We have been buying Oreco products for our garden for the last five years, and they are excellent! The Sugar Cane Mulch is the best value on the market!

September, Spring 2022. Its time for the annual mulch buy, BUT.
. . VERY unsure about buying Oreco Sugar Cane Mulch again.(Bunnings) After purchasing for over TEN years, the last batch i received was very poor.
Grey. Not sweet Smelling.
Has there been a change of Management? What happened !?
I am due to buy another years supply, but after last year (poor quality.) I am very hesitant.
Has product returned to high quality yet?

Poor quality product. See what I found inside potting mix :( However after sending an email to Oreco group I did get a refund.

I purchased Oreco Oaten Chaff from your company and it is covered in red dirt. Batch 6020. My horses are coughing and spitting food out. Farmers are not suppose to cut extremely low and this is why it is covered in dirt, which means it is poor quality. You need to source hay from a different farmer or check quality before you buy.

Purchased 2 bags of sugar cane mulch today.
First time I have used this brand.
Opened bag , spread it out and there is blue nylon throughout bag.Very very fine blue nylon.
Not a good thing if you are applying for your Standards Australia Certificate.
I notice you have a ACO certification number.
Not good at all applying waste nylon around your garden.
Very very poor

I contacted this company about being tailgated by one of there vehicles and 5 days later I have not had any communication from them. I therefore believe that this is the type of driving that the company endorsers. They no doubt spend thousands of dollars on web sites, marketing/ advertising to have it all ruined by treating their customers badly. Reading through the other comments, I can see that they have low standards all round.
Customer service does not stop at the point of sale.
I will no longer be buying there products. I can get my requirement from other suppliers and am prepared to pay a premium if necessary to a company that doesn’t try and force me off the road. They obviously believe that customer service stops at the point of sale and that once they have your money they don’t care about you any more.
Below is the email that I sent them and had no response to.

Today, November 15th, at 4:30 pm ish, I was driving north along the Childers highway towards Bundaberg. As I passed Kevin Livingstone drive one of your company cars pulled out behind me. It was a grey Volkswagen Amarok. He then caught up with me and tailgated me for the next 3 kilometres or so up to CordaIba/ tardas road. I was doing 100 in a 100 zone when he caught me up and then proceeded to try and force me off the road by tailgating me. He was constantly 2 to 3 meters off my back bumper the whole way still at 100 kilometres per hour. He was so close that I could only see the top of his bonnet and bottom of his windscreen.
In the end I moved over to let him past and he accelerated away as though I had broken down.
I was driving a grey Holden Cruze rego ******
I would like to know; Is this the kind of driving that your company promotes from its staff.

Purchased sugarcane mulch contaminated with red soil. No apology from company, who also seemed uninterested in a proper conversation about it. Will never buy from them again. 'Brunnings' brand of sugarcane mulch is much better !!
