Thank you and your team for an awesome dinner this week to celebrate our friend's birthday! It was awesome to try a variety of food and even a range of Korean soft drinks. Would recommend!

This place is amazing! The best Korean BBQ I've had. We were passing through and came in an hour before they closed. The owner, Daniel spoke with us during the meal and showed us the tricks of eating the different foods. You can definitely see the attention to detail and the love that has gone into the food and service at this restaurant. We had the most amazing experience and recommend this place to everyone! The food is simply amazing!

if you haven’t visited The Haeundae you’re missing out!! i’ve eaten here multiple times and can’t fault it! i would recommend this awesome restaurant to everybody. the staff really value their customers and try their hardest to create a memorable experience. the service is incredible, Daniel is so friendly and accommodating, and everything is reasonably priced. but most of all, the food is amazing!! The most delicious Korean food I have ever eaten! Jun the chef is so talented and it’s very impressive to watch him create so many exquisite meals so quickly, especially when the restaurant is so busy. I have tried so many of his dishes and i’ve never been disappointed! he truly is a brilliant chef :) everything is presented beautifully and the service is so quick. would 100% eat here again, it is my go-to restaurant whenever i visit Newcastle. thank you Daniel and chef Jun for a wonderful experience and beautiful food 😍

We have been to The Haeundae twice now in a fortnight, and would have gone again if we had our days right. The Korean buffet restaurant that used to be here has been reborn under new ownership, and I can't praise it highly enough.
Daniel is a fantastic host, friendly and informative, and takes great pride in their food.
Everything we've tried has been delicious, well priced and a generous serving size. My favourite so far has been the bibimbap which appears on the lunch specials menu- great value!
We'll definitely be back soon!

Absolutely fantastic, felt like I was back in Seoul!!! The staff were so kind and happy and the food was very generous, they aren't kidding when they said it's all you can eat!! Was also happy to see the soju and korean beer on offer too :) Will definitely be coming back here regularly!

Fantastic food and really lovely service. Great chilled out atmosphere also. Would recommend Haeundae to everybody. Fried chicken is amazing and the beef is to die for. They also give you an assortment of small plates (some kimchi, pasta salad etc) so you won't leave hungry that's for sure.

This place has been upgraded since I last came here! The BBQs are built into the tables now, and coal lumps really enhance the flavours.
The buffet is enormous. There is so much choice of pre-cooked dishes, soups, and meats for the BBQ.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. They help out if you're not sure what to do or stand back if you're self sufficient. They swap the BBQ plate frequently, so it doesn't burn up.

One of the few restaurants where the food looks more amazing than the menu. We went there on a weekday, there was no BBQ buffet as suggested by this listing. But the ala carte was excellent. Must try kimchi pancake, vegetarian bibimbap, bulgogi bibimbap. All generous portions. The menu was a bit confusing and not much description, I wish they made it clear that the lunch options are also available at night (I wouldn't mind paying more for it outside of lunch hours). Will definitely come again!

The food was excellent! Best BBQ I've ever had. Really high quality food! The waiters were super friendly and great at explaining how the charcoal BBQ works and how best to eat it, without imposing themselves on us. Highly recommend it!

The food was ok. The bulgogi beef that I ordered was a little too dry for my taste. BBQ was fantastic! Other food items are ok. Highly recommended.

All you can Korean bbq!!! Best value for money. Pick your meat and cook it to your liking!
$15 charge on top of the bill if you dont eat all of what you pick!

If you are hungry for meat, here must be your top choice. People can have a buffet in a large variety of meat, vegetables and soups. The staff here is the nicest I have ever seen, maybe because I can speak Korean?(laughter), especially Lexi. Btw, the Korean wine there is perfect.

Great all you can eat BBQ with vegetarian and meat options. Friendly, helpful staff.
Also has lunch specials which are tasty and well priced - veggie udon is particularly good.

Had a wonderful night here amazing food and service!! Very affordable too! A hidden gem on Darby Street! Great place to show off to friends your knowledge of the beautiful restaurant scene in Newcastle!

This place is awesome. From the waiters that barely speak english to the excellent food and quality cheap beer. If korean bbq and good times is what you are after look no further.
