A working orchard where I worked with a great bunch of guys pruning their apple tree's for the upcoming picking season. So if your a backpacker thinking of holidaying in our lovely state of Tasmania plus do some paid work this is the place to come. I believe you get paid by the bin so if your a team & you can pick them you can make a good day's pay & get fitter doing it. No gazetted breaks when picking so you dictate when you finish it take your lunch break ect.

From a workers perspective: the salary came reliably and I worked there for 5 weeks - I am thankful for this opportunity. The "main farmer" is friendly, the supervisor mostly too. You are not welcome to argue them (just work hard and be quiet). They expect you to give your all but they don't ever give you more than the minimum. Even the toilets for example were really unpleasant and they advertised a bonus for fast cherry pickers but no one ever got it. Not my mentality, a place I am more than happy to leave behind. But if you need a job and money you will find lots of work there.

TERRIBLE PLACE TO WORK!
They don't respect you and treat you like a number. If you're not good enough up to their standards you're out. If you're good you can stay but don't expect to receive any bonus or special treat. Don't work there, there's plenty of other places where you'll be treated like a human being, no worries!
