella and the team for the great service!

We had a yummy dinner, and are enjoying the new menu, great selection of vegan and vegetarian meals.
Staff are friendly and attentive.
We ordered a burger that came with a spicy sauce, which was to hot for our daughter, but the lovely waitress looked after us and the kitchen cookd a new one very quickly.
Great experience.

Food was served promptly (within 15 minutes), steak was cooked to perfection and was scrumptiously filling at a great price. Staff checked to ensure the meal was satisfactory, then left me to enjoy. Staff were well presented, full of smiles and very polite and professional. The food was tantalising and I am absolutely devastated that I had no room for dessert.

Within 10 minutes of me finishing my meal, staff arrived at my table and offered to take my plate and give me a dessert menu.

I am extremely impressed with the service and the food and recommend the White Star to anyone wanting a great meal at an affordable price with amazing customer service. Great place to hold a dinner function, or just to have a romantic dinner for two. The atmosphere was intoxicating.

Friendly staff, nice venue and good pub food. The steak was lovely and tender and tasty. Didn't have to wait too long. All in all a good experience.

I dined here with the family tonight, I was very impressed with the menu, it had something for everyone even vegetarian. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. Jackson made our dining experience very enjoyable.

Tisharn (ptobably mispelled) and Stevie were so lovely! Came here for my friends birthday and they were so friendly and helpful, five stars and beyond honestly 💛
