you're never too old to come here! was in Melbourne on holiday and decided to learn how to play tcg at 17. despite not having a booking, the staff were happy to teach me and I even got to buy an individual card of my fav pokemon and draw afterwards :) I was afraid it would be too loud for my sensory issues w audhd but it was fine! definitely autism and adhd approved :3 the cafe and playing rooms are sectioned off from each other and there weren't many people :3

BVG is my 8yo boy's happy place; the staff is kind, accommodating and patient with all children that come. Sometimes I grab coffee from their cafe, and use their free wifi while my son plays a card game. This small business does amazing things connecting the local community.

Such a different little store, mainly for pokemon traders. They are always stocked with product and they have very helpful and friendly staff. Pricing isn't too bad for a small business. My husband went in to buy something and the owner taught him how to play the game.

For those who are avid Pokemon TCG players, this is definitely a good place to check out! There's even coffee and even if you just wanna chill and chat Pokemon, definitely check this place out! Check out their collections too!

Incredible place. Not just a store, but the hub of an open and inviting community. Family focus and lots of programs to engage children from 6 and above.

They've altered the formats for Pokémon to introduce new experiences all in the name of accessibility.

Perfect after school extra-curricular programs or a place for parents to engage with their children with a mutual interest.

Stopped in here with my son's, and a fellow working there, was kind enough to show them how to play Pokemon TCG.

We had Brokenvase Games come out to our office for a corporate teambuilding activity and they were able to offer a range of options. The team were friendly, engaging and professional. It was great to meet a wonderful small business making a positive impact in the community.

Really happy with my order. As a dad with a child into Pokemon cards, being able to speak to trainers and players, learn what card/s work for my son, and be able to buy the individual cards. It makes this a much more enjoyable and affordable experience. Friendly, approachable staff. Great atmosphere. Recommended. Great Coffee too!!!

A great place to visit and check out if you're into Pokemon or curious on what it's all about. Everyone is welcome and staff are great. We came in for our girls to learn and the trainer was fantastic. I have also taken it up for a bit of fun and find dropping in for a game a fun and relaxing hobby. Our kids now join in on Sunday tournaments sometimes, it has been wonderful to see them jump in and try plus grow in confidence. In terms of purchasing, prices are good and they look after locals, encouraging people to buy cards to play for real rather than just online. A nice side bonus is the owners passion for coffee. Overall, check it out and give it some time so you and/or your kids can spend some time with a trainer. Have fun!

We are truly blessed to have this friendly place where the kids can hang out to enjoy a screen-free activity that they love. The staff is always ready to help get newcomers into the game for free and prices for the events/cards are reasonable. It also doesn't hurt that the Merv makes amazing coffee too! Brokenvase Games is one of the four hidden wonders of 4074. Tucked away amongst the industrial companies of Sumner Park, Brokenvase Games is a thriving community and business built on connecting people. Having been there a number of times, I've noticed three key pillars of strength for the business:

1. Personal connections. Anyone who comes into the store is welcomed as they are to learn and bond over a past time both the young and old can enjoy. All the staff treat every customer with a level of friendliness and respect that is rare nowadays. I've seen everyone who steps through the door welcomed to spend personal time (often 1 on 1) with their professional Pokemon trainers to learn how to play the card game.

2. Quality. From having fresh, custom roast coffee beans and the highest quality milk to the diligent and careful packing of all the Pokemon cards, every step of the way Brokenvase Games goes above and beyond.

3. Value. Despite being a game shop, which tend to be costly, Brokenvase delivers prices both instore and online that customers will keep coming back for. There are even free energy cards that can be taken by members of the public that walk in.

Overall I give Brokenvase Games a solid 10/10.

Merv and his team have created a friendly and welcoming place for kids and teens who love Pokemon to come and play together in a supportive environment. From the first time we came to BVG, my son has felt welcomed. I highly recommend the activities they offer and I hope more people will come along and support this family business.

Tom then gave the kids a 101 history lesson on Imposter Professor Oak and spent a lot of time with them.

Huge range of Pokémon memorabilia

Pokemon lovers dream. It was busy but staff go above and beyond to help out. Our kids had a free play through and left saying it was the best day ever. There's a real sense of community there.

One of the best Pokemon specialty stores in the Brisbane area. Big range of Pokemon cards and some really unique Pokemon merchandise. Fantastic for new comers to the Pokemon card game with rental decks available to learn the rules. Absolutely lovely staff as well

A great little hub for novice and experienced Pokémon card collector fanatics. I love it because not only does it promote a great hobby for kids, but also engaging for adults who also love Pokémon! Can’t wait to see this little biz grow.

I came to Brokenvase to learn how to play Pokemon. I used to collect the cards back when I was in primary school because they looked cool but never actually bothered to learn the game. Mervin and the rest of the staff at Brokenvase like Johnny and Frank were so helpful in helping me navigate the world of Pokemon TCG. Brokenvase is beginner friendly and they even have decks you can rent and try out before committing and spending heaps of money! There's also a cafe which is an added bonus. I always look forward to coming here and learning more, and I've even managed to rope in a few of my friends to come too! Definitely check it out :)

I have made several purchases online from Brokenvase, each time I am staggered at the speed at which the package arrives!

My son was well excited to open a pre order that arrived on release day morning before stock had even hit the shelves at other stores!
