Daintree Ecolodge

Over an hour drive from Cairns, the pictures online do not do this place justice. The staff are amazing specifically managers Robby and his partner Julia, who made sure everything was catered for personally. The rest of the staff are perfect, and the food is 5-star quality every single time, can recommend the Spa, the dining experiences, the rooms have been refurbished so they are more modern, personally I loved the lagoon rooms for the amazing view. This place is an amazing find, perfect for couple getaway!!
(tipping optional, but I spent around $400 in tips alone when I left).

We ate here for lunch (they have recently extended their restaurant hours to offer lunch as well as breakfast and dinner). There is a limited menu for lunch which we were told about in advance. It was absolutely lovely. Beautiful food, beautiful setting, lovely service. A truly wonderful way to immerse yourself in the Daintree. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, stylish hotel in the middle of the rainforest, very Soho House-esque. We loved chilling on the verandah in our room listening to the sounds of the babbling stream and abundant wildlife. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Oh and the spa was also great, we can recommend the Welcome treatment!

WOW! We stayed here for 2 nights while on our honeymoon and are still obsessed. The view, service and serenity are unmatched. We loved our degustation dinner, picnic lunch hamper, rainforest walk and all their friendly staff. We can't thank them enough for making our stay so special. We highly recommend Daintree Ecolodge!

Spent three nights at this rainforest haven. On arrival thought the rooms a little outdated and looking sad but very clean. Crisp white sheets, comfortable mattresses, and white soft bath towels.
What makes this accomodation spectacular is the ambience of the restaurant, especially at night and the professionalism of the Lodge's staff, from reception, waiters and waitresses alike, bar staff who know how to mix a cocktail and make a perfect Irish Coffee to the staff who make up the rooms. Thank you to the Chefs who gave us taste explosions and sent us messages on our plates written in chocolate.

What a relaxing retreat! The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful experience. The food is some of the best we’ve ever had. Great cocktails, recommend the pepperberry margarita and eco espresso. We are huge espresso martini fans and the eco espresso is the best we’ve ever had! Massages at the spa were incredible, felt de-stressed and so relaxed afterwards. Loved the pool. Overall it was an incredible experience that we will never forget!

The rooms were immaculate, a little dated but very clean. My sister and I had an amazing 4 days there and will treasure it for a lifetime.

Went here for my wife’s 50th birthday and we loved it. Food and cocktails were amazing. We had the degustation on one of the nights - spectacular! Wish the rooms had an open balcony but suspect you would be eaten alive by mozzies or have unwelcome guests in your room in the form of the wildlife! Very relaxing massage and enjoyed the cocktail class. Well done everybody.

We stayed two nights at the Daintree ecolodge. Fantastic location. A unique experience in the tropical forest. Forest life seems to wake up as the sun sets and dining outside while the forest resounds with birdsong and frogs is a unique experience. Refined environment and food prepared with great care. Spices used with the right balance, great choice of quality food. Perhaps the breakfast could be slightly enriched. Good ingredients, but it should be allowed to take more dishes and not just choose between sweet or savory and with a small portion of fruit. Excellent cuisine. Overall very positive experience. A small problem with the room service was promptly resolved with unexpected and very appreciated offer of two gifts from the management. Highly recommended. We will come back again. Thank you James and all the staff.

This place was amazing. The location is perfect, in the rainforest, stunning! The food was amazing- honestly: just stay here and eat all of your meals here as the food is Devine. The staff were great too, excellent service. They have a great bar too.
We went on a river cruise, this is a must experience as well.

Lovely place. Bring some ear plugs as people walking past can be loud. Breakfast is delightful and excellent vegan menu. Bring bug spray and the facility has some bug spray but the lodge should give you some for the room. Cathy at the Spa gave an excellent massage and facial which we would highly recommend. Staff were excellent and service for food and drinks great.

We loved our stay, room was quiet and had amazing views of the forrest. The walk to the waterfall was also a nice added treat. The star of the show was the breakfast, we had different things both days and all 4 meals were exceptional. Cocktails and dinner were good and well priced - you get what you'd expect. The only downsides were minor things like a broken curtain and a dirty coffee dish. these didnt diminish our stay though would highly recommend to anyone.

The eco resort was amazing!!! Service, Food, Location, everything was incredible! We really didn't want to leave, there was so much rare wildlife on the property, and the restaurant onsite was amazing.

Be prepared for bugs and lots of local frogs, skinks and for them all to sing you to sleep with the sound of the creek running past your room.

It was a great spot to enjoy some luxury and switch off from the world for a little while. Also the perfect location as a home base to explore the Daintree across the river.

Also, be sure to ask staff for recommendation on tour guides and things to do! They know all the best vendors and spots to visit!

We stayed for 2 nights and the staff were amazing - really welcoming and helpful. We loved the feeling of intimacy this place has. The lagoon rooms were beautiful and to serenaded to sleep by the local frogs and nightlife was surreal. The breakfast were fabulous and the coffee was so good.
The walk to the waterfall was well worth it and the tranquility was a special addition to our experience.
We will definitely be back

What an experience. As soon as we walked in we felt so super welcomed and the staff were just so lovely and friendly. It's a place where you truly get to experience nature.
The highlight was having the unique degustation dining experience next to the little lagoon.. Highly recommend to try it as it was so tranquil, relaxing and the food was superb. I must say the food we had was such a highlight during our entire northern Queensland trip.

Stayed over Christmas as my first solo vacation in over a decade. The staff were amazingly warm and welcoming I never felt lonely. They were all well informed and were always happy to offer options and their personal advice on what to do and where to visit every day depending on my mood.

I also had the best massage in my life at their spa

Amazing experience. Will definitely be returning for my next Daintree holiday.

Food was exceptional!

Simply stunning!!

The lagoon bayan was modern, spacious, clean, airy and comfortable, with all amenities provided.

The restaurant is also set amongst a stunning setting by the lagoon, with the food being fresh and delicious, although the same menu every day.

All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful too.

Most importantly being “eco”, the boutique hotel is very conscious of the impact on the natural environment, local community and indigenous people, so respects each aspect accordingly.

I didn’t get to experience the spa or pool, as I was too mesmerized by the setting of my balcony in the afternoon sun. However I did go for a swim at the private waterfall, which was very special setting itself.

When traveling I usually only spend time at my accommodation to sleep and nothing more, yet not at Daintree Ecolodge. I made sure to spend each afternoon sitting on my balcony overlooking the lagoon whilst taking in the sounds of the rainforest.

Overall gorgeous and very delighted I stayed, I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing dinner the chef smashed it with all his suprises!! & Sam the manager was able to come up with anything we needed to be comfortable! To umbrellas or even just a slight change on the cocktails really appreciated all the tiny details and the intimate service! Highly recommend’

Ohh & the views out do themselves in rain hail or shine you feel at peace and relaxed as soon as you get there! Beautiful noises that you couldn’t even find on Spotify if you tried 😝

Amazing place in Daintree!
Best location not far from the ferry to Cape Trib and next to Daintree Village if you want to do the Daintree river cruise.
The room are very clean and comfy, very good service and nice staff! Really worth it
