We went to Fiction for a dinner before a show, and we absolutely loved it.
The atmosphere was surprising electric and quite busy for an earlier booking.
The service was friendly, the meals we had were absolutely delicious, and real value for money. Not too forget the beautiful location sitting on the water at Raby Bay.
We really enjoyed Fiction and would like to return with a larger group.

The food, drinks and service was 5 star.
We have been looking to go here for some time and this was the perfect opportunity. We live nearby and pass Fiction every day on our walk. It's always busy and the food on patron's tables always looks inviting. Thanks to the service we have booked for the "Feast of the South East" buffer this month.
Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Yummy food, well priced, great location, My hubby and I went here on almost all our date night 🥰🥰 never had a complain, always perfect, highest compliment for the chef too, well done on the Indonesian dishes ☺☺

This was not the first time I went to the restaurant. I have always had good experiences so far. The steak initially was a bit over-grilled and tasted bitter. After communicate with the staff, they did the right thing to replace it. Although it wasn’t perfect, I’d like to give it a 5 starts review and recommendation to people as they have the freidndly service attitude and decent food quality.

Have had a couple of wonderful birthday lunches here. Food is completely en point. The only downside would be a large booking does not guarantee a good placement due to configurations of tables. Being waterfront would prefer a table making the most of the view and not wedged at the end of the dining area at right angles to the water as we have now been two years in a row. The place wasn’t busy so I think we could have had a better view. However food was amazing, staff are gorgeous. I left two bottles of wine under the table that were birthday presents when I went home And didn’t expect to see them again and the staff rescued them for me ❤

The restaurant is located at Raby Bay Habour. It was my second time here, food quality, service and portion size been consistent.

We ordered pork ribs ($38), steak ($36) and Buddha bowl ($19 + $8 extra Mongolian beef). The taste of food was amazing, especially the beef in buddha bowl and the e pork ribs. All the dishes we had came with veggies - either salad or roasted veggies.

🍽 Service - ⭐ 5/5
All the staff were very attentive. We were welcomed and seated shortly after walking in. Food did not take too long to serve. The steak was a bit over-grilled and taste a but bitter on the surface, the staff then replace another serving with less burnt surface.

🍽 Ambiance - ⭐5/5
The seating was comfortable. Tablets were not too close to each other. The interior design and the partially dimmed lighting made the atmosphere romantic, suitable for couple dating or friends gathering events.

🍽Value of money - ⭐5/5
The portion of the food was huge.

💖Dishes recommendation:
1) Pork ribs - huge portion size, comes with rice, sweet potato wedge and salad.

2) Buddha Bowl - healthy eating option, comes with brown rice, salad and having extra beef add a bonus.

We do not live locally in Raby Bay but definitely will be back next time for this restaurant!

Love the asmophere here, everyone enjoys the sunbathing. Large inside and outside seating area. Heps of drinks variety to choose from. Definitely reasonable price for the lunch set and wine list. Can't imagine how beautiful while sunset.

Excellent food and service, highly recommend. Only thing that baffled us was how quiet it was by 8:30pm?

We had my daughters baby shower get together today. The staff were exceptional and so lovely. Nothing was a problem and very helpful. They even heated baby bottle for my grandson. I highly recommend this place as they did the nicest set up, food was beautiful and I was sold by the staffs friendliness. A winner for me.

How good
The view over the marina is wonderful... And the food is flawless.
From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and efficient. You're probably thinking to yourself, "isn't that what they are supposed to be?". Simple answer is YES.
But... In this case you could tell they actually enjoy what they are doing and liked their jobs.
That makes the friendliness genuine... And the service a pleasure.
And... Once you get past the view... And the staff... There is the food.

Absolutely amazing.
Fabulous balance of flavours... And just as importantly, they are like little pieces of artwork on a plate.

Today was Prawn and Crab rice paper rolls... Arancini Balls... Chinatown Black Peppered beef... And the special of the day which was a 34 hour cooked Pork belly concoction which was simply amazing.
I mentioned how good they looked... Did I say how scrumptious they tasted? I did...???
Well... I guess it deserves mentioning again.
Absolutely amazing.
I normally don't like going back to places a second time as I often find myself disappointed that it wasn't as good as the first.
This time... I can't wait to go back again and try some more of that menu.
Everything that came out from the kitchen, I had food envy for.
Couldn't be happier with my choices today... But I want to try this... And that... And that other thing.

Lovely views, spacious and modern looking. Clean. Friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor dining. My steak lunch meal was perfect esp mushroom sauce, my friend asked me to post that her calamari was not crispy but soggy maybe undercooked. I def recommend this place, has a nice feel to it 😊

Food was fantastic, great value for money. And the eye fillet steak cut like butter. Chefs kiss.

Lovely spot at Raby Bay Marina. Plenty of seating options. Great selection of food and drinks and a perfect way to spend time on looking out to the water no matter what the weather. Great for couples, groups and or any type of celebration.

I had the pleasure along with my wife & other family members to enjoy lunch at this wonderful establishment right in the heart of the Raby Bay Harbour.

My brother & myself enjoyed the best Lamb Shanks, served with potato & beautiful vegetables, along with gravy 😋

My wife & sister in law enjoyed the Calamari dish, which was superb 👌

The one point that is worth mentioning is that the customer service from the outset was fantastic 👏, nothing was a problem.

Fiction Bar & Restaurant menu caters to everyone's needs, including children. People with special dietary requirements are also catered for.

There is a large range of assorted drinks such as cocktails, craft beers 🍻 ,spirits & other assortment of beer on tap.

Prior reservations, particularly during peak periods of the year, are advised.

This particular area of the Raby Bay Harbour is a wonderful place to relax & enjoy everything about what is on offer in this area of South East Queensland 😀

First impressions last. Our table waiter was thorough, courteous, and friendly. Overall his service was of high standards. Think his name was Mark, originally from the Philippines. Positive good vibe type of person which made our experience enjoyable.

Quality food, cooked to perfection and presented well on our plates.

Our Columbian waiter was absolutely marvellous, 23 people and all meals correct, no fuss, smiling and calm, a very pleasant experience all round. The Barramundi was very popular and all the lunch menu options were very good value. 3 cocktails for $45 went down well with many of the ladies. Excellent service, delicious food and value for money is why we enjoy our dining experience! Thank you to the Manager and all the staff on their professionalism on such a busy day!

We were part of a group Christmas function ie pre-booked.
The staff were all friendly, helpful & happy.
The food (canapés) were delicious & provided choice for everyone, including Vegetarian-specific canapés.
The toilets were clean, tidy & within walking distance inside the restaurant.
The view is magnificent of the water, yachts & the sunset was incredible to watch.

Lovely lunch, the cocktail list is substantial and the Bloody Mary was amazing. I had the truffle risotto which was incredible it did need extra Parmesan which staff were happy to provide. On our table we also ordered the barramundi which was delicious and fresh, as well as the pork belly burger- sadly the slice of meat used was awkward to eat in a burger however it the taste was there. Great work guys can’t wait to come back.

We had lunch with two very good friends and the whole experience was fantastic. The service was first rate and the food was just delicious. A comfortable relaxing venue with views of the marina. Highly recommended. 👽👍
