Hasties Swamp National Park

A great double decker hide for those interested in a bit of Ornithology. Some laminated boards inside to guide you in identifying the wonderful birds just in front of you.

Great spot. Be sure to check out the bird hide, which features 2 floors, each with information boards that feature pictures and information on the birds you may spot.

A new walking and cycling loop has been built around the perimeter of the swamp and connects to the AHHR Shared Trail.

Absolutely amazing place, so many birds, its August and there are probably 10000, never seen so many birds at one time. There is a two level bird hide and a toilet. We met the man who built the hide. It is a wonderful place

Very peaceful and relaxing to watch the bird life in the sheltered lookout.

Amazing amount and variety of birds at quite close range but really wish I had binoculars to see them more clearly. The information on the species and migrating birds was fascinating too.

This is an ideal place to see many different birds. Evening or morning is the best. You can go to the viewing platform and enjoy the views of the swamp and birds. There is a toilet facility without water. It is a must to have a binocular if you want to see the birds well.

If you like birdwatching, this is the place you should visit. Bring binoculars, a good camera (I didn't 😔) and plenty of mosquitoes repellent.

Birds! Lots of them! This is such a peaceful and fascinating spot, well worth a stop if you're travelling by. It's hard to believe this is tucked between farms and a main road. Please note this is not accessible for people who can't use stairs.

For us it was just beautiful oodles of whistling ducks when we go there on a Misty moisty day. We sat in the hide and had a cup of tea and nibbles just lovely probably a couple of hours there.

All the lovely birds you get to see from the hide. Their was a big bush fire up behind the swamp.

Always see lots of Birdlife here.Been back heaps.

Favourite place for birdwatchers. Not only good for water birds but bush birds as well.

Very spacious double story birdhide, good variety of bird life.

Given 5 star. Why. The bird life is amazing bush chocks walk right up to u. Turtle platerpus was small but great to see the road in good. Car no problem. The toilets are second to non in these sircomstances clean easy access. The views are amazing the dwelings on the hill side atop are photographers delight it's the perfect county seting. A bird lover's dream. It's a must see. Some more BBQ tables be nice

A quality two level bird hide that is positioned to actually see birds. 1000s when I was there. A must see for birders

Peaceful place to having a lunch or snack time.

We sat in the hide for a couple of hours and had a picnic lunch. Hundreds of birds and butterflies. Really enjoyable.
