Amazing hospitality.

My partner was not feeling very well and the owner Tanju personally went and got her some lemon and ginger tea.

The food was delicious and the portions were very generous.

It was also wheelchair accessible for me.

Highly recommend.

We booked a table for a large dinner for a birthday and Thai Tong absolutely went above & beyond to ensure we had some privacy, our own area in the restaurant.
The service was excellent with the owner greeting us, making us feel at home & ensuring we were happy with the arrangements.
The food was EXCELLENT! So much flavour, everything was spot on! Flavours are amazing.

The only downside was the restaurant closes at 8.30 and we were having a great time & wanted to stay longer…

We had a group of 17, they gave us our own private spot up the back (we love that)
The owner was so involved and checked we were enjoying everything. We did a tapas style type with the food and it was delicious! Plus we got to trie one of each dish - nothing disappointed! Fresh coconut was awesome! Would recommend! AND we had three of our friends with birthdays they even put candles on the cake, put the lights down and sung with us all. 10/10

This is a favourite restaurant of ours and yesterday we took my sister and her husband with us. We were hungry so ordered a few extras dishes than we would normally. 4 adults shared 7 entrees, 4 mains, 1 dessert and 5 drinks (non alcoholic) and the bill come to $210. We were absolutely full and extremely satisfied and couldn't believe it cost only $52 per person.
This restaurant is great value as well as having amazing food and wonderful service. My brother in law commented it was the best meal he had ever eaten. The specialty dish of the whole fried fish is beyond anything you would ever get anywhere else. I personally dream about the duck curry and prawn laksa. Unfortunately we do not live close by, in fact it is an hours drive away but worth the time. We usually order 2 meals, one to eat there and one take away for the next day. If you ever find yourself in Yandina this is one place not to miss.

Food during travel is often full of surprise. 1 of the better asian food i had tried in Australia. A Thai restaurant tuck in the small rural town of Yandina. The taste food is full of thai flavours and not too spicy to suit local taste. The Sweet and Sour Fish was filleted for easy consumption. And both meat and bone was fried to great perfection. Great Thai restaurant in the centre of Yandina. We had very tasty Tom Yum and Pad Thai. The ambience is really pleasant and you dine on the deck. The only thing I would want to improve on is the mango used in the coconut sticky rice dessert which was a bit too sour. Other than that, it is perfect.

We have been to this restaurant twice now and it's sort of a drive to get there but the food is so worth the drive. We have tried the chicken Laksa probably the best I've every had on the coast, Pad Thai and sizzling plate, which is sizzling alright and medium heat was just perfect, beef chilli. It's very authentic. #genxplorers

Well balanced flavours. I wouldn't hesitate to having a meal here with my 3 years old daughter. One big plus probably the one of the cleanest restaurant I've ever dined in.

Arrived 15 minuets before last food order, sorry, but the food was amazing, the staff was young, but so courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!!

Absolutely love this restaurant. Everytime I come I am greeted pleasantly, food is prepared in a timely manner and always very delicious! My family and I have come many times and always impressed after each meal. I highly recommend Thai Tong!

Really great Thai. We had a table of 16 people, and ordered 12+ plates. Great authentic flavours and really really nice owner who greets you and serves you with his wonderful personality. Very enjoyable experience, service and great food!

Hands down the best Thai restaurant on the Sunshine Coast.
We come about once a month. The whole steamed Chu chee is a winner as is the mussuman beef.
Nice deck to sit on. Service is spot on. Also good wine list very well priced.

Great Thai food, friendly staff. I love the roast duck curry. I've been a few times with family members and friends and always enjoyed it.
I've driven up from Brisbane a couple of times for dinner, it's well worth the trip.

A beautiful blend of herbs and spices, with obvious attention to what does what with what (salt, fat, acid, heat, but also liquid and solid, crunchy with soft, dispersed notes so every mouthful is different).

Not how you might expect a Jungle Curry to be, so if you want everything to be the same everywhere you go, get thee to McThai.
How marvellous to enjoy the meal and ask what's in it while paying the bill, only to have our host pause in silence (oh dear, you don't know?), before they rattled off a comprehensive list including seasonal varietals - I knew it was the Holy Basil!
I used to grow and eat vast quantities of European basil (to the point where my mouth became temporarily numb - try it if you have a toothache). I then made the mistake of growing and eating a vast quantity of Holy Basil.
Um, lets just say I wasn't safe to drive or operate machinery for a while.
But I was surprisingly clear about the path to enlightenment (I just closed the door and turned to face the enormity).
Sadly, I learned nothing and is still a idiot.
The quantities used here are well within safety limits as it's a few leaves here and there (not the whole woody shrub - yes, Holy Basil is a woody shrub) and the flavours are amazing, but it did give me flashbacks to a mis-spent middle age.

This is a fantastic little restaurant tucked away in a corner of sleepy old Yandina. I've been there 5 or 6 times now, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and tasty. With a large variety to choose from. The staff are always friendly and eager to please. Definitely worth a visit on your next trip to this part of the world.

Been there for lunch, enjoyed my food. Took a bit time for food to come on table. But it was worth it.
Got fried dim sum and seafood tempura for entree.. both crunchy and condiments are top notch.
After a while got my seafood Tom yum, and fried rice
Both were top notch.
