NRMA Portland Bay Holiday Park

We've stayed here for the last couple of weeks and have found the managers and staff to be wonderful.

Amenities are very clean. The camp kitchen and laundry are well kept.

It's a very short walk into town from here and right outside the back gates you'll find koalas!

As an added bonus, they sometimes have live music in the courtyard.

Well worth the stay!

We arrived late on a Monday night from Adelaide, let them know ahead of our arrival, and they sent through what to do when we arrived.

Great location, walking distance (10 mins) to centre of town. We had breakfast at various places and out for two dinners. The food was good around.

If you're dropping by, this is a great place to camp, tent, cabin, and caravan like we did for 4 nights.

This caravan park is fantastic either for a short stay or a long stay. The facilities were always very clean. The showers were very good, plenty of room to dry off and get dressed. We loved the sound of the bell ringing as the heritage tram went past.
Its a quiet little park, with friendly staff.
We stayed in the unpowered section of the park, the grass was green and lush.

A really good Caravan Park. Lovely quiet location, no road noise. Clean and modern amenities. We had a powered site for our caravan, so I can't comment on the on-site cabins.

Stayed over Easter weekend. Wasn't the best first night as owners told us off for being too noisy. Could have been handled a bit better as it was one of our kids bouncing a ball who has a bit of anxiety thought it was all his fault we were in trouble. But I have to be fair, amenities and all around facilities were amazing. Toilets and showers were impressively clean. Live music, fish and chips truck. Even had a train going around the park for the kids albeit mine didn't get to ride as I felt we were no longer on the owner's good side. Overall great park. Most likely won't come back but would definitely recommend for other people to visit.

Stayed on a powered site for a week. Great managers and friendly staff. Clean and tidy facilities and grounds. 10 out of 10. Koalas in the nearby trees were an added bonus too.

Visited Portland for the first time over the weekend and it’s safe to say that Gav and Dee made it a trip to remember! Fantastic service, great community atmosphere, exceptional facilities (showers, kitchenette, bbq area)
The location is so close to the water as well, making for some breathtaking views. Will definitely be back! Thank you! X

Great place with easy access to the beach via steps a fair walk to the wheelchair access to the beach. Dog friendly usual rules apply. Lots of boat parking as sites are a bit tight to fit car, boat, camping accommodation on friendly staff, short walk to shops

Absolute best camping I’ve been to in yeaaars!
Super welcoming, tons of info from the owners about things to do in and around Portland. Perfectly located in the city centre but also just in front of the ocean. The best and cleanest facilities I’ve EVER seen in a camping in Australia (and I’ve seen my share) all that for a more than affordable price. Absolutely more than recommend.

Wonderful friendly owners and staff, consistently went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. Abundant amenities serviced twice daily.
Grassy sites make for a far less sandy camping experience. We've stayed twice and enjoyed our trip.

Always a pleasant place to stay. Weather was very ordinary especially for summer, but it's Portland, so take a jacket.
Great spot to stroll along the beach and enjoy the beautiful 1800s buildings.
Very nice town.

We cannot fault this park. Owners are really friendly and helpful, great pizza and live music Saturday night. Close to shops and beaches, we travel a lot with our Kelpie and all felt very welcome. Nice communal camp kitchen with a selection of home grown veggies to enjoy, e bikes to hire if you forget yours, we will definately be back.

I've camped here twice and stayed in cabins once. I've already rebooked my site for 2024/25.

This caravan park is the most wholesome family experience you will ever get. Gavin and Dee put their heart and soul into this park and that is exactly what you receive when you stay here.

I'm rebooking my site every year until they tell me I can't.

Great caravan park! The bathrooms were very clean. The lady who checked us in was lovely! (I think her name was Dee)
Lots of birds and wildlife.

We were in a campervan but the accommodation looked great!
Dee and Gavin were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time in Portland. We stayed an extra night!

Portland was an interesting and enjoyable stop over for 2 nights, 16 & 17 October, 2023. Dee and Gav, managers of park. Lovely young couple, engaging with park guests. Happy hour with nibbles for guests and park managers to interact.First caravan park that I've been to that has an enclosed glass cubicle, therefore nothing gets wet whilst you're showering. Would visit Portland again and stay in this park.

The owners couldn't do enough for us. Cabins were great with ocean views. Saw a Koala in the trees at the front of the park. Highly recommend. Can't wait to come back.

Very good equipped, clean and comfortable. Laundry machines are cheap and working well. Camp fire is a highlight.

The owners Gavin & Dee are so welcoming and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special. My partner and I stayed a night before embarking on the 300km Great South West Walk. Dee said she would look after our vehicle in the holiday parks car park for the fortnight we were hiking. Upon our return on a hot afternoon we were welcomed back and congratulated! Dee had kindly booked us in conveniently opposite the ammenities block. The facilities throughout the park are new and kept immaculately. Most Friday nights live music is provided at the fire pit, all guests are welcomed to pull up a chair and enjoy with a bevy of choice! Gavin is a talented singer and guitarist, tasty nibbles often provided by Dee.
Upon checkout the next morning Dee insisted our nights accommodation was on them in celebration of our hike. Graeme and I were blown away by the generosity, thoughtfulness , kindness and hospitality of Gavin & Dee! We will be back again to this amazing area and caravan park. Thank-you Gavin & Dee.🙏
