Stay Grounded Cafe & Diner

This cafe is hands down beautiful, the food was incredible, the service was superb and the vibe of the place feels like an oasis in a desert. The owner was a charmer and the coffee was incredible.

Well worth the drive from Newcastle to eat here, we will definitely make the trip again.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve eaten and breakfast is my favourite meal to eat out! Really delicious food, great coffee and good service. The bread / toast was delicious and fresh. Would go back and recommend to others.

Tasty food and friendly service. Ramp access for prams and wheelchairs too. Toilets for the building were clean. I had the eggs Benny and a smoothie

A little disappointed that our meals came out separately, I got my meal 5 minutes before my wife got hers. That aside, the food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. The bread used was probably the best and freshest bread I've ever had and I was a baker for almost 15 years. 100% would definitely recommend this place.

Yes, loved it! We are hungry after X-country around the beach. Perfect brunch of breakfast wrap. Ordered one with spicy jalapeño sauce and another with smokey tomato sauce. We swap the half-cut with each other 😘 hot chips is crunchy and cooked with fresh oil (none of the old oil- bad after taste). Have I mentioned this place brew some good coffee and made an excellent almond with blueberries scones!!

Such a brilliant modern cafe with lovely staff, a broad array of meals and great ocean views.
FOOD: Great assortment of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options: salads, big brekky's, wraps, muesli, porridge etc.
PRICES: Reasonable, think $15-25 for most meals. They also have a kids ("under 12") menu.
STAFF: Cannot rate highly enough. I made a huge mistake, went up quickly ordered my brekky, it arrived and I realised I totally forgot to ask for it to be gf. Yikes. Needless to say, I accept this was my mistake but the staff were so beyond lovely about it and even brought out some gf toast for me! They didn't even charge be extra. Like who does that?! I'll definitely be coming back.
INTERIOR: Crisp, modern and directly opposite the beach. Great for having somewhere to go before/after with the kids, to play on the equipment/go for a swim.
ACCESSIBILITY: Ramp access makes it perfect for prams/walkers/wheelchairs alike and likewise on the bathroom front... they're located inside the biz building.
Lots of Street parking is available and it's minutes from the bus stop.
Some outside seating would also make it suitable to those with dogs/large prams.
OVERALL: Highly recommend. I'll definitely be back!

Had a really good Mother’s Day lunch here. Good food, real tasty! Had a Boss Burger, Pikelets and Shakes.

Newest addition to the Collaroy casual dining scene is sure to be a winner. Ryan and his team already have a strong coffee following and the new and improved location has been a perfect progression to expand into dinner and drinks. Our burgers The Temptress and The Holy Cluck were fabulous and not 'over-sauced' like so many are these days and the chippies were crisp to the very end.. yum! Views of the beach and friendly staff made for a lovely casual evening close to home. Looking forward to working our way thru the menu :)

Love this place! Best coffee in the area and always super friendly service. Serving sizes are generous and presentation is beautiful, even with take away food. I am not a huge fan of coconut but somehow their coconut feta is delicious, and their acai bowl is the best I’ve tried! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Stopped in for coffee and a B&E roll after a swim at the beach, couldn’t recommend this place enough!! If you’re in the area and after deviously creamy coffee and good food that just hits the spot you must make this sweet little cafe a stop.
The man who served me made a good day better with his hospitality. Felt like a small town cafe in the heart of the city

Everytime I come to stay grounded I'm always greeted with friendly service and great coffee! Legit can't fault anything on the food menu either, it's always so tasty and there's a bit of something for everyone. You can tell the team are passionate about what they do! Thank you so much, a gem on the beaches.

Absolutely lovely and amazing staff!
They organised food for our shoot and were accomodating to all the various dietary requirements including gluten free and FODMAP, on top of already having delicious food and coffee they were an absolute delight.
We will definitely be back.

Been a fan of Stay Grounded for a long time. I’ve only ever had a great experience. The food is awesome, staff are friendly and the owner Ryan is a top bloke.
The Coffee is unbelievably good! Best coffee I’ve had on the beaches.

Super friendly staff, cool vibe and great menu at a cheap price (compared to what we're used to paying in Melbourne). The coffee was great, but the chocolate shake was incredible! Pretty good serving sizes on the food as well. Down a bit of a side street, but you still get a bit of view if you sit outside. I'll make sure to drop in here on future visits to Collaroy!

This is, to date, some of the best coffee I’ve had the pleasure of waking up to - and I’ve lived all round the place. I know y’all are trying to keep us all grounded out here, and I appreciate that, no doubt, but every time I get that first hit of coffee from here - that perfect balance of “caramelity” and intensity (and HOT!) - I find myself drifting just a short distance above my body.

Amazing food and coffee. The milkshakes are also amazing. It takes a while for the order to arrive, so it might not be the best for a quick bite, but if you've got time, it's definitely worth a visit. Awesome location too, right by the beachfront.
