Childers Bakery Salad and Sandwich Bar

Best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Everything g is very fresh and they pile lots on. Easy to order from the menu board so you get exactly what you want. Friendly service and a few tables if you want to stop there to eat - it’s a sandwich bar not a cafe or restaurant - but we now take away and sit at a park or the look out on the southern end of town which has a nice view and a great breeze.
We sometimes drive half an hour into town just to get these sandwiches for lunch; that’s how good they are.

We always stop in Childers when travelling through, this time we tried out the Childers bakery & sandwich bar. Really nice to see a bakery still offering fresh sandwiches made to order, my chicken, cheese & salad on wholemeal was absolutely delicious. The coffee and cream doughnut was also excellent. Thank you for also for offering space to park our caravan around the side! Keep up the good work, will be stopping again.

We stopped in to grab some lunch on our way to Bundaberg and without exaggeration, this was BY FAR the yummiest salad sandwich I've had in more than 20 years! WOW!! All the ingredients were incredibly fresh and delicious, and very reasonably priced - great value! Plus the service from the young team was outstanding, this is a very clean and well operated business. Wish I'd taken some photos to share. On every future trip through Childers, we'll be returning for more tasty food. Well done and keep up the high standards - thank you!!

My one-stop shop for a feed when traveling from Brisbane to Yeppoon and on my return trip. The toasted sandwiches are delicious with a generous amount of fillings. And the staff are always friendly and efficient.

Best sandwich ever it was made with all fresh ingredients. Yummiest God value for money & the cakes look good. Unfortunately, I never got a photo.will definitely return next time I'm passing.

One of the best bakery's around the pastry was nice and flacky, with a nice hot mean filling!

I purchased a kidney pie this morning (you can't find them anywhere and they are my faveeeeee) and it was bloody delicious 🤤 So full of meat and the gravy was so thick! 👌

My partner and I stopped for a sandwich and roll on the way back from Brisbane on our way home. Having spent two weeks on holiday in Bali we wanted something simply. Oh way we were in heaven! The bread and roll was fresh and filling so tasty 😋

We discovered this little gem almost 2years ago. It’s about our 5th visit and they have the best herb/cheese bread rolls for fresh salad rolls.

They also make a great thickshake and their sausage rolls are good too.

Worth a stop on your next trip through for great fresh food. Keep up the great service.

Best sandwich! Glorious crusty bread and delicious filling options. They were a bit busy and the lovely staff explained there was a wait but it was worth the time (in any case it wasn't a very long wait). Comfortable undercover seating outside, even an area under a shady tree. Convenient bathroom too.
Full marks to the enterprising team! Will definitely call in again next time I'm in Childers. 🥪 ❤

I was pretty happy with this little place.
I tried the other Bakery in town, but I'd become a return customer for this one. My Donut was fresh, pies were good, customer service on point. What more could I want.

We are so very thankful to this bakery for the delicious half slab black forest cake that was baked, decorated and delivered to us for a recent birthday party which we hosted. Our guests are still talking about THE CAKE!! Congratulations to the band of staff involved in this cake preparation and delivery. It truly was amazing!!! Thank you!
