Paperchain Bookstore

Out of all the bookshops I have been to this one is the best.
Very very large collection of mythology and classics. The people working there are helpful and nice to talk to.
Prices for books are reasonable,the only problem I have is that if you walk in you will buy lots of books.

Paperchain is a rare book lovers delight. It has all manner of books to challenge, entertain or persuade the emotion that you simply must buy this special book. So if you love books and love buying them for that difficult friend I challenge you to not find something suitable.

Great bookstore with friendly staff. If the book you're after is not there they will order it for you and call or text when it arrives. Nice places to sit and relax too. Love it!

Favourite bookshop in Canberra, always find different things to the standard bookshop chains.

In my opinion Canberra's best shop for new books. The staff are friendly, know their stock, and have a good sense of humour. There are so many books one's posture improves, as one moves between the well labelled shelves. Once inside I always leave with an interesting reasonably priced book.

Just love poking around in independent bookshops.

One of my favourite bookshops. I usually buy about $200+ everything I visit. They may not have a wide selection in some categories, but the popular authors are all there and they have a very good range in more eclectic categories that I don't seem to be able to find elsewhere.
The service is excellent - very friendly and personable as well as knowledgeable. There is no rush or overbearing offers to help - these people are sincere and very helpful. They are happy for you to browse and even just sit on the couch and rest or read.
And for me, they are right next door to my favourite restaurant, Caphs. Nothing like a leisurely exceptional meal with service to match as you read one of the books you just bought. A pretty good way to finish a week.

Not every bookshop is the same. An unremarkable shop in a concrete compound...Until. The detail of items available doesn't just draw your eye from cover to cover along spine after spine, butnit holds a little gem for everyone who saunters in. I found mine...a present for my daughter. A beautiful little piece of artwork by Tania McCartney...

Great local bookstore. Especially good range of Australian fiction and works by Canberra writers, as well as cute greeting cards and tote bags. Staff are nice and will help you find what you're after.

The best bookshop left in Canberra. Knowledgeable staff who are happy to order hard-to-find and out-of-stock products in. Good selection of all kinds (literary fiction and history sections are particularly well-stocked) and very close to many cafés.

A lovely local independent bookshop with exended hours - meaning I can pop by after work if I feel like a treat. Friendly staff are only too happy to make special orders if what you want isn't on the shelf.

Always seem to visit this bookshop qhen in Canberra. They have many titles over and above the run of the mill bookshop with speciality history topics often catching my eye. Always walk away with another book or 3 for the collection or that special gift. Also a great place to wait out the rain to choose a book to read in one of the many cafes close by.

Wonderfully, genuinely happy helpful staff and a broad range of books and more. And they were right onto social distancing (AKA CoViD-oVoiDistancing) ahead of time. No wonder that Paperchain has been able to transcend online order services and prosper
