From the first call to the receptionist till my last review I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Kahlers staff. Dr Kahler was more than helpful with my spinal injury, giving me the facts and options for my best treatment and got me into surgery very quickly. For the following several days I was in recovery, he came to my hospital bed each and every day, including the weekend to check in on me.
Very happy with the experience with Briz Brain & Spine

Dr Tomlinson has performed my last three craniotomies to remove malignant brain tumours and I would never trust anyone else. He has a professional yet direct approach that puts me at ease. Vivien, his neuro nurse is nothing short of amazing and I appreciate everything they have done for me over the last 4 years. I had moments I where I didn’t believe in myself – and they both believed in me. Thankyou Dr Tomlinson & team for saving my life three times over.

I had my surgery last year. Had a torn thumb ligament due to a sparring match. I have to commend Dr. Stevan Yang for his knowledge and professionalism. My thumbs is now better and able to do again normal house chores.

I was diagnosed with Brain tumour 10yrs ago and have needed 3monthly monitoring since them. Thanks to a drug trial Dr Walker suggested for me I have outlived all odds thrown at me. Dr Walker and the Nurse Practitioner, Viv, have provided me with 5 star treatment and support throughout my whole journey.

Dr Richard Kahler is a rude, obnoxious piece of work who shouldn't be practising medicine. He asked me what medications I was taking and what they were for, after disclosing that I had ASD (Autism) later in our conversation when I was noticeably upset that I had been referred to the clinic and didn't require surgery and this was a $350 out of pocket cost for myself the doctor quickly made a comment "Well don't have a tissy, I was going to bulk bill the appointment anyway". The fact that I disclosed my medical condition to that doctor in confidence and then they tried to use it against me in a derogatory way is just disgusting and I hope anyone who reads this and struggles with a medical condition or medical illness, choose to go somewhere else because that experience was beyond a joke and quite simply disgusting for a medical practitioner to act that way. Get your act together.

They are happy to take money for the consultation, however the doctor can’t be bothered doing a follow up with you even after your bone scan that shows the issues.

Definitely avoid this clinic, they’re communication is very very poor

We got such poor service at this medical practice. Starting with our first encounter with the medical receptionist right up to still waiting for a treatment plan from the surgeon (Dr Hamish Alexander) 4 months later.

My husband aggravated an old injury on his spine back in July last year. His appointment with Dr Alexander was in November. We both work and took time off work to attend the appointment together. We arrived only to be told that the doctor was running an hour late. Now I am a medical secretary and at our practice we would have contacted the patients to let them know that the doctor was running an hour late. My time is as valuable as anyone else’s and for a medical practice to expect me to sit in the waiting room to wait for an hour or more is unacceptable. A phone call to let us know and give us the option to reschedule would take a couple of seconds.

We rescheduled the appointment and unfortunately I couldn’t attend this time with my husband as I couldn’t take the time off work. My husband explained that he had an old injury and that he had aggravated it at work, he had tried various pain measures included steroid injections and was still in pain. My husband had already had a CT scan and the surgeon referred him for an MRI.

He had the MRI and returned for a follow up appointment, I was able to attend this appointment. During the appointment (in December) the Dr tried to open the the attachment from the radiologists to view the CT scan (which he hadn’t done up till now), he was unable to do so. He then referred my husband to a neurologist to assess exactly where along the spine the injury was.

My husband then returned to the surgeon in January with bills now amounting to over $2000 to be told that the injury was exactly where my husband said it was in the first appointment. It’s an old injury for crying in a bucket we know where it is!!!!!

At this point Dr Alexander had still not accessed the CT scan. This appointment was on a Wednesday and the doctor said he would put in an IT request so that he could view the CT Scan and would let my husband know by Friday If he should have another steroid injection.

It’s now been three weeks, numerous phone calls to follow up and we have still heard nothing and my husband is still in pain.

This is unacceptable!!! In any other industry we would be able to get our money back for services not received.

An absolutely awful experience. A large amount was paid to keep a nurse practitioner overseeing Mum’s treatment program with her brain tumour and in return, there was extremely poor communication, family conferences set up with treating professionals who turned up 6 hours after the scheduled appointment time during a work day when my Father and I had taken time off work for the requested ‘family conference’ with no communication of the delay, limited referrals to at home care/appropriate mobility devices/care plans moving forward and an utterly uncaring response once treatment was deemed off the cards and a vague referral to Palliative Care once it became necessary. A nightmare of an experience.
