Mark built three pieces for us to custom designs including the an Arts and Crafts bed to a variation of a Voysey design a desk and a standard lamp. The attention to detail, communication during manufacture, the depth of knowledge about construction, timbers and finishing, and the quality of the end product, were all outstanding. We highly recommend Lacewood furniture.

We’ve taken delivery of the ‘tallboy’ chest of draws. From the moment that we visited Lacewood at Coopers Plains, viewed the quality of the display furniture and experienced the relaxed atmosphere, we suspected that we were in the right place to obtain exactly what we wanted.

We had looked around quite a lot for a chest of draws, but we couldn't find the quality and what we were looking for in the design.

When we described our idea, there was something that suited in the catalogue.

Mark, your work is of a very high standard - craftsmanship doesn’t really describe it adequately. Thank-you for the precision, care and beauty of the tallboy. An instant heirloom and we agree ‘particularly nice’ Silky Oak chest of draws. It also has plenty of room in the draws – useful.

Also, the carriers were very careful and efficient, including the driver.

It was a pleasure dealing with an artisan who knows his craft and takes so much pride in his work. We now have a dining table that will be passed down the generations.

Have just had my Art Nouveau Tulip silky oak wood bed delivered and it is absolutely beautiful. The craftmanship is stunning and it makes me happy in my heart to have such a beautiful piece of furniture. The bed is easy to assemble and very strong (I was worried it might be rickety - not at all - it is very sturdy - so well designed). It truly is just beautiful. Mark was lovely too - easy to speak to to discuss styles and availability, and kept me up to date with the progress of the bed's construction and delivery. I adore the bed, am so glad I found his website and would recommend him without hesitation.
PS: I had it delivered to Sydney by Mullumbimby removalists and they were fab too - turned up on time to the minute!

I can't recommend Lacewood Furniture enough. Mark made a exceptionally beautiful bed from natural rosewood for me. His integrity is excellent, part of my bed was damaged by the carrier and he sorted out damage and I had a beautiful bed again within the week. Mark made a bedroom suite for me 25 years ago and another 10 years ago. Both are as functional and beautiful as the day he delivered them. True works of art. His furniture is an investment..tomorrow's antiques.

We had two stylish custom mid-century style chests made by Mark. Both are superbly finished and exactly what we needed. Mark's professionalism, skills and attention to detail are impeccable. He sent regular updates, sketches and photos as the project progressed. The furniture was delivered to us in Sydney without any problems. The soft-close drawers are fantastic.

We bought four pieces of Lacewood bedroom furniture about 20 years ago and they look as good today as when we bought them. That has to be attributed to the fact that they were created by someone (namely Mark Mills) who valued quality over quantity. One only has to look at the detail of the construction to understand why the pieces have stood up so well. Mark also provided great personal service, coming to our home to change the dresser hardware to match the existing bedside tables. We will be leaving the furniture to one of our grandchildren and we are sure that they will be appreciated for at least a couple more generations.

Mark Mills is a master craftsman. He made a silky oak wardrobe and a chest of drawers for us 10 years ago, and just recently a matching king size bed frame - the Art Noveau - Tulip (with hidden foot). It is simply stunning with exquisite hand carved patterns. The quality of his work is the best I have ever seen. Highly recommended.

Our experience with Lacewood Furniture was extremely positive. Mark was willing to make some minor modifications to his designs to suit our needs. The furniture (a bed, two bedside tables and cheval mirror) arrived when he said it would a few months later. Every piece is highly attractive, perfectly joined and has a gorgeous finish.

Mark is the real deal. I ordered a chest of drawers and two bedsides -- the worksmanship is meticulous and more importantly Mark has exercised a fine artist's-like judgement regarding wood grain, shape, etc. to turn the finished products into items of beauty. I suspect even in an age where artisan craft was the norm that these would be rare pieces of work.

Mark from Lacewood Furniture provided a professional service where he not only created a beautiful dining table but also adapted his design to suit the timber we supplied. Mark was very accommodating to our thoughts and delivered a piece of furniture that will be in the family for many years.
