GPO Bar & Cafe

Great tasting food and very friendly service! We had the steak burger, open sourdough and creamy mushroom, everything was fresh and presented beautifully. But the meal is not complete unless you try the brownie, don't leave without trying!!! Love the decor, especially being in a historic building. Will definitely come back!

Checking out another place for breakfast and GPO was on the list.
It opens early on the weekend - a bonus if you're an early riser.

It has a great atmosphere the staff are friendly and welcoming.
The menu has a good selection for breakfast.
I've been told the coffee here is excellent so much so two were ordered.

A good variety of delicious breakfasts and lunches to choose from. Service was second to none, very happy, professional, and efficient. Casual Sundays begin here.

The standout for me was the excellent service. Beautiful building and surrounds. Couldn't ask for a better place to have an enjoyable breakfast.

I loved the ambience. Street side cafes with huge space is my ideal cafe to have some food. The cafe is amazing. Staff are very friendly and easy to get along with. I went for just a coffee but ended up with some brownies and also my favourite wagyu burger. The staff recommended coconut frappe was such a refresher and I absolutely loved it. The colour co ordinated plates and tables shows how much does this cafe believes in attention to detail. I don’t go to city much. But, yeah whenever i will, I would love to visit this cafe.

Food and location were great. They have cute bowls and mugs for coffees. They came over and gave my 1.5 year old some pens and a colouring book while we were there, very wonderful!

My friend and I were first time visiting the GPO cafe this morning for a late breakfast. The service was exemplary; the staff were efficient and obviously we'll trained: the food was delicious

We will, most very definitely, be back again to enjoy the service and cuisine in such a pleasant and well presented site - the atmosphere is truly charming.

Always a lovely place to catch up over breakfast. They have a good variety to choose from and are open from 7am.

I recommend a visit.

We had the two breakfast benny items around 9-10 am on a Sunday, with a cappuccino and a long black. The coffee was okay - it can still be improved a bit IMO, but superior to many places I tried around the region - and the food was also tasty and good value for money, both were well presented.

The staff was very courteous, friendly and nice. They know hospitality.

The ambience was curated and clean, no major road noise nor traffic exhaust that i could smell (even sitting outside), with soft music if I remember correctly.

Friendly service, delicious coffee and smashed avo and located centrally. They are pet friendly too.

A great find in the middle of town, the GPO lives up to all the positive reviews. While offerings are close to Brisbane prices, the quality is top notch and the service is great and friendly. Eggs Benedict were full of flavour and serving size was huge!
The smooth Campos coffee was well served by the barista - all round A+

So glad to find this place. Service friendly and efficient. Coffee good enough to please a Melbourne critic. Breakfast food yummy. Might turn this place into our regular breakfast hang out.
