Toorongo Falls is a must-visit for nature lovers and hikers. The well-maintained trail is suitable for all fitness levels, leading through beautiful fern gullies and eucalyptus trees. With ample parking and clear signage, it’s easy to navigate. Toorongo Falls is perfect for a day trip or a picnic. Highly recommended!

One of the best spot in South East Victoria to see couple of great Waterfalls Toorongo and Amphitheatre Falls. You cannot miss these.
You can view the downstream just after short walk from car park, but for to see Waterfalls there's a walk uphill. The tracks are formed.
Once you reach Amphitheatre Falls, you can comeback the same way you went up or you can take the downhill path parallel to the water flow which is a bit steep downhill track.

We went there on Sumday and it was a cloudy day with no sun at all. It was a short walk from car park. To Ampitheatre falls, its a 2.2 km loop via Tooranga Falls Walk. It's dog friendly. And also have few benches to sit along the walk. And it is a nice waterfall. And also you have 4 picnic benches near the car park and toilet facilities too. But bring your own toilet papers as most of the times there is no toilet papers found in the facility. And there is a camping site too. Lovely place to spend your weekend

Beautiful place. Good safe walking tracks to the waterfalls. Flat clean camp sites, toilets, fires permitted in designated fire pits & access to the river for a swim.

Great picturesque walk to two waterfalls in a beautiful shaded and forested gully. The signage for the walls could be better. But it’s a gorgeous spot. Can bring your dog too (on leash only). Good parking and onsite toilet facilities too.

Excellent spot for a day trip. Just outside Noojee which was about 1.5hours from Melbourne. The carpark very close to the falls, a short walk up the the first viewing platform was well worth while. The track has stome steps and a very Indiana Jones feel to it.

Great camping area with toilets. The walking tracks were amazing, abs that's without the waterfalls, they were next level.

Went here early September 2023 in the morning , no one was there . Was amazing

Short steep walk to the actual falls but worth it, went when it was wet so a bit muddy but cool and had that fresh forest smell

Its a great place to trek on weekends. Only one hour of trekking can lead you to the top of the waterfalls. The path that leads to the waterfall is mesmerizing. Beautiful rain forest with ferns being most dominant. Toilets are available at the start of the trail. Free parking and a camping sites are also available.

Toorongo Falls is a beautiful nature spot! It's like a hidden gem in the forest. The waterfalls are stunning. The sound of water rushing is so peaceful. The walking path is well-marked, but can be a bit steep. Remember comfy shoes. The lush green surroundings are refreshing, and the air is pure. Don't forget your camera; the views are picture-perfect! A great place for a short hike, but watch out for slippery rocks. It's a bit of a drive to get here, but totally worth it. Best for nature lovers and those seeking a tranquil escape. Don't miss this waterfall wonder!

Lush, thriving riverine rainforest with sharply defined hill contours, deep, eucalypt-filled valleys, abundant ferns and mosses and tumbling and filling is the Toorongo River branching off to the Little Toorongo River.

Long-time favourite area for technical landscape photographers honing skills, offering a very similar but more compact scale of rainforest Errinundra National Park in far East Gippsland.

⚠ Leeches (all seasons); tiger and brown snakes (summer)
⚠ Very slippery rocks; wear bushwalking boots. Inexperienced visitors have twisted or broken ankles clambering around Toorongo Falls and the more distant Amphitheatre Falls.
⚠ Stinging Nettle (𝑈𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑜𝑖𝑐𝑎) in isolated pockets of forest

Stunning waterfalls! The walk isn't so easy for your average unfit person but it's definitely doable because you stop along the way to take lots of photos.

Watch out for snakes. We saw a smallish brown snake on our way out.

Australians are so lucky to live in this country. It's beautiful, clean and amazing. The tropical rainforest in Tooronga Falls is a complete change from the usual dry areas in other parts of the country. Theres a flushable toilet near the waterfall. Please take care of it when you visit and take your rubbish home with you. Love it so much.

This walk offers two fantastic options: a straightforward there-and-back route (30 minutes) or a longer loop that includes Amphitheatre Falls (60 minutes). The well-constructed path, though mostly uphill, provides stairs and rails where needed. There are several rest points along the way to catch your breath. The journey itself is breathtaking, surrounded by tall timbers and enchanting rainforest. The sight of moss and fern-covered boulders adds to the magical atmosphere, almost as if woodland creatures might emerge to greet you. Toronga Falls is a true spectacle, especially after rain, and the view platform fully immerses you in the refreshing sounds, crisp air, and aromatic bushland. Both professional and family photographers will find this spot a treasure trove for capturing memorable moments.

Such an amazing place. It just takes 20 minutes from you enter the forest and you are in a jungle walking around in great nature. Great walk up to the falls.

Great views and beautiful waterfall.
Hike around the trail took us about an hour which provides different views of the waterfall.
Hike is a little bit steep not too bad. Take a minute to catch your breath and let the views take your breath away.

Review: 11/3/23.

One of the nicer waterfalls and trails I've been on. Campsite on the base had at least a couple of hundred campers. Medium waterfall carpark with a toilet on site. There are also a few picnic tables elevated off the carpark.

The walk to the falls is splendid. You immediately see the stream and can hear the water throughout the entire walk. It's a gentle incline with areas of flat and areas of steps. I saw toddlers and the elderly on the walk, so seems fit for all ages.

The waterfall itself is amazing mashaAllah. You first see it from a distance, and then a further short walk to the viewing platform. We walked back the way we came instead of continuing another 600m to the Ampitheatre Falls.

It was a quiet day. We took track to the left as we were faced with that decision. I only saw the falls that side, because my teenager son was being dramatic at the thought of gentle exercise, called walking🤣. But he did it, I gave him no other choice🤣. Beautiful place, the running stream the whole walk beside you as you walk through all the green, beautiful ferny foresty surroundings, it really is a great place to take a stroll. Camping grounds just down track a little, on Weekends this camp area fills up fast in nice weather, so get in early on a wknd or make a plan b to camp somewhere else nearby. Great place for a day trip, enjoy a picnic, stroll round. I'll be going back for sure.
