Itihaas Parramatta

Fabulous banquet meal with great mains and desserts - barramundi seared in pumpkin sauce and the best butter chicken and lamb shank I’ve had in a very long time. Plus the lads serving us were friendly champions. Sitting out on the street with great conversation watching the busy world go by.

Everything was 10 out of 10 food, service, and the restaurant. I’m a Butter Chicken person, but as one of the friendly staff members recommended Manglorean Chicken, it was the best dish ever (it became my husband’s favourite dish). I will be going back to try another recommended dish.

Best Indian food I've had. Better than Harris Park and any in the CBD. It's like fine dining for Indian food and much cheaper. Amazing quality curries and meat. Outstanding service by Akshay too

AWESOME PLACE! I went here with some of my mates and ordered a lot of food to share around, and every time I tried a different dish, it was just amazing as the one before. Honestly, the place is AWESOME. The food is AWESOME. The service was FANTASTIC! We did wait for a bit for the waiter, but that was okay as it gave us more time to chat and talk about what food to get! I couldn't recommend this place more if you haven't been to it! 🫡💯

This restaurant will not disappoint! The servers were absolutely lovely, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The food was nothing short of perfect, have nothing negative to say about anything. Very affordable, good quality food with outstanding service. Can’t ask for much more :)) will be coming back in no time!!

Friendly staff, great food (well priced) and great vibe (with some of my fav Bollywood tracks playing).
Our fiends and I had a lovely time. We will come back to try out some more things on their menu.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL INDIAN FOOD EVER!!! 5/5 for service, atmosphere, price and quality of ingredients. It’s very hard to find an Indian restaurant where the chef has mastered all aspects of Indian food such as curries, biryanis, entrees and desserts. But oh my lord!! My friend suggested this place and we decided to try it out after work for dinner. We’ve visited twice since! This is now my favourite Indian restaurant as the food is so delicious and of excellent quality and service was just exceptional with really friendly and polite waitstaff. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

Itihaas is a exquisitely good Indian restaurant in the heart of Eat Street Parramatta. The service is excellent. Decor is really good. The food is fantastic. We had a crispy prawn and the Barramundi gunpowder fish as entree which were great with a nice amount of spice. We followed up with Butter Chicken and Goat Nihari - both were melt in the mouth and so delicious! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Came for dinner. Waiter was friendly and helpful, gave us some great recommendations.

The butter chicken was exceptional, naan bread was well made, beef was good but a bit too salty personally, lamb very good. Overall a very fulfilling meal.

Atmosphere was alright, music just enough volume for conversations. Pretty full on a Wednesday evening.

Would suggets owner improving the toilet if possible, looks a bit shabby. Otherwise was an amazing experience.

Especially big thanks to the 2 waiters, proper gentle, friendly and polite gentlemen. Keep up your amazing service gents!

Highly recommend Itihaas for great food & service!
Stopped in for some dinner as we were out in Parramatta. Restaurant was inviting and a bit modern, staff were super helpful and attentive without being over bearing. My husband can't eat dairy though likes meat, and the waiter was more than happy to help guide us through what meat dishes were dairy free.
Food was steaming hot when it arrived and everything was really delicious. I feel like it was also very reasonably priced and good sized portions too.
I was very pleased to be taking home leftovers for lunch the next day.

This restaurant is a gem! We enjoyed our experience as well as the food so much. I recommend chatting to the servers as their suggestions were helpful ☺

First review 2019: Was looking forward to visiting this restaurant after by finding it by chance and it didn't disappoint, went for dinner Saturday night, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back!

Loved the food here, the butter chicken was so flavourful. It has fine dining level service and very nice vibes perfect for dates or group outings with family. They also serve alcohol which is a plus. My friends and have come back for the 4th time now, its that good. Definitely give it a try.

Went to this restaurant for the first time with my kids. I live in liverpool so travelled to Parramatta for dinner at this restaurant. I must say, the food was so delicious. But most importantly, the staffs are so friendly & well trained. They welcome you with a wonderful smile. I have been to many restaurants, but haven't had experience of such a wonderful customer service like Itihaas restaurant does. Excellent food and excellent customer service. I would definitely go back there again with my family.

I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney but this one tops everything!
The ambiance is perfect, the quality of food is good and the taste is exquisite!
Everything we ordered was amazing! The presentation is mind blowing! The cheese garlic naan is a must order dish! They also have something called as a chefs special daily complimentary starter which was also very nice!
The only bad thing is the quantity according to the pricing but otherwise it's top notch!

Absolutely amazing Indian food! Honestly did not expect it to be a great price as well, definitely give the buffet (4pp) a go since that's what we did. The waiters were just super lovely and the atmosphere is so good, recommend to book in advance as well to get a table.
