Highlander Whisky Bar

Came in before going to the Opera House for a show. Hubby wanted to try their selection of whiskey , great selection. I was able to get my dirty martini. It is such a relaxed atmosphere and the decor is so Sir Stamford adding to the perfect atmosphere. Service was great too. They have food too which looked great but we just came for the whiskey.

My lazy Sunday...the great moment for “me time” to relax & enjoy life...and what better than that? Well, here’s my review people...friendly staffs Viplav & Sandhya 🥰 and the bar looks great with all these boutique vintage decore with a great bar settings right in the middle of it all and awesome paintings around and a vintage cask in the main entrance, location inside the Sir Stamford Hotel as well as a convenient Spa - Miss Serendipity...(which I do a review seperately) close in all transports - Ferries ⛴ train 🚂 buses 🚌 tourists spots, walking distance to Sydney’s 2 main iconic - Opera House & Harbour Bridge and most of the 5-6 star ⭐ hotels are all around the area in Circular Quay - Tge Marriott, The Reinnasance, Shangri-La, Four Seasons, Intercon, Holiday Inn...lots to mention a relaxing ride in the Ferries that will bring you to other suburbs close by the harbour & how they live...or just enjoy the scenic view around the harbour...😊😘 and not to mention a Friday markets in The Rocks with handmade crafts, souvenirs, snack stalls & sit-in family, kids & pet friendly...🥰

This is a nice bar, the bartender was very helpful in showing me some new whiskies.

Wonderful bar! Excellent choice of whiskey. The staff are excellent, extremely quick, polite and friendly. Very good food. I highly recommend this place. It feels like a gentlemen's club from London.

Myself and two girlfriends went there for some pre dinner drinks and nibbles and had an absolutely fabulous time. The staff were so lovely and made some amazing recommendations. In fact we had left to go to dinner at cafe Sydney and they called us within 15 mins to tell us we had left a pair of glasses at our table. I couldn’t fault them and we had such a fun time so thanks so much!!

A very pleasant surprise!

The bar is very elegant and relaxing, perfect to enjoy a meal or a drink, alone or in good company.

Prices are average. For instance I enjoyed the lunch special consisting in a classic burger (very good), chips and a beer: 18$

Highly recommend!

I had a lunch today at Sir Stamford bar. I loved the atmosphere, so quiet and intellectually engaging. The sofa were amazing to eat and relax for about an hour. I had the mushroom and truffle arancini. The food was nice, and the staff extremely kind and polite :)
This is the type of experience that I would like all my close friends to try at least once in their lives.
I don't live in Sydney, but if I was I would certainly like to have a meal at this place at least once every fortnight. I will certainly be back before leaving the city.
This is the kind of place where I could spend several hours reading or writing, enjoying comfortable furniture and lovely, soft lounge music.

I don't drink alcohol and I follow a vegetarian diet, but both my brother and dad enjoyed the lunch special (Stella Artois plus burger and chips at 18$).

Refined old world vibe, great whiskey and wine drinks list and light meal menu. Recommend.

Best pasta I've had

Visited here for the Whisky High Tea. Got a great selection of Whiskeys and tea, and a huge platter. Lots of whisky infused food makes it worth it

Outstanding service, lovely atmosphere and a great range of beverages on offer. Highly recommend.
