Hatori Karaage Bar

My boyfriend and I have come here several times and it’s now our favourite place to go. The large Sashimi plate is the best we’ve had anywhere! So fresh, big pieces, the octopus is a delicious touch. The sides and condiments are also generous and really make it. The staff and service are both exceptional, special mention to Keng who has been kind, warm, professional and attentive every time we’ve been here. Happy hour Asahi on tap with free wings is the ultimate hangover cure too. Couldn’t recommend this place higher for anyone who appreciates good quality Japanese food!

Lovely Japanese cuisine! Been here multiple times and also delivery via Ubereats or DoorDash. Our go to is their Salmon Aburi, which my partner lovers as the rice is well seasoned. We tried a few different things including their poke bowl, ankake with noodles, karaage, curry udon and Katsu set. Yet to try the skewer and grilled platters. So will def give that a go next time we come.

Wife wanted to have some Japanese, she had previous been to this place. It was late afternoon and we got a table easily.

Seated anywhere we wanted and the service was friendly. Got 2 tables out together and looked though the menu. Wife showed me these platters they do and of course I went with the tori fried chicken platter.

What came out was where I was after, fried chicken, side of chips and some dips. The kids love fried chicken and yes it was good.

Would come back and try some other dishes next time.

I’ve tried salmon aburi before but yesterday I tried a new menu which is Volcano salmon aburi. And it was so yummy 😋 Avocado was perfect and sauces with salmon are amazing.
I’ll visit again.

We had an enjoyable dinner last night. The
service was good and friendly. Kids meal arrived first and quickly but was greasy. The serving sizes were generous. We will invite our friends next time.

Went there because I had craved for skewers for a while. Surely we ordered the skewer platter. Also ordered agedashi tofu which is my daughter’s fav Japanese dish and we literally order it every every where it’s available. The tofu not the best but above average. We didn’t wait for long for the skewer platter. I personally like salmon, chicken and mushroom skewers. Would like to go back for the skewers and try more dishes there.

Excellent quality food using the freshest ingredients to create lovely Japanese cuisine. The venue was packed when we arrived which is always a good sign. Very comfortable area to eat in a relaxed atmosphere and would be even better to kick back a few more beers. This Camphill marketplace offers a wide selection to dine at and this is a high scorer.

Visited for a low-key Birthday dinner on a Monday night but the place was doing a great trade and see why: beautifully presented and tasty udon, kyoza and karaage (chicken and also eggplant versions). Went down well with Black Asahi on a cold night, but with the gas heaters keeping us cosy.

A amazing dining experience, Keng the on floor manager was absolutely extraordinary, not to mention B, incredible customer service backed by quality food.

I had amazing time to have dinner tonight ! Actually I do not usually go to any japanese restaurant, but my coworker recommended hatori karaage bar. So I was thinking to give it a try. To be honest I didn't expect that much, but when I just got here totally change my mind.

Sashimi was really fresh and thick. Some of restaurants serve quite thin pieces, but not here.

Homemade lychee ice tea was really nice as well. Not too sweet but still very tasty.

Absolutely will come here again to try something more next time :)

My favourite Japanese restaurant! This review is a summary of multiple trips.

Whether is takeout or dining in, Hatori Karaage bar delivers. Not only are their mains (and Karaage of course) delicious, but their in-house icetea and lemonades are to die for!

I love the Pork Katsu curry and Buta Karubi! Paired with some Umeshu on the rocks and it's a consistent winner.

Great atmosphere, great food, just do it.

Btw they conveniently seperate curry sauce from ingredients when doing takeaway, so your Katsu doesn't get soggy!!

Absolute gem of a place: great food and wonderful service. The family loves coming here and everything we have tried on the menu has been great - it's especially hard to go past the karaage platter.

It is really great food . Seafood is very fresh . Reasonable price as well.

Great place for Japanese food with amazing service. The staff are always so friendly and the food is consistently good. Excellent service. A favourite lunch spot of mine and especially popular at dinner. My favourites are the wagyu steak and the salmon or tofu poke bowls.

Delicious array of foods with a wide range of cold and hot sakes to go with it. Welcoming and professional staff in a spacious atmosphere transitioned well for covid spacing requirements. Recommend ordering the chicken platter!

I feel like chicken tonight! Checked out this new Japanese venue in Whites Hill Village based on a recommendation. Definitely not disappointed! Karaage style chicken is their speciality so I decided to dive into the share platter and see what the fuss was about. So delicious and tender with a variety of flavours that complement each other. If you like Korean fried chicken you'll definitely like this - do yourself a favour and check it out.
