I just recently spent 5 weeks living out of The Bush Company’s AX27 Clamshell Rooftop Tent and loved every second of it.

The quality is unreal, and the size of this thing is epic - I was able to store 2 recliner camping chairs as well as all my bedding (3 blankets & 2 pillows) with no problems at all - which saved us heaps of room in the car.

I had absolutely no problems with the elements, zero condensation or dust got into the tent.

Our tent has two sets of electrical sockets with twin USBs and CIG plugs - we were able to run a tablet in our tent to watch movies at night time and charge all our devices which was epic.

It is really easy to set up and pack away, I am a really petite person and was able to manage the tent on my own!

We also have the 270 XT MAX AWNING - this awning is free standing and is really simple to set up and pack away. It held up in pretty hectic winds and was great for entertaining at the beach as it has a massive shade coverage!

Excellent customer service, required 20 more M8 rectangular channel washers - that the Bush Company have manufactured - for after market tie down points on an AX27 - they popped them in the post same day - only had excellent experiences for initial sales and after sales advice and service! Thankyou!

Hands down the best rooftop tent on the market top quality you definitely pay for what you get. I purchased the Alpha AX27 I couldn’t wait till I got mine after having other rooftop tents were it took at least 20 + min to set up this one in under 2 mins so stoked. Less set up and pack up time. Mattress is really comfy to other rooftops I have had to put a mattress topper on top haven’t had to with this one.
The guys were so helpful awsome customer service and very polite staff.

What an amazing customer focused company. Not only do I LOVE the 270 XT Max awning. I tore the bag (through my own stupidity) and I needed to order a replacement - which i did and which arrived promptly. I ordered the wrong bag however and so I rang and spoke with Ryan at the Bush Company who promptly sent out the correct bag as well as a return label to get the old one back. No questions, no pre-payment no issues. just got me fixed up and happy with no fuss.

Some people complain that Bush Company stuff is a little more expensive than some of their competitor's products however you get what you pay for in terms of quality of product as well as quality of support when you buy from these guys.

Bought a 270xt more than 12 months ago and have gone on countless trips from Victoria to Queensland. The awning has been through countless galeforce winds and it holds up to everything. The only thing that let it down was the stitching on the zip on the bag. When advised they were a little slow to reply but got back to me, apologised about the delay and sent a replacement straight away. They get a big thumbs up from me. Everyone gets busy sometimes so can't hold them up for the delay. Will be recommending this company to others!

Love my rtt and awning Could not recommend these guys enough great quality gear and awesome customer service. Shoutout to the lads that fitted my awning. Great attention to detail and passionate of their work.

Amazing bunch of blokes to deal with. Had a major mishap with my awning before heading off on a months trip (my fault). Was driving up to Noosa, they fitted me in at the last minute (cost me a 30 pack of Great Northers) well after they were closed to the public and just before Christmas to fit a new awning. Can’t thank them enough. Made me feel part of the family. Ohh and by the way their awnings are second to none. Hope you enjoyed the beers lads.

I purchased a Snomaster fridge over 5yrs ago from them (which I've been very happy with), which had a small LED light recently fail.

On emailing them, I promptly got a phone call response from an actual human! And they offered to send me out 2 of the lights (1 to fix, another for me to have as a spare), and just asking me to cover the small postage fee when it is well outside of it's warranty.

I've encountered many retailers of camping and 4x4 equipment not responding at all to issues with products they sell, so to have one that not only responds promptly, but exceeds my expectations when they do so indicates I'd be more than happy to spend my money with them in the future.

Great service and excellent product. The canopy is built like a bomb shelter but is also stylish and functional. Love it and service was exceptional, was not expecting a courtesy car, much appreciated.

Best tent and awning. We travelled around Australia for 1 year. Hands down beat all thw other rooftop tents we saw. We lent the sissy pole to a friend who had a different branded tent which kept falling on him. Dean and the team have unreal customer service and I highly recommend there products.

Awesome sevice..have absolutely no negative comments..they even gave me a courtesy car,battery failed and they were there quicker than racq..all the guys there are legends..thankyou..very happy with purchase..ps..just need the bracket for fan in tent and is there bolts to mount light's off side of tent?

Had the bush company put an extreme canopy on and platform. Absolutely love the canopy and the team installed it for me at their site.

I had the AX27 fitted last week with the 270 XT max on my cruiser last week. I am so happy with these guys!!
They go above above and beyond, they really do care about their product and the vehicle they're working on.
I used the new set up the last 3 nights at tweed heads for a shake down trip before leaving this Saturday for a month in the Kimberley, the difference this will make will be enormous.

We love our Alpha roof top tent and used it on Fraser Island for the first time three weeks ago. So comfortable, convenient and practical and I can’t recommend it highly enough. With out a doubt the best camping gear you can get & even better customer service. We’ve had our roof top tent & 270° awning for just over 10 months & have used it most weekends. Unfortunately due to some rough roads & our canopy shifting - our tent came loose on the roof (no fault of the bush company) the boys at the the bush company fixed it up for us on the house, gave us some merch & pointed us in the direction of a trusted fabricator to help with our canopy.

Exceptional service from this family owned business. We couldn’t be happier with our Bush Company Alpha Mark 2. From order to install, we received a premium service from Dean and his team. We had a really tight timeframe from receipt of our new camping trailer (Stoney Creek Nugget RT2) to when we were going on holidays and the Bush Company’s friendly staff worked late into the Friday night before Christmas to make sure everything was perfect. They made custom alterations to ensure a snug fit on our trailer and went above and beyond all expectations. Will write another review when we use the RTT, but based on inspection, the quality of the Alpha Mark 2 appears to be exceptionally high. The 4 hinges look solid, the double canvas feels strong, there are over 10 large internal pockets for storage, plus dual bottle holders and two twin power ports (USB and 12V). The mattress is an 85 mm dual foam and feels really nice. Quality and customer service matters and we couldn’t be happier with our Bush Company Alpha Mark 2. Massive thanks to Dean and the team at Bush Company.

Without doubt the best canopy in the world. I was looking at all the fibreglass canopies for my supercab Ford Ranger but they were only rated to 150kg load on the roof. Useless! Go and watch the Youtube video where they load up 7500kg on one of their canopies. The positive pressure air vents means that no sand or dirt gets sucked into the canopy; works perfectly. The sealing rubbers means no water gets in, the mounting system means no squeaks, creaks or rattles. The accompanying roofrack is ingenius and the 270 degree awning is the envy of everyone on the beach. I bought the window in the passenger side and shelves on the driver side with the specially designed picnic/camping set. Everything is top quality and perfectly designed. And the service, passion and enthusiasm from the whole team is exceptional, even in this current Covid climate where supply, shipping and demand is unprecedented. I wish them all the success in the world as i will be back to buy a rooftop tent when they can make one that will fit a king size bed in it.
