Presented on time for my 12pm appointment for ultrasound and x-ray, was walking out at 12:30. Very friendly reception and imaging staff. Was prepared for the worst after reading the reviews here, but was pleasantly surprised.

I needed an urgent Ultrasound and everywhere it was booked out on that weekend. Team leader Yulan was kind enough to check on me by calling back early morning on Sunday and organised the scan. Mark, the Ultrasound technician was very accomodating and fit my urgent procedure that morning. I’m so grateful to you both at how you handled my request with care and professionalism. We need more people like you in healthcare. Thank you 🙏

After a bad experience with one receptionist, the managing staff became so accommodating and helpful they went the extra mile and then some. I had to adjust my rating to reflect the majority of staff. Thankyou so much I'm grateful and will definately come back and recommend Macquarie medical imagining.

Two stars because of bulk billing and booking with AI Olivia is easy. The sonographers here (I met two young women) are not skilled and if you have concerns, definitely go somewhere else. The ultrasound reports were not clear and missed several important findings. When I repeated the ultrasound at rnsh, they were able to easily locate the swelling (MMI was not able to even after I told her where the swelling was) and discover several other issues that MMI was not able to discern. If you are healthy and just want a general checkup to confirm that you are healthy, MMI is free/ cheap. Otherwise go somewhere else as they are not skilled to detect small issues and will only give you a fuzzy report that would require repeated ultrasound done elsewhere.

I HONESTLY think that they should review their policy on "social distancing"
We came for my wife's scan to confirm if she is pregnant as she felt there was a problem which obviously led her to become uneasy, scared and anxious about the whole thing. She needed me to be with her. I took the day off work. We got there and we were told that i cannot go in as it is a small space and we are practicing "social distancing". You could imagine my reaction. I had to restrain myself not to go full gangster on the receptionist but hey...she just works there 🤷🏾‍♂ (she was super nice also) anyways, please use common sense and try empathy and work accordingly.

No booking is required for X-ray but you need to wait for a long long time. One reception (not all) is very rude and impatient. She didn’t notify me the waiting time when I checked in and told me I can do X-ray first as I arrived an hour early for the ultrasound appointment. The booking confirmation email had a different time with their system which make me very confusing. At the end the ultrasound is even done earlier than the X-ray. It’s such a wasting time over there especially if you have kids with you.

Terrible experience getting an ultrasound this week. Firstly the ultrasound room was not cleaned after the previous patient. There was still a used patient gown scrunched up on the bench, and after the trainee removed the gown they did not even change the sanitary covering of the bench before asking me to sit down.

After the scan was complete, the trainee went to bring their senior into the room to check the results. The senior then reported a different heartbeat bpm than the trainee, which was confusing and did not give me confidence. Please provide more support and training to the trainees so they can be confident and accurate in what they tell patients.

Lastly, when I asked for a printout of the ultrasound images (which we were able to receive at a previous appointment at the same clinic) it was met with a harsh "Why do you need that? Can't you print it yourself?" from the trainee. It was insensitive, dismissive and unprofessional especially for a pregnancy scan. Please show more sensitivity and care with your patients.

The clinical staff are fabulous, but this business is seriously let down by their lack of customer service. You literally cannot get through to make an appointment.

I've been going here for several years and it used to be bad, but now it's impossible to get through. Today I left 3 messages to phone me back. The automated system is a joke. It couldn't make my appointment so it put me in the queue then when I finally got through they hung up on me. I tried for like the 10th time then thought - why am I bothering? You clearly don't want my business. Rang another local place, they answered instantly and appointment made in a couple of minutes. It shouldn't be this hard!!!

Subject: Disappointing Experience with CT Scan at MMI Macquarie Shopping Centre

This morning I had a CT scan at MMI Macquarie Shopping Centre, and I am compelled to share my experience, which unfortunately was not satisfactory.

Firstly, the referral explicitly requested a CT scan with contrast, and despite my inquiries, the operator seemed reluctant to comply with this directive even though I made them notice that the referral was asking for contrast. To this they replied was not possible because I had it already 6months ago, which is totally wrong as Professor knows what he requested. This lack of cooperation raised concerns about the thoroughness of the procedure.

Furthermore, the center's opening time was stated as 8 am, but the doors did not open until 8:15 am, causing an unnecessary delay. I want to specify that I didn’t go to work and I was there on time!

On top of this, I received a call while on my way home, asking if I wanted to return for another scan. Such a last-minute request was inconvenient and left me questioning the efficiency of the initial procedure.

Seeking to address these issues, I requested to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, my request was denied, adding to the overall frustration of the experience.

I hope this feedback prompts a review of procedures and communication at MMI Macquarie Shopping Centre to ensure a more positive and patient-centric experience in the future.

I needed an urgent ultrasound for what was suspected appendicitis. Squeezed me in for "emergency" & waited 1.5 hrs to seen. Ultrasound doctor was rude & condescending about me being a walk in. Was extremely rough on my abdomen -I was crying & shouting in pain & he kept telling me to relax as he pushes harder on 2-3 year old children!! It was a traumatic experience. I went to hospital Emergency & the ultrasound was pretty useless in determining the issue, they had to do another one.

Terrible...not once but twice. First full spine x-ray was done in sections, physio could not use them as x-ray was cut at neck, mid thoracic, then cut at above hip. Results were not sent to physio, an ordeal between myself & physio setting up portals, MMI will not email results, fax only??!! They don't check referral if no fax number, where to send it?? Ringing and having images only sent, no report. 2nd check was an ultrasound, told 1-2 days for results...see gp and we see images only no report. RANG while at gp to be told report will take a further 3 days, again portal issues, my gp didn't have one and again only fax.. very outdated slow service. Unprofessional radiologists, no clear ultrasounds showing measurements and other info gp needed....omg never again

The worst Imaging company ever, time and time again (as its the closest to home) they are rude, slow and want 48-60 hours to return x-ray results on a toe, that could be under blood loss and or nerve issue thus requiring urgent resetting. while in another patient was having a go at them about similar. Don't Waste Your Time, drive 10mins up the road to the next. we will from now on, its just wasted time, and radiation as now need to go to another site to get it repeated.

Unprofessional staff. They were quite busy and I waited around 45min past my scheduled appointment, which I can look past. But when I went in for my scan, they rushed through the procedure, didn't ask any questions, and so obviously missed doing a procedure listed on the referral letter. Had to come back again four days later. That's four days of extra, unnecessary pain to live with because of incompetence
