Sydney Party Operation

I was referred by a friend and with such short noticed, Abi was able to assist with chairs for our engagement party, from the moment I reached out to payment and delivery the process was seamless and i couldn't stress enough finding suppliers that just gets things done!
Shout out to Sam the driver he was fantastic!!!

I hired 12 panels (i.e. 3x4m) of LED dance floor for my wife's 50th 70s Disco birthday party at our home on Saturday night. Abi kept me well informed through the process and the flooring was delivered and installed late Friday afternoon as promised.

However, on Saturday afternoon, when turning on the floor, it transpired that one of the panels was faulty. I called Sam who immediately assisted over the phone to troubleshoot, after which we concluded the panel was faulty. Sam immediately assured me he would get it sorted out before our party and left his family to drive across Sydney to replace the panel.

This is what service is all about.... Going out of your way to always keep the customer happy. Needless to say the LED flooring was a hit. Everyone asked me who I hired it them from. I would not hesitate to recommend Sam and Abi at Sydney Party Operation for any party hire equipment.

We ordered chairs for my sisters reception, They didnt show up to the booking on the day. The stress that put sister in when her planner called her advising that sydney party operation didnt turn up and bot contactible at all at 4pm. My sister asked to be compensated $4000. Our stylist was trying to contact them but no luck and sent us screen shots of replies. Luckily the stylist refunded $3000 so they can at least have something. Dont use them as i have heard this has happened a few times from the venue we were at. Luckily the venue quickly out their chairs out and white covers so we had chairs at least. Really bad communicators and own up to your mistake. We are not asking for much compensation it could be worse for you!

The chairs were delivered filthy dirty and when I complained they said that they were scratched and there is nothing to complain about so I had to scrub the chairs myself before the party so we can sit on them. There was mud all over the legs of the chairs and the tables had dead flowers stuck to them. They did not wish to discuss or resolve any issues with the items being hired. When it came time to pick up, the company would not specify a time when they would pick up the gear. They made us wait for 2 days then eventually turned up at 9pm unannounced.

Very bad service, very bad customer relations. Would definately NOT recommend.

First off let me say that the Chairs were of good quality and there was nothing wrong with the product that we ordered. However it was the logistics and delivery on the night which was concerning and caused a lot of stress for my bride and myself.

The drivers arrived at 5:30pm to the restaurant and said that they were not going to carry the chairs to the restaurant as they said the walk was too far. They said that they needed to speak to security and yourself (or someone from your office) as they could not carry chairs beyond a certain height through the mall, which is understandable, however about 20 minutes was wasted on trying to get anything started in the way of delivery.

The drivers eventually said they could do the job but they needed us to help them carry the chairs and also blamed us for not requesting and earlier delivery time. I was taken back and replied that we did request an earlier time but was told that there was none available. The drivers said that there are 6 other drivers who were available and if they knew it was like this, they would not have accepted the job.

Without any choice and in desperation I had about 8 family members including myself come to take the chairs from the truck to the restaurant. Yes, I personally, carried chairs on my own wedding night due to this logistical oversight. Meanwhile, my bride was in the back crying and my guests were outside the restaurant watching a frenzy of men from my family and myself, wheeling in chairs into the restaurant.

The whole operation was set up at about 7:15pm (we had planned for a 6:30pm start) and it was thanks to my own family and restaurant team members who helped carry them from the lift to the restaurant, lay them out and stick the padding on. Needless to say, we were behind schedule with guests lining up outside the restaurant.

When I emailed them about some form of compensation I received a reply that they told me to go seek compensation from the restaurant as the directions were not clear and that they would have not done the job had they known or charged us double the delivery cost!!!

Things go wrong all the time but I cannot recommend a business in this day and age that does not take some form of accountability when things like this happen.
