On our recent visit to Canberra, we had dinner at INKA. I have to say that it was one of the best meals we've had in the recent past. We could not fault a single dish we had ordered, on its flavor, presentation or quality.

Looking forward to going there again.

Great vegan options, we loved every dish. The mocktail was the best I've had. Service was attentive and friendly, will definitely be back!

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary on a Monday night. We tried one of the set menus and everything we had was amazing! My favourites were the truffle tuna tostadas, the potato crisp huancaina and matcha cheesecake, which exhibited a wonderful blend of Japanese and Peruvian flavours.

The atmosphere felt cozy, with the earthy tones and low lighting. The staff were also very friendly and attentive! We would be interested in coming back trying other items on the menu.

INKA is a culinary gem located in the heart of Civic, Canberra. Despite visiting during the peak of Floriade, they accommodated our last-minute booking with ease, seating us promptly.

The drinks menu offered a delightful range of options. We opted for Sakura, Pisco Sour, and Pisco Punch, all of which were impeccably balanced.

Their tasting menus catered to both vegetarians and meat-lovers among us. The starters like Edamame with chilli garlic miso and Ahuaca-Molli set the tone for an exquisite meal.

The entrée and mains courses were a fusion of flavors. From the Assorted Sashimi to the Tori muneniku, each dish was a blend of traditional and contemporary, crafted with the freshest ingredients. The vegetarian and gluten-free options were as rich and flavorful as the rest.

A special mention must go to the Matcha cheesecake, a heavenly concoction that rounded off our dining experience perfectly.

INKA didn’t just serve us food; they offered an experience that was both gastronomically exciting and culturally enriching. High recommendations for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Beautiful restaurant. Very good experience. We got the tasting menu. All dishes were yummy, well presented and faultless. The staff provided prompt service even though the restaurant was full. Definitely recommended for Japanese Peruvian flavours.

Great atmosphere and service. Most of the dishes were delicious, others like the platanos starter so so. The pisco was nice and strong.

Absolutely amazing, we decided to try as we really liked pastuso's take on Japanese/Peruvian food but this place is a whole different level. The tostadas, snapper tiradito, the octopus, the chicken (best chicken breast I've tried in my life so far) and the coconut yuzu dessert were the highlights. The atmosphere is intimate, not pretentious yet classy. The service and drinks were awesome. Super recomend it if in Canberra

This was an absolute gem of a find in the heart of Canberra…. From sitting at the bar waiting for our table to be set, the bartender providing the story of how the Japanese and Peruvian fusion came about, to then being taken to our table upstairs and experiencing the amazing and sumptuous food gave us an such an incredible meal that has me salivating for more……

Would give 10 stars if we could! Amazing decor and ambience in this delightful Japanese/Peruvian gem. We had the 8 course tasting menu. Very generous serves (we even left some). Food was above excellent as was the service. Highly recommend.

Food was fantastic!! Everything is cooked to perfection and no dish is overpowering. You can choose to put more of the jus or sauce with whatever you are having to have extra kick if need be (I prefer mine bland so it was great)

*Guacamole with plantain - lovely guac.
*Classic ceviche - right amount of sour and love the corn
*brussel sprouts with yuzu glaze - on point!
*lamb cutlets with daikon salad, sweet potato puree and spicy miso. Loved it!
*Salmon nigiri - I think sushi rice could have been stronger here but it was still good

I didn't have any sashimi but the sashimi pieces looked thick, chunky and fresh.

I wanted to try the banquet / set menu but needed minimum 2 people in order to order. I guess I'll just have to come back with a friend!

I love it, the food so delicious, service and atmosphere very good too, I thought the portions would be smaller but they were actually very good.
Everything what we had was so good except for the crispy papa huancaina, I tried papa a la huancaina in Peru a few years ago and I was obsessed with the flavor, I was expecting that delicious flavor of the huancaina but we had no luck with this one, everything else is incredibly delicious, highly recommended, we will definitely be back on our next visit to Canberra

Ceviche mixto was delicious. Short rib felt like it needed a bit more flavour, but would still give it 5 stars overall because of the service delivered by the chef at the bar.

An excellent Peruvian Japanese fusion restaurant. The best ceviche I've ever tried in Australia, different varieties of Peruvian Pisco including Pisco sour, Chicano and Pisco Punch. Giancarlo is a really talented chef! I totally recommend it.

Inka was a fantastic choice for a celebration night. The staff were attentive, the atmosphere formal and intimate with dimmed lighting and beautiful decorations, and the best thing, a creative and delicious tasting menu.

We tried the $130 tasting menu and each of the 10 courses was lovely. The seafood was especially well done with the scallops being one of everyone's favourite dishes.

Everything was spiced perfectly with none of the seasoning or sauces overpowering the main component, instead complementing them well.

My personal favourite was the decadent chocolate fondant which was an absolutely divine mix of warm chocolate and miso, ice cream and crisp outside casing. It was one of the best dessert experiences I've experienced so far.

The blend of Peruvian and Japanese food was beautifully done and I cannot wait to come back here again.

Went there for my bday, had the tasting menu, really good experience and good ambience. Highly recommend the ceviche and the cocktail (with green ants).
