Probably one of the best spots to sit on the Westernport side and take in the waves, rolling in . The trees you see here are protected under the Victorian Heritage Act 1995. The first trees were planted by early landholders prior to 1920.
Pine trees were a classic seaside planting in the late 19th and early 20th centuries on shorelines around Port Phillip Bay and Western Port.
Similar plantings protecting other beaches such as Merricks, Somers and Balnarring have gradually been removed over the years.

This increases the significance of the Shoreham Pines as one of the few fine examples still remaining on a Victorian foreshore reserve.

These Monterey Pines, Pinus radiata, give the Shoreham foreshore its distinctive character, and from the water form a striking contrast between sea and sky. The beach was fondly named The Pines by surfers in the 1950s. These trees still serve as a landmark to surfers and fishermen.

Great hospitality and the facilities were spotless.
Can also see the effort being put into maintaining the natural bush setting. Great work guys.

A superbly positioned campsite with so many outdoor activities to do from walking and swimming to surfing and kayaking, a jog along the beach or just chillin’ out!
And the cleanest toilet blocks you’ll ever see!
Thank you Deidre and Ian! Again!

Awesome camp site and run very well by owner Deirdre . Amenities spotless and a great place for kids. Easy access to the beach. Bbq facilities available around the site. No bikes allowed but kids have too much fun to miss them. Beautiful spot with a 45 min walk to Point Leo along the beach for fish and chips.

My dad and I stayed here for the 3rd time over the September school holidays for a week. Such a wonderful place to camp with awesome views and facilities even being non power. Shoreham has very helpful staff members who go the extra mile.

My partner and I were looking for a sweet campsite to enjoy some quiet time. I didn't want to camp on the main foreshore around Rye or Dromana. This campsite pleasantly surprised me. Nestled away from the hustle the peninsula is sometimes known for, we found ourselves camped right on the point with stunning views. It was majestical! The host, Peter, was most helpful and friendly. I will be back for sure.

Love this place... No powered sites, no concrete slabs. Just dirt, bush, sand and an abundance of native birds and mammals.

Great camping spot, much quieter than the ones on the North side of Mornington Peninsula. Just some steps down to the beach
