Newcastle S-Mart 뉴카슬 에스마트

This is easily the best Asian Grocery store that Newcastle has on offer. I have been a regular customer since 2020 and have really appreciated the sense of community that this business provides. I stock up on my fresh produce as well as fresh rice noodle here. Not a lot of fresh meat options. Great parking since their move to Macquarie Road.

The best Asian / Korean grocery store I've ever been too. Awesome selection and the staff are so friendly. We shop there regularly. Was there with my youngest today and she desperately needed the bathroom and the lovely lady took her to the staff toilets. Disaster avoided. Now that's service.

Plenty of variety in dry goods fresh and frozen, prices are reasonable. Great off street parking, happy staff and good service. Cardiff shopping center also close by. Newcastle S-Mart Asian groceries is well situated and very well stocked with fresh and dry asian foods and condiments. 5⭐

Staff are friendly, the store is always clean and nicely presented, great variety on offer with fair prices, and plenty of parking available. Plus, it's the only place in Newcastle that sells the BEST daifuku mochi!!

This is a great place to find all kind of asian ingredients. I managed to get some frozen fish eggs in here.

It's a great place to shop for Asian food I have to drive for 1.5hrs the wife loves it and we be going once a month. The staff are very helpful and happy. Price is great although I spend $250 every time we go but it's worth it.

I started going to S-Mart about 6 months ago. I was shy as I was new to Asian cooking. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
I love how fresh their fruits and vegetables are and I always manage to find what I need.
The store is always clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. Unlike some shops it isn’t too squishy or cluttered. I always feel relaxed.
I have seen some reviews complaining about range or pricing compared to Sydney. I don’t think it is a fair comparison as most food items are cheaper in Sydney vs here in Newcastle whether it is Asian or not. I have compared prices at S-Mart with other Asian supermarkets in our local area and find them to be very competitive. Their range is slightly smaller than some places but I have never failed to find what I need.
I will continue to shop here weekly and recommend it to others.

Plenty car park and easy access. This store stocks all Korean grocery needs I have. Plus many other aisan products.

Big arrange of Korean, Japanese, Chinese products as well as Thai, philippino’s. The owner and staffs are very kind and helpful. The best thing about Smart is vegetable and fruits. It is the most fresh vegetable in Newcastle. Easy to access from Cardiff Woolworths/Aldi parking area. They used to have a cooking class before lock down, it was amazing as well.
