Reef Palms

Great place to stay. We were a bit worried after reading the reviews mentioning dust and mould as our son is very allergic to both. We emailed the hotel and they reassured us that the room would be very clean. We were allocated a very nice spacious ground floor room by the reception area and it was very clean with no sign of dust or mould. The receptionist was very nice and the drive to the airport was around 7 minutes.

Great little spot super close to the airport, grocery store, restaurants, and the esplanade. The room have some small issues, a light not working but are spacious and have a fridge, microwave and small balcony. The pool is very charming.

Returned with the family this time around. Had a great time, enjoyed the pool and BBQ area with the kids.
Everything was close by and only minutes from the beach.
Staff helped with organising transfers and activities for the whole family.
Will be coming back soon for a another vacay

We arrived to an extremely friendly and polite staff. Went up for work and it was located very close to the airport and the city which worked well for us. The rooms are clean and welcoming and all our staffed enjoy the stay at the property. We would definitely book this property on our next trip up to Cairns. Highly recommended for price and location.

Amazing place to stay with friendly staff who where very accommodating. Super clean and well equipped. Great location and the pool was very handy after a hot day sight seeing! Great service with booking trips. We were travelling with small children and this hotel was very child friendly. We would highly recommend a stay here.

I booked as an overnight transit stop, so I wanted somewhere close to the airport and not too expensive. I got what I wanted, plus a bit more. 3.5 star accommodation, 5 star hospitality. The motel is what it is, with no added pretenses. It has cooking facilities, so if you're staying longer, you can prepare your own meals. I didn't use the motel restaurant.

The staff were great. The room lovely.

the only negative is there is only 1 key which connects to the power in the room. When 1 person need to go out and takes the key the whole roo. Has no power until they return.

The staff make this place what it is, they go above and beyond to make your stay great. They are helpful on arrival, making you feel welcome, it’s like talking to an old friend when you arrive. If you do happen to have an issue they are onto it node and quick, doing that’s best to fix the issue so you can be comfortable. They are onsite and willing to help at all hours of the night. The room I was in was spacious and the bed was comfortable with the option to have a firm or soft pillow. I would highly recommend this place as it’s very affordable and meets the expectations of its rating. I’d definitely stay here again

Me and my boyfriend have stayed there 3 times and haven't been disappointed once. The rooms are amazing! I still remember the first impression when I went around the apartment and kept dragging my boyfriend around to show him how awesome everything was from a supercool balcony all the way to a sailing white bathtub. The owners are more than great and totally lovable. Love it, love it, love it!

A friendly and clean place to stay. The owners Sharon & David are wonderful hosts. They can guide you on the best deals for local yours as well as dining on any level. They have their own shuttle service and its quietly located just on the edge of busy Cairns. Public transport is on the corner for the economy people and an pleasant walk to Cairns Central shopping centre. Coles Express is around the corner for convenience shopping and basics. Had a great week here !!!

Delightfully relaxed atmosphere here. The better end of The Esplanade IMHO so very quiet.
Welcoming Reception staff and housekeeping team. Very obliging with requests for towels etc.
Well appointed room with kitchenette.
Tobruk swimming pool close by and a great chip shop too.
My second stay here and would definitely recommend a visit. Streets ahead of some of the Sheridan caged chook experiences.

Very comfortable stay. The staff were always helpful. I especially appreciated the kitchenette, and the grocery within 10 minutes walking distance. Took advantage of the shuttles to the espanade every day. I would stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights (24/10/17) as was so impressed. Good location/parking and tariff. Clean rooms with great kitchenettes. Decent Wi-Fi speed and wonderful pool. Best of all was the friendly owners that were always obliging to help in any way. All stars full and well earned.

We had a great stay at the Palm reef in two different occasions. The owners are just lovely people, very kind and helpful.
The units are big and comfortable, and it was very clean!

Lovely atmosphere. Cleanly rooms. Gentleman at front counter made us feel most welcome throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our small family vacay :) Have already recommended to family and friends.

Excellent affordable accommodation. Always clean and tidy, with a free transfer to the airport will save you $20 taxi. Take a bus from Sheridan St to the city centre and return. Nice pool for swimming and coolong off, especially late afternoon out of the sun.

We stayed at Reef Palms Motel in Cairns for a short overnight retreat away from our every day stresses.

Our stay was managed very well by a kind gentlemen by the name of Mic. He knew we were travelling and secured us the room we wanted with a spar. Walking into the spacious units, they were very clean and looked after. The bed was awesome I slept awesomely.

However, an issue with the aircon happened about 3am and we woke up sweating in our unit. Kindly Mic came to look at it and had no luck getting it going. For our inconveinience we were refunded 50% of our room costs. This was like a teaspoon full of sugar straight into the mouth.

You see, it's never about the issue that arose, importantly it's how its handled. We would like to say thankyou to management for the service you provided us and for that there is no doubt we will be back in the near future.

Update from last time we were here, rooms are nice and spacious. The food on the menu is great and its not just breakfast now but it a proper all day menue. Me and my husband really enjoyied our stay and we were taken care of by the staff there
