Amazing food, well worth the price. Tasty, fresh, and flavoursome. Did not have to wait very long for our order which was great. Our family thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we will definitely return in the future and recommend to our family and friends

Excellent food here, it’s a shame their city restaurant has closed. I love their pan fried pork buns especially because the base is pan fried to perfection with the right level of crispy-ness. It is probably the best you can find in town. Second best dish to try here is their braised pork belly where the sauce has all the right flavours and seasoning, the portion is generous and it also comes with a decent portion of bok choy to go with it.

Had the best experience at New Shanghai last night. We had a big group and shared lots of dishes and we couldn’t fault the night. Food was all amazing, came out quickly and staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Too many highlight dishes, but loved the Salt & Pepper Prawns and Calamari, Rainbow Beef and the Slow Braised Pork Belly. Will certainly be back.

It's good that Chadstone has this restaurant. I really like the food, service and atmosphere.
The price is also reasonable. 👌

We thought to give New Shanghai Chadstone a try as it has been a very long time (pre-covid) when we last had it at Emporium in the city. All the dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious!
Entree we ordered two cold dishes drunken chicken and chilled jelly fish with shredded turnips the seasoning was perfect 👌🏻.
Mains we ordered xiao long bao, prawn wontons with peanut sauce and chilli oil, kung pao chicken and Shanghai noodles. All fantastic and great dishes, family definitely loved them.
Family agreed all dishes was much more tasty and yummy than the one in emporium! WOW 🤩

Very efficient and polite service. Good food quality.

The food is great and so is the price.
The line can get very long during peak hours but we were able to skip it as we don't mind sitting in high chairs.

Staffs were friendly and approachable. Overall, great place to have a lunch or dinner with friends and family.

Absolutely LOVE the Shepards purse here, super flavourful and hits the spot. There is normally a line for dinner on the weekend, but it’s worth the wait! Great food, give it a go - doesn’t deserve the low star rating

New Shanghai is definitely a restaurant to go to if you want quick, tasty and hot Chinese food. The Xiao long bao is must. Great friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommended.

We ordered dumpling, 麻婆豆腐, fried rice and 小籠包. Everything was really tasty and was a good atmosphere.

We were able to get in before the long queue at 11:30 so didn't have to wait long for a table. Price was moderate but the food was worth it and would come back for it. Favourite was the 'prawn wonton with chilli oil, peanut & sesame sauce'.
