Found a park easy, people coming and going regularly. Benches bbqs and an Island walk at low tide. Took my binoculars for the great views of the port, water birds and islands. Would go back have a picnic and chill.

This is surely a place to visit. If you don't have it on your agenda or in your things to do whilst in Brisbane, then you've missed out. It is a beautiful beach/picnic place to relax and enjoy the cool breeze. It is convenient and suitable for all age group. Couples wanting to get away and be somewhere for a lovely talk wouldn't regret it. A family wanting kids to expel their energy would like it too. At this place, you get to see 3 islands at once. Personally, a thing I like about this place is the walk to king Island. You can walk to the island when the tides are low and just as the sun is setting, you see the water slowly rising and covering the entire place. It is an incredible thing to see and makes one more grateful for the wonders of this world. Kids love it there. There is a playground and a low tree that adventurous kids would love to climb. The only thing that this place lacks is food. Though there are restaurants nearby, just ensure that you have food and some drink before you get there. It is a great spot and you won't regret it. Be adventurous, get away and go - give it a try. No one will advise you to revisit it again later in life.

Very similar to Victoria Point but with a great low tide walk out to the conservation island, just get your tide times right else it’s a long wait! 😂
There’s a lovely cafe if you don’t want to cook which does get busy at times. Very nice coffee there.
You can also catch the local ferry from this point out to the islands.
Another spot worth visiting in the Bay Area.

This was my first visit, and it is an absolutely beautiful spot for a visit with the family and to enjoy a picnic.
I had fish and chips from the cafe there and they were yummy.
Would highly recommend a trip out here, views are lovely and at low tide you can walk out to the island.

Beautiful location for day trip. The only downside is the food options there are very ordinary. I strongly recommend stopping and buying your lunch in the small group of shops just prior to arriving at the Point. There is a great fish and chips shop just before heading down to the Point.

What a fantastic place to come for a day, or a lunch with the family or friends or both. So many places to eat under cover or on the grass under the shade of the huge fig trees. A fantastic kids' play area with good equipment for them to enjoy. An amazing vista from so many aspects.

Wellington Point is absolutely beautiful, making it an ideal place for a picnic or for taking the kids for a swim. There is a really nice sand bar that connects to a small island called King, which visitors love to walk out to when the conditions are right. Additionally, there is a jetty where visitors enjoy jumping off. All of these features make it a perfect family destination. But the cons are. The parking space is limited, and fines may occur if you park in the boat trailer park. There is one good playground on the side near King Island, but the other one is equipped with mediocre exercise equipment and a very small playground.

Great location for everyone. Two play area’s for the kids. The causeway out to King island is a pleasant walk at low tide. Nice undercover BBQ area. Good boat ramps. A very enjoyable location.

The beachside picnic area exceeded my expectations! The stunning views, serene atmosphere, and well-maintained facilities made for a perfect day. The picnic spots were clean, equipped with tables, and strategically placed for optimal enjoyment. Whether you're with family or friends, this spot deserves a solid 5 stars for its beauty, tranquility, and overall delightful experience.

A lovely park with heaps of space for people and animals alike! Lots of dogs here, so it's a nice place to gather for walking your ON-leash dogs. Don't forget about Springtime! If you're walking around, pay attention to the birds telling you to find a different path! They're just trying to protect their eggs and raise some sweet little babies~

My partner and I brought our own bird for a little picnic and we seemed welcome enough to place our blanket down within the nest perimeter but we noticed that anyone with a dog was quickly ushered away by the bird parents screaming.

What's better than taking a walk along a beach?

Taking a walk along a beach to a beautiful island under the Queensland sunshine🚶‍♀☀

King Island at Wellington Point is the perfect spot to stretch your legs and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the Bayside area.

The walk to circumnavigate the island is over 2 ½ km, so make sure you keep an eye on the tide or you'll be wading or swimming back to the shoreline.

The parkland reserve at Wellington Point has everything you could ask for, cool sea breezes, ample shady picnic spots, and a restaurant and cafe just across the road ☕

For the boaties there's a boat ramp handy, or if you're looking for a day of fishing then the jetty will be the perfect location to wet a line.

Great little spot with a nice restaurants and ice cream shop and also take away. Good place to have a walk or have a picnic and has a good kids play area as well. You can just sit and relax or walk to King Island in low tide as well.

We stopped here for fish n' chips and stayed to watch the sun go down. Amazing. There was quite a wait for the food, but that's an indication demand is high and so is quality. People were walking back from King Island and as the tide came in there were kite surfers and kayakers enjoying the bay. Lots of families having a great time too.

Great spot for all ages, we arrived at 9am plenty of parking, there's two parks for the kids, a spot for swimming with a life guard, jetty for boating and toilets and a cafe, coffee was really good and the public BBQs were clean and tidy. What a great way to spend the long weekend !!

Nice place to spend a day. We tried to walk up to the island but couldn’t gather enough courage as we were not dressed for it not we had any life jackets(just in case).
But, it looked like we can just walk upto the island there.
Not huge waves so it’s good place for kids to play safe.
Some restaurants nearby and a jetty on the other side.

Lovely spot for families. Crab hunting, boat dock, public toilets, bbq's, tables, pier you can fish off, playground and lots of trees for shade. There is a walk over to kings Island which IMO is best done on a partly cloudy day as it is a 1km walk and it can get really hot walking. Parking can be difficult but overall awesome spot.
