Shangri-La Sydney

The room is nice!! I got the amazing view of the Sydney Harbour. I think all rooms have view of the Harbour! Their breakfast also tasted very good. The hotel is near the Harbour bridge and you can walk to Circular quay from the hotel as well

We didn’t stay so didn’t see the rooms, however, we did the day spa (massage and facial) along with the high tea and it was exceptional. The massage was wonderful and the food delicious. Our package did come with full access to the facilities and we weren’t aware (despite arriving 30 minutes early) so we missed this opportunity. Would have loved to have utilised this if we’d known - especially as it’s not cheap! Fabulous day regardless!

We arrived into Sydney from Auckland at around 10AM. We were tired as we started our journey from Auckland at 4AM. Once we arrived the hotel, we were greeted by Lo, whom I believed was the manager of the hotel (if not she should definitely be promoted).

She was warm and very friendly, we had a fantastic conversation about Malaysia and Fiji. Little did we know, she sorted us out with an early check in, and also a room upgrade! Lo, if you’re reading this, you’re amazing and deserve all the praises! By far, the best experience we’ve had in any shangri-la we’ve stayed at!

This place is good. Experience was amazing due to its location so close to The Rocks markets, great restaurants and Cafes. We parked our car and walked everywhere. The room was luxurious if a little dated.

Great location in the heart of The Rocks. Room was very nice and clean. The staff were friendly and quick to assist. The breakfast buffet was excellent and came with a wonderful unobstructed view of the Steal Bridge. Our room had a decent view of the Opera House, which was a pleasant surprise to arrive to. The place was also a great value (booked through Amex for free breakfast). We'd happily stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Shangrila-La Sydney! Although the hotel needs some refurbishing (common areas not the room), the heartfelt customer service and stunning harbour bridge and opera house views more than made up for this. Special mention to John (Filipino) and Ashley of the Horizon Club who gave us first rate service and hospitality. Thank you John and Ashley! Tip for those taking the train from the airport, the hotel is more accessible from Wynyard instead of Circular Quay station.

The most wonderful experience with my family of 5 here! The staff were all wonderful and truly went above and beyond! We will never stay anywhere else! Thank you Lo for making our experience the best hotel experience we have ever had!

We stayed in an Horizon Sydney Harbour room with access to the Horizon Club lounge. The room and view of the Harbour bridge and opera house was amazing. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and all the food in the club lounge was ample, delicious and a great choice. An issue with noise in the room next door resulted in an upgrade to a suite which had 180 degree views. Loved the whole experience.

I'm very satisfied with our stay at Shangri-la, it allowed us to get a good night's sleep amidst our busy schedule. We really liked the comfortable bed in the room.

Shangri-La was the nicest hotel I stayed at during my trip. I had the room with the view of the bridge and Opera house - and it was every bit as breathtaking as I expected. I enjoyed the stay so much that I will look for Shangri-La properties in my future travel. The location was good, but the walk back to the hotel from any direction was tiring due to the steep elevation. Not a negative, but just something to note.

A great hotel for those wanting to explore Sydney. The service here is good, and the location is close to some prominent landmarks. The rooms here are quite spacious and are clean. The restrooms are pretty big as well and definitely taken care of. I recommend the rooftop bar for the sights of the city at night or high tea to relax with a view.

Love the Shangri-La !!! Stayed on level 35 (Horizon Lounge access included) facing the Bridge & Opera House… i could never get tired of seeing this view. Service was top notch - so attentive , friendly and professional. Love the way this hotel smells as soon as you enter and through their floors . Horizon Lounge access is worth it ! Pre dinner included , free drinks offered at a certain time & afternoon tea was also included .. that alone hubby & i were happy & full! Would definitely recommend this hotel and their restaurant at Altitude . 5 course meal for a group of 4. Each meal was yummy !

It was a tick off my bucket list. Incredible hotel with an incredible view. The room was huge, beautiful and the bathroom 😘

I could sit at the window sill all day looking out the incredible view. For the price I paid, the satisfaction received was 10-fold.

It is also conveniently located with easy access to the Harbor Bridge, Circular Quay and loads of F&B.

We have booked for the weekend away from Victoria. Had a very beautiful appointed room, amazing view. Room is very large and clean according to standard of 5 stars rate hotel.
Staffs are friendly and professional. Bed is super comfortable. We look forward to another again.

I booked this for my parents who had a lovely stay. They got upgraded to a room with opera house views which was very special for them. The room was clean, well maintained and the beds very comfortable. All staff was very nice, happy and helpful. The location was perfect as they could walk to the rocks, opera house and wynyard. Thank you for giving them a lovely first 2 days in Australia

Our recent stay was a magnificent experience. All staff were friendly, professional and bent over backwards to ensure we felt like we were the most important people in the hotel. The spa was the highlight of our stay and we would highly recommend a couples massage to relax and unwind together. Loved every moment

Having been at the sangria la hotel for a function. When leaving met with a fierce rain, we hung around for a few minutes but it wasn't letting up. Asking one of the lovely Porters for directions to circular quay. As we were leaving came after us with an umbrella(as I had forgotten mine)
Such an amazing and caring experience from everyone but the porter placed the cherry on top.

Could not fault our stay, very polite accommodating staff, lovely big room with a view, horizon floor amazing. Top floor bar & restaurant amazing views.

Shanghai La Sydney offers a comfortable stay with its cozy beds and spacious rooms. The fresh and clean linen adds to the pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, although the reception might not be knowledgeable about nearby coffee shops. It would be great if the hotel could provide early morning coffee for the convenience of guests. Overall, it is a great place to stay in Sydney.
