ohsama ramen

Second time dining here and I think the photo of the empty bowl says it all - ramen was delicious and I slurped up every last bit! Glad the inner south finally has a decent ramen joint!

Last time I got the chicken ramen (which was delicious) so this time I decided to try the spicy miso ramen - the broth was rich, flavorful, and had that perfect balance of umami goodness. I also loved the addition of fresh, crunchy vegetables in the ramen, which not only added a burst of freshness but also made it a complete and wholesome meal. It's rare to find such a thoughtful touch in ramen places, especially in the inner south.

The ambience of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, providing the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their offerings, adding to the overall positive experience. A hidden gem and a welcome addition to the inner south dining scene, looking forward to coming back again to try the other ramen flavours!

Ramen wise can taste is all home make and the chicken ramen soup was outstanding!!! Super clear soup with deep flavor!! Highly recommend, only down site is the egg for me is abit over cooked and the bok choy in the ramen .
BUT!! The takoyaki is just a boom for me! The best takoyaki in canberra I had, must try.
Overall it worth what I paid, and will definitely back for more ramen 🍜

amazingg - serving sizes are large and the restaurant is really nice. the staff are super friendly and helpful. the meat in their dishes melts in your mouth and is totally worth the price. i’d definitely recommend the dumplings - wasn’t expecting them to be so good 😳 will be back to try more!

Really good Ramen, good flavour. I will admit the price is a bit high but I'm comparing to Sydney where there is more options, so I guess it's relative. When we went it was busy but managed to get in without a booking. I suggest making a booking to avoid being turned away.

I tried the traditional tonkasu ramen and pork gyoza which are soooo delicious. The chef is so professional and staff is so kind as well. Definitely recommend.

I tried Hokkaido Ramen for lunch and it tasted great. It's not spicy but you can add chilli sauce. It really suits for a rainy and cold weather. I bought the chestnut cake for take away. It's just so yummy. Definitely coming back and planning to try other food.

The best ramen I’ve ever tried in Canberra, the pork broth is So creamy and delicious. We also had the wonton soup which was amazing too! Definitely recommended.

Tasty ramen in Canberra! I would be coming back. I loved the juicy tasty pork, which was a thicker slice than most places. The ramen had nice tasting broth and had thick decent noodles. Overall a good portion, but a little pricer compared to other places in Canberra but not a problem. It's a smaller sized restaurant so you may need to wait for a table, but quick service time for food afterwards. They had friendly and helpful staff, and seemed to be friendly towards each other too which you don't see in many restaurants.

I came in for lunch, I was greeted by the most lovely man who helped me chose a meal. He seated me and was so kind and attentive - I watched his greet every other customer the same way. The food was hot fresh and delicious. 100% recommend

My friend and I were fortunate enough to try Ohsama's new Japanese style hot pot 石狩鍋 Ishikari Nabe (Hokkaido salmon hot pot). This dish originates from Hokkaido in Japan where it's sooooo cold in winter. The soup base is prepared with miso, mirin and sake. Seafood and vegetables are cooked in the hot pot as you eat, while rice and noodles can be added at the end to soak up all the wonderful flavours of the soup. It was delicious and body-warming - perfect winter food. Yuzu soy sauce and sesame dipping sauce were provided, which made the perfect accompaniment. The staff at Ohsama are always polite and pleasant. It was a really enjoyable dining experience! Can't wait to come back to try other food.

Come here at least once a week. Very tasty. Have had all the Ramens. Spicy Ramen is excellent. Tonkotsu is favourite. Pork buns are yum. This place is awesome.
