Dakabin Waste Management Facility

Never thought I’d rate a dump but this place is full of amazing wildlife and the staff are absolutely first rate. Always happy and helpful. Really care about the place and it shows

Staff were great, tired their best to keep the long line moving. Maybe you need to be able to register online with vehicle details etc then just a quick check etc at the weighbridge.

The other review is right, there is rubbish everywhere! But it’s well organised and the staff are consistently polite and it’s easy to navigate. Each time I’ve forgot my licence or on this occasion the address was a little faded from the sticker. The lady accepted a digital bill and proof of address as a substitute. It’s also free so struggle to understand why people have complained. Yes on the last hour on the weekend there are so many cars queued there is sometimes traffic controllers and I have waited 30mins. However I’ve also planned ahead and visited on an afternoon during the week there was little to no wait time.

I had accidentally locked the keys in my car while dropping some boxes off. The guys in the store there were so kind offered me a recliner seat in the shade while i waited for roadside assist and then brought me out a cold ice block. Great to see such kind people are still out there. Thanks very much guys i really appreciate it. Great staff.☺

Harrassment from the lady on the gate, produced licences. Then I had to prove that I had a licence that was valid. Then my son had to sign a statutory declaration , what for I don't know but a bloody stat Dec to say he was the owner of the rubbish. Really got bad though when she strip searched me. I left her with a smile on her face!

I loved how easy it was to drive in explain what i had and get direction on where to go , simple efficient and fast, stopped on the treasure shop on the way out , wonderful place if you are looking for pieces to upsell into beautiful new pieces , i scored a sad looking yukka tree at the treasure shop last year for $2 brought it home , give it some love and now he stands strong and green in my garden ! , just shows you can find just about anything at this place .

The new facility is great. There are lots of bays to dispose the rubbish and separate bigger area for the treasure market. The staffs are quite helpful and welcoming too.

I love how I can go on the website and see their live camera to find out if there is a line up or not..I don't how people that complains make it through life..this life is hard enough and we need to enjoy and cut the negatives and if you can't then move to Africa where there is hardly food and water and see how easy we have it here..

....many thanks to the site staff for helping me with the ambulance after I sliced and broke a bone in my finger on 21.02.19. Council however, as usual, are too top heavy when it comes to handling simple telephone enquiries ... recorded voice rubbish and two further transfers before I can get a 'real' person ringing me back from the site .... what is that?....It was just a courtesy call to arrange pick up of my car. ...how difficult can this be!!! My advice is to throw away the scripts , DROP the recorded gibberish and concentrate on facilitating real communication between real people...one call; one person answers; one tranfer max., job done.

Free services for residents of the Moreton Bay council area. Staff are very helpful and even taught me how to reverse a trailer 😃 the roads are painted with the directional lines that makes it extremely easy to follow directions for the broader community.

Just wanted to write a review to say how pleasant the staff at the in and out weigh bridges are. It is always nice to go somewhere where the staff are happy and friendly.

A fabulous tip shop with excellent prices. Friendly staff, neat and organised and good turn-over. We love it!

Being a local like this council service. Staff a friendly and professional. Never had an issue. I guess like anything it’s busy at times and quite at the other, just finding the right time to go is key.

Staff have always been helpful here was getting busy today being the day before Christmas but everyone moved along and the staff organising bays did a great job
