My first ever surgery in 40+ years of life. Would like to extend my thanks and eternal gratitude to Dr Steve Elston, the Anaesthesiology team, the support staff and the nursing staff (especially Sarah? Who shared her lunch/dinner meal pictures with me, sorry I'm terrible with names but as a former cook it helped to redirect my anxiety) for treating me so well. I suffer from complex PTSD, severe depression and anxiety and they were nothing but kind, compassionate and considerate. I'm terrified of being in a hospital after some poor experiences in the past and did my best to hide it. Absolutely amazing care for someone who is triggered by health professionals. Thank you so much, an absolutely massive step in restoring my faith in the medical profession as a whole. Especially considering the state of the system at the moment and the constant uphill battle you all must be fighting. Amazing work. Thank you so SO much.

So very thankful to the wonderful paramedics, doctors and nurses for the care and treatment my husband received just over a week ago, when he suffered heart failure, fluid on lungs and to top it all off covid. Thanks to all concerned he's now progressing a bit more every day. Thank you so much.

Exceptional care and service!
I had picked up a thumb infection on an overseas holiday and we finally arrived at the Mersey around midnight.
As well as re-dressing the wound they also organised meds, a dressing kit, and a specialist appointment for me the very next day.
A big thank you to all the dedicated staff!!!
You guys are angels! 😇

Attended the ED in September 2022 and every member of staff was compassionate kind and helpful. I cannot thank them enough for looking after me in a very vulnerable time and I will always be grateful to the team 🥰 also big thank you to Sharni from midwifery for going above and beyond in her care 💛

Outstanding. I was really distressed with a rapid swelling on my face and my GP wouldn't be open for a few hours, so in my panick I took myself to Latrobe. I was expecting to be turned away, but they booked me in immediately. I cannot thank them enough. From the administration, triage, and all off the nurses and doctors it was friendly, reassuring and professional.

Had to go to A&E in the wee hours today.
The nurse, Christie, who looked after me was so kind and compassionate as was Dr Harry. Impressive care.

The nurses in the ED are absolutely amazing. Given the demands of their job, their friendliness and concern for a young fellow who we brought in was a credit to them, their hospital and to Tassie.

Arrived from Victoria that morning and our 5yo suddenly took a turn for the worst. With no GPs open we had no choice but to take her to the ED. Hesitantly as the waits and hospitals in our area in Melbourne are less than desirable. I was greeted and seen instantly by wonderful, caring staff / doctors. They were kind and considerate of our shy 5yo, gave her a goody bag to keep her entertained and even an icypole. The doctor we saw was great, gave us a script for antibiotics and even gave us panadol to take home as there was no where open for us to buy anything. The best hospital experience we have ever had. Very grateful to everyone at Mersey hospital.

We were holidaying in Tas and my wife had a diabetic emergency. The ED staff were brilliant and the ward staff were lovely. Great food too. Mersey puts our brand new multi billion $ hospital in Adelaide to shame. Thanks for your wonderful care.

With the new on line appointment system and the fact I couldn't get an appointment with my own doctor in a short time because I was in severe back pain I decided to give Latrobe emergency a go, thank god I did, can not speak more highly of them, very friendly, professional staff and waiting time was very little difference to my doctors.👍
