This is such a lovely spot located along the scenic drive to Mt Glorious. There are lots of open spaces to picnic, as well as tables, benches, sheltered areas, and bathrooms. There are BBQs available to use too. There are 3 walking trails that are well suited for all levels of fitness. You’ll find all sorts of wonderful birds, animals, insects and helpful information posts dotted around the track. If you’re looking to escape from the city, the Maiala park is a wonderful spot to spend the day in nature.

Lovely little walks in the park, nice shady and cool walk. Big trees, wildlife and a few other enjoying the sites. Great escape to nature from the city.

It is a quick place indeed (that’s the meaning if translate from Aboriginal). Slightly cooler by couple degrees as it’s high in National Park mountings. The walking track is easy enough and can be done even with kids (4.3km return thought, so allow at least couple hours for the hiking)

Easy walking in beautiful sub-tropical rainforest. Lots of birdlife early morning and evening including the magnificent Regent Bower-bird if you are lucky.

Gorgeous area. Subtropical rainforest. Beautiful, well maintained walking tracks. Plenty of toilets, including disabled toilets. Wheelchair access available, but no hoists. Large undercover sitting areas insitu. A number of BBQs insitu. Observed pademelons, logrunners, catbirds, rainbow lorikeets etc. Large old buttressed trees and large vines present. Plenty of parking onsite. Beautiful grassed areas, good for a picnic. Leave your stereo at home and listen to the music of mother nature. Engage in mindfulness

What a beautiful place! The walks are challenging, but moderately so. The facilities are clean and the picnic tables plentiful. We drove from Ipswich through the Brisbane Valley highway. The North Parkway riad was very winding and steep, but a good road. The rainforest is always refreshing to visit.

Fantastic rainforest loop track to a waterfall lookout. Great one for the entomologist in your life. Keep an eye out for colourful bugs and butterflies and some beautiful old spider holes in the trail walls.

There's a bit of up and down, with stairs and broadwalks throughout. But it's divided into looping tracks so if you're starting to feel the burn and come up on a fork just take that loop and head back. Or push on and get to the falls! Cause they're great!

There's a parking lot, with a huge picnic area and facilities. Great little place overall actually. Really well made/maintained walking track.

Maiala National Park at Mount Glorious is a nice place to go for a bush walk. Beautiful forest. A bit damp at the moment because of all the rain we have had. Make sure you are wearing good non slip walking shoes. You will see little animals that look like wallabies. And might see the odd snake around if you are lucky. There are three tracks you can walk depending on your ability to complete them. We took the 1 hour round trip which was perfect. Not many strenuous hills but nice flat paths to walk on. The 3rd track is shut down at the moment due to fallen trees which has covered the path.

A beautiful place for everyone, easy walking tracks for beginners and children. Well maintained facilities and toilets. Plenty of picnic tables. Strangely enough you have phone reception in the bottom of the valley.

This area was once a sawmill and some of the old machinery is still visible from the rainforest circuit.
Take sometime and enjoy the three walks that begin from the picnic ground. You will find plenty of parking, bbqs, undercover tables and toilets. What you will not find is toilet paper or bins so don't forget to bring your own.

Easy walking tracks but can be a bit boggy in parts. Great for a day trip with lots to see along the way. Amenities and grassed picnic too. Great for nature lovers.

Plenty of parking and beautiful picnic areas. One of my favourite spots around Brisbane.
Photos are from over the road along Joyners Ridge Road.

Beautiful walk beautiful place to visit any day. A really lovely walk, make sure you wear appropriate shoes as it gets quite wet and slippery on the walking tracks in the rainforest. Walks are great and it has a lovely area at the start for a picnic

Plenty of parking space. Nice picnic area right by the car park. About 10 picnic tables and half a dozen of barbecues are available. Plenty of trees around and thus shaded area. Toilets are also available.

A rainforest circuit and track is right next to the picnic area. The track is mainly flat, with some sections are elevated. I would say small to medium fitness level is required, suitable for family and kids. You will hear plenty of birds tweeting and run into some wallabies if you’re lucky enough. I haven’t heard much car noise for the most part. You will be rewarded with a scenery of a waterfall if you venture far enough.

Very relaxing day out.

An easy walk. So close to the hustle and bustle of the city. If you have a few hours do kill, come up and walk the track. Bring your camera and a picnic basket - and some mozzie repellent. A great day will be had. What are you waiting for?

Gorgeous place to go for a walk in the rainforest. The rainforest track is 2kms of windy but easy walking. A few hills and about 10 steps to climb. Lots of birds to hear, animals to watch and huge old trees.
There are also longer tracks if you would like to do more.

I loved the walks here. We did the whole thing and took about an hour 15. It wasn’t too busy in the morning and a great place to have a picnic.

Awesome spot to park the car and get out for a hike. A few different walks start from here with different distances and a couple return tracks. One walk ends at Greens waterfall but if there hasn't been rain it will likely be dry.
A great way to beat the heat in the rainforest and only an hour and a bit drive from Brisbane.
