Gowan Lea supplied the timber for all the elements of the new boardwalk at Sunshine Plaza. Their assistance from design to delivery was invaluable in providing a quality, durable and functional space for the client. This large commercial project was completed to a demanding schedule and Jim’s ability to source and deliver materials in a timely fashion was essential for us to meet construction targets. We have had a long and successful relationship with Gowan Lea and this latest collaboration demonstrates why they are our preferred timber supplier.

I’ve been dealing with Gowan Lea Timbers for almost 8 years now have and found their one-on-one service their best attribute by far. Not only are they competitive price-wise, you can talk to their sales people who understand the trade and accommodate our projects with tight timelines. This is very important to us as we do large, complex commercial jobs, often interstate, such as Hoyt’s Cinemas, Hogs Breath Café’s, festival fitouts etc, which can be logistical nightmares, but are never a problem for Gowan Lea. I have found their hardwood products to be the best quality of anywhere I’ve seen and if a certain size doesn’t work they will custom make it to do the job. After a fruitless ring around to a number of other suppliers on the coast who gave me the run around and seemed in a hurry to get me off the phone, I called my builder mate who told me to call "the mob near the airport, i cant remember their name but they're the best". A quick google search and a phone call and Sharyn answered all my questions, I was off the phone in minutes with advice, pricing, availability, delivery eta, reasonable delivery fee and a promise to call me back in 5 to see if she could get a better price. Called me back in five minutes with a better price through a different supplier and faster delivery. Had a quote in my inbox five minutes after i got off the phone and it was all too easy.
