Such fantastic fish & chips + salad for only 11$ ~ Really crunchy and fresh fish. They now have EFTPOS machine too. However $5 minimum which is reasonable. Atleast they have EFTPOS, which makes life so much easier.

Well priced, crumbed on order, nice and crispy.

Ordered the $11 dollar burger deal - burger of your choice (I chose fish), chips and a can of soft drink. The crumbed fish inside the burger was big and very fresh. The burger was delicious it self. The fries were abit on the crunchy side which is my preference but I know not many people like their fries like that. thmeal was decent, tasty and very filling. I would definitely eat there again and try a battered fish meal Staff are friendly and meals came out on time. This place has a lot of other lunch deals that are reasonably priced that I would like to try in the near future. Five stars.

Been wanting to buy a Chiko ever since I heard of.
Found a chicko on display, looked delish.
Had only card, no cash. The middle aged Asian lady told me that I had to spend a minimum of 5 dola to use card. I asked her if she could charge 50c on top of the the chicko, which btw was $2.50. She said: “ No, 5 dola minimum “, I thought she didn’t understand so I repeated. She again pointed at the sign and said: “5 dola minimum”, then she added that I could buy 2 chicko, or some chicken wings, or some spring roll, but I didn’t want to. All I wanted was 1 Chicko. I then said : “thanks never mind”
Wish I had the time to explain basic business. Hope she reads it here. “ don’t lose a $ 2,50 sale over a 0,50 surcharge. Get in with times, this is becoming a cashless society. Not only you lost a sale but a potential customer. A different outcome to this would have been: “We charge a 50c surcharge for purchases under 5$, is that okay? And I would have said: “Sure, thanks”

Best battered Dory on the planet. Batter is always light and crispy. Chips are a very enjoyable under done which as a NZer, I really appreciate

Food is always delicious and staff are always so friendly. This is the best fish and chips place in Forest Lake for sure.

The barra here is amazing i have been coming to lakes seafood for many years the staff know me very well and always say hi when they see me the best fish and chips joint around

They have a variety of food to order and a hot box if you just want a quick bite on the go.

Good place for take away fish n' chips, fish is very nice and so are the condiments.
