Garrison Restaurant & Bar

Our 2nd time at the Garrison and it didn’t disappoint. Great views even though it was a cloudy day. We ordered small plates to share…beef empanada's, artichoke ravioli with an amazing cheese flavoured mousse and bread with pickled veggies. We also had a glass of 2012 Silverstream Reserve Chardonnay which paired really well with our meal. Silverstream is a winery in Denmark which we love their Chardonnay but unfortunately they are temporarily closed. But getting back to our meal, no complaints at all. Service was great, so no complaints about anything. Definitely recommend if you are in Albany.

Beautiful place with amazing view, great atmosphere, lovely crew and delicious food. An average rating of 4.0 must be a misunderstanding, because this restaurant is a great place 5/5! The food was beyond all my expectations, I still think about it. If you are in Albany this restaurant is an absolute must visit, I highly recommend it!!

Service was amazing, Stacey was running front of house by herself and did it with a smile the whole time and still managed to make each customer feel welcome and answer any questions they had.

I have to give them 5 stars! Our meal was just perfect and the table staff very good. The wine selection was 1st class. The water views from the restaurant during daylight hours is beautiful. Well done to the staff for making our night so enjoyable 🥂

Had a great time at Garrison for dinner. We were seated in a private area since we are a big group. Great food and drinks; and fabulous service. A pretty gem in Albany. The only downside in the private area is the smoke from the wood fire, the room can get really smokey and hard to breath; the side door needs to be opened at all times for ventilation.

Had dinner at Garrison last night and thoroughly enjoyed our night. The food was delicious with amazing flavours! The Miso glazed eggplant was to die for! The steak was cooked to perfection with incredibly tasty sauces! 😋 Love the restaurant with good atmosphere, great cocktails and lovely staff.

One of the best meals we have had in a while. Beautiful views, staff were amazing and friendly! We ordered everything that was recommended & none of it disappointed - will definitely come again when we’re next in Albany :)

Great service from staff, best food hands down in Albany, great beer and wine selection.
People that review this place complaining about prices need to understand you are paying for the entire experience, not just the food, all the staff are being paid a higher wage to provide a fantastic service and to keep them here, and rightfully so.

Definitely check this place out and book in advance.

We had a group of 6 come for breakfast, overlooking an amazing view of the ocean. We were all served promptly and everyone was very happy with their meals.

I ordered the Oaxaca Morning - Mexican spiced eggs and chicken with crispy potatoes. If you get a chance, make sure you order this dish as it was delicious! The crispy potatoes were perfectly cooked and complemented the eggs so well. I wish the dish had been just a little bit bigger but that’s probably because it tasted so good! Overall a really good breakfast and highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food (both dinner and breakfast), excellent service and a beautiful setting with stunning views. Can't fault it. Go there - you won't be disappointed. (The lime infused mushroom breakfast was the most delicious breakfast we have ever had from a restaurant.)

Delicious menu, as they managed to cook something for my wife which is allergic.
Amazingly complete drink menu (numerous drink types and cocktails, missing only cachaça and or caipirinha from Brazil).
And, a few yummy desert options.
We love being there for a NYE dinner.
The location of the restaurant is just breathtaking... the decoration is also stunning...

Just WOW! Spectacular view, light live music, devine cocktails and food that's full of flavour! We ordered shared plates so we could sample as much as we could and I highly recommend the honey and feta Artichokes. I also recommend booking at sunset. Service was fast, friendly and professional for a busy Saturday night. Can't wait to return and sample more dishes.

Stopped in for lunch today with a friend. Restaurant was about half full but we were politely seen to by the chap with the rainbow colour face mask. It was quite obvious that throughout the service that this server was the hardest and fastest worker, whilst keeping it professional. He seemed to be working the role of many staff.

I had the seafood crepe and it was fantastic. Would visit again, very impressed.

The food is delicious, such awesome flavours. It's kinda pricey for the meal/drink size, but well worth it for a tasty tasty treat, and I have to say I didn't leave hungry. They have a great range of interesting cocktails.

The service is really good, I totally enjoyed the interactions with the staff.

Amazing sunset view to enjoy great food with nice company. Unfortunately, it can be quite noisy within the restaurant when it’s packed. The food portion is great, and I’ve not regretted my options thus far. I’ve tried artichokes appetiser, bevette steak and frites, truffle tagliatelle, crispy pork belly. Duck fat rosemary potato is great side dish. There’s a good wine selection too.

Wow were to begin, this place was amazing, so cosy and warm. Overlooks the beautiful ocean but the best part by far is the food, I had the duck and I just have to say this was the best duck I have ever eaten, salty and sweet and it fell off the bone. We also could not decide on a dessert so we tried three different ones and each one was delicious. Elle was our waiter and she was amazing so good infact we left a huge tip. I highly recommend this place for everyone the food and service is 10 stars absolutely superb.

Lovely lunch today! New Menu today, we had the Hapkua with pearl couscous, Beef Empanada’s and Brussels sprouts sides dish. Couldn’t fault it, well done✔will be back to try more of the new Menu.
