If I could give the food more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

The Mushroom breakfast option was bloody delicious and surprisingly filling even though there's only a single piece of toast on the plate.

The coffee was great and there was the option to choose your own coffee bean variety.

Service was super friendly and attentive.

Will definitely be back soon 🤗

Honestly one of my best brunch recommendations in Canberra. Great food and some of the best customer service I have experienced in Australia.

Food and coffee was on point! The latte was just perfectly steamed and frothed👌
Staff members were so kind as well.

Just note that if you sit outside, you may be attacked by a swarm of bees and flies tryna get ur food.

Typica is located along a beautiful pedestrian street in Manuka, Canberra. There are plenty of other cafes around the same street which makes a lovely and buzzy atmosphere.
After browsing the menus at other cafes, we decided to try out TYPICA. The outdoor tables on a sunny day are lovely so we were more than happy to wait even though inside tables were available.
The staff we interacted with were friendly and bubbly.
To place an order you can either go up to order and pay at the counter, or you can place an order via QR code on the table. I did find the coffee menu a little confusing to try and understand, there wasnt a simple 'flat white' or 'cappuccino' so it was a bit of a gamble what I ordered.
The biggest callout was the benedict breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. The beef brisket was delicious but what made this dish special was the panko coated milk bread. The bread was amazingly soft and fluffy on the inside, but the outside was golden and crunchy thanks to the panko crumb on the outside! I have never seen this before and would HIGHLY recommend it out.

Very nice cafe in Manuka. Fritters and eggs, salad breakfast very nice and filling. The fritters were not flat but crumbed balls.

Not many places that can make proper hollandaise sauce and Typica managed to do it. Proper hollandaise. The buttered mushroom is a little wet, but somehow it made the bread yummier? Idk. Ahh and the Ona coffee is fabulous!

Great food menu- it was hard to choose as everything was appealing. We were a group of 6 and everyone was really happy with their choices.
The fritters with bacon were sensational, as was the mushrooms on toast.
Loved this hidden location in Manuka - a grassy square with several cafes, all buzzing, great atmosphere.

We were walk-ins on Easter Saturday but were found a table immediately. The coffees were all excellent, varying from a flat white to chai to mocha to almond latte.
To eat we ordered the fritters, the mixed mushrooms and the ocean bagel. Everyone was delighted with their choice and all plates were clean at the end of the meal.

Try the place as it keeps on showing in instagram.. went there on weekend two months ago and we didnt make a reservation, but the lady was so nice, we waited less than 5 mins (it was busy)..
But once we sat down, the other waitress didn't bother to give us the menu..
I dont wanna ask as I wanna know for how long i have to wait.. surprisingly, the next table came like 5mins after us and she gave them the menu right away 😅. I lost my words and feel annoyed so i just grab the menu myself.
As for the food the chilli scrambled was soso.. but the other one is good..
I'm not an expert with a coffee menu and need my friend to help me through the selection.. will be back for the other option 👍

Best breakfast I’ve had in a while. We had the Chilli Scrambled Egg, Eggs Benedict and Ocean Bagel. All different from the norm. Very good price too. Aspen coffee was delicious if you like chocolate,nut flavors

One of our favourite breakfast spots in Canberra. Have also taken our family and friends there. Everybody loved it!

Their food is always yummy with a twist! Matcha French Toast, Hotcakes, Muesli Bowl with Berries, Three Mushroom on Toast are our favourites. Their coffee is awesome! Love the Ona Coffee brand.

Excellent service by friendly staff. Love the outside sitting arrangement more for its idyllic ambiance. The adjacent statue-like old trees are delight to the eyes!

Coffees and chocolate were great, Staffs were nice and friendly, very helpful.
All ingredients were fresh, and the quality was good.
We just love the atmosphere, wide open doors, fresh air, delightful decorations....

Coffee was soul good, still that perfect ONA taste in my memory, flavours from the Aspen bean were strong and delightful, milk was soul silky either. That '8h' slow cooked beef brisket went perfectly with the corn salsa and chilli aioli to make those nachos fully loaded. And finally came to the Japanese chicken sando, meat was juicy and the way they made it you will feel quite lite to digest throughout the day without the heaviness brought by the sauce and this combination. Nutshell, ten out of ten plz!

Would give 6/5 stars if I could. We went there on my birthday on Easter Sunday morning and all of the staff members were super helpful and friendly. Even got recommendations for our roadtrip to Jindabyne, we did visit the Schnaps distillery there ;)

Eggs Benedict were very tasty and delicious. Raspberry Candy was well prepared, one of the best coffees I had in Australia. Great experience overall!

I absolutely love this cafe. Exceptional coffee (ONA), amazing food, and friendly staff.
We ordered the Mother's Day special - velvet pancakes and smashed avo x2. The meals came out super quickly and were beautifully presented whilst also being super delicious. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I have been here a few times now, and it NEVER disappoints. It's definitely worth the drive across town for us to get there!

Popped in yesterday morning bright and early for a coffee, it was really good!

Seating and general atmosphere is all lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly. Seating nice (just note some tables are not on flat ground).

Would certainly considering making this one my local if I worked in Manuka!!!

I just go here for the coffee when I'm.in Canberra. Very good coffee. When I have eaten here the food has been very good as well.

The coffee was smooth and delicious. The milkshakes were amazing and the meals sensational. Everything was top notch!

Absolutely loved the place. Super delicious food and lovely service. I will definitely come back.
