Lovely shop and very helpful staff. I wanted to try the Millpost Merino 8 ply and buy 2 - 3 balls and this shop had some in stock. Some other online retailers may be slightly cheaper for this item but I wanted to see and feel the yarn and get some advice on how much yarn I need.

Delightfully set out little shop with everything for the yarner! Pleasant and knowledgeable staff, who were patient and informative. Good pricing, great range of quality yarns at good prices. Very good selection of up to date patterns for modern knitting. Thanks to Helen

After cutting open a package I received from overseas, I realised I had cut out a section of a baby sweater knitted by my wife’s Scottish grandmother for our soon to arrive baby. Naturally, emotions were high and we started panicking, when I found the wooldshed in the hopes of seeking someone to help mend the sweater. The lady in the shop was splendid, super helpful and friendly. She saved the day by mending the baby sweater and just when I was willing to pay, she said she was paying it forward for the arrival of our baby. A real generous, kind and thoughtful act. We can’t even see the difference. She did a remarkable job and we are thrilled. Really, really grateful for such helpful and thoughtful businesses and people. Thank you Woolshed
