Childers Nature Camp

Loved this place. We only stayed for one night but Matt was so helpful and accommodating, delivering fire wood straight to our campsite. Loved the outdoorsy shower experience. Lovely place

To get some drink, stop by there. In spite of busy time, they treat me so well. And veery nice price. I recommend here so much, however could not recommend Marybough to Childers by bike with gravel road.

It's all been said before on previous reviews. We cruise around the country staying at various places. Originally we found this place be accident. But now..... anytime we're in the area - we stay. Location is excellent. Never super busy. Very relaxing atmosphere. Hosts seem very cool people. Do yourself a favour. Drive through this area......STAY HERE.

Highly recommend stopping here and supporting this camp!
Massive area so you won't have neighbours.
The place is immaculate, the showers are great!
The bin system is really good!
Limited to no 4G internet.
Flat spots.
Felt safe.
Would most definitely stay again.

We spent two nights here in our caravan, and so enjoyed the peaceful setting and privacy. Matt and Lorene were very welcoming and we are amazed at all they have done, and still intend to do to build their dream.
Sleeping without street lights shining in was wonderful, and we thought the innovative camp showers a great idea. We will definitely be back again.

9/6/23 Husband and I left today after 3 nights. Great owners! Lovely spot and heaps of room. Amazing to have a hot shower in the bush. We will definitely be back!

Excellent bush camping in a relaxed atmosphere. Matt is a very friendly and helpful host.
Hire a firedrum for $5 and unlimited wood. Toilets, water taps and showers scattered throughout the camp, and a nice camp kitchen overlooking the dam.
Highly recommended.

We needed a place to stay overnight with 2 dogs on a long trip. We found an awesome bush camp in the Childers Nature Camp. It was so quiet, host Matt helped us find a level site for our tent. An absolutely fantastic bush camp. We will be back to do some of those bush walks and fishing.

My son and I spent a couple of days here..We were welcomed by Matt and family.. would recommend to anyone looking for a amazing camping experience..open fires allowed(wood supplied $10 extra).. toilets..hot/cold showers..dams with lights..and Wildlife around 24/7..👍

Great little overnight stay. Motorbike friendly. Great scenery and a nice nature walk if you feel so inclined. Camp kitchen is well setup.

Love this place!! Simple, no frills bush camping in the peace and tranquility. Hot showers. Lovely walks. Beautiful unpolluted night skies. Would definitely stay here again.

Camping here was an absolute treat! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the welcoming nature of the owners. For only an extra $5 we could have unlimited wood for fires for as many nights, though we only stayed one, and the DIY shower topped it all off. Love your work guys, Keep it up ! :))

What a spot! Matt and his lovely family have created a care-free atmosphere at the gorgeous Childers nature camp! Hot or cold showers, and well kept clean facilities, with a lovely spacious insulated camp kitchen. Perfect for tents and toasting marshmallows, or glamping in style.

Camp fires, camp kitchen, fishing. Wild life, walks ... nice and green

Great place to stay, Matt and his wife are very friendly and helpful. Fire pits for hire and as much wood as you want to burn. Will definitely be going back. Camp-site is quiet and a relaxing place to be.

absolutely loved staying here. the owners are super friendly and accommodating as we arrived late. this is a beautiful property with hot showers and drinking water.
there's been a lot of hard work and thought put in to it, with care for the land and dedication to being as environmentally conscious as possible. they have composting bins and triage all the waste. breath of fresh air meeting people who care about the land and regeneration.

We loved our stay at Childers nature park, the amenities were super clean, the owners were very friendly and accomdating. You have a supply of endless fire wood for your camp fire already cut and ready to go.
The nature walk is like a beautiful fairy garden WE LOVED IT as did the kids.
Just a super awesome laid back atmosphere.

Absolutely beautiful place to take kids and relax.
The owners made sure we had everything to make our time very enjoyable with such short notice of us arriving.
Kids are already planning our next trip they said it was the best time and didn't want to leave.
Will definitely be going back.

After three months on the road this is the sort of place we had hoped to see more of. Matt is very knowledgeable on all things caravan and for us their place was just the right mix of amenities, space and nature. If I could give it six stars, I would.

Really nice nature camping. Matt is really friendly! Quiet, lots of space showers, toilets, drinking water, shade, dam, small store with lots of things. And... kangaroos around you while you're sleeping
