Lovely modern, spacious room, well-appointed. Very comfy bed, plenty of space. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! Lots of choice of hot food, cereal, juice, coffee etc. Delicious! Very convenient location, close to lake, shops and cafes. The restaurant is excellent too, with beautiful lake views.

On our recent trip to Mt Kosciuszko hike, we stayed at Banjo Paterson Inn for 2 nights. Found them very responsive and helpful on our late arrival, extending our stay and other issues. The rooms were comfy and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of yogurt, cereals, fruits, breads, hot food (bacon, eggs, sausages, mushroom, tomatoes) etc. On-site brewery and restaurants with live music ensured that we did not need to go anywhere for drinks and food on our return from hike. Memorable stay experience !

Tina at the front desk was the best! I arrived on Christmas eve for two nights and nothing was a problem. I was on a motorbike and she got my room ready early. I slept for 11hrs in their AMAZING beds and even got a late check out because of the stormy weather.
I'll be back FOR SURE!
And the included buffet breakfast? WOW!

We looked for a “place to sleep” and this hit the mark. Checked in late via the bar (reception closes at 4pm) with no issues. Modern and clean room. Bathroom small but adequate. Staff obliging with a late checkout when our 8wo decided he wanted to feed as we were packing up

In a town where the Snowy River runs,
Lies a gem where the culinary journey begins.
‘Tis the Banjo Patterson Inn, they say,
Where the Overflow Pizza Bar holds sway.

With dough tossed high, and the oven's roar,
Like bushmen riding from days of yore.
Each pizza a masterpiece, crafted with care,
A symphony of flavors, none to compare.

Tomatoes as red as the setting sun,
Cheese that stretches, oh what fun!
Meats and veggies, fresh and fine,
On crusts so perfect, divine by design.

The air, it whispers tales of old,
Of stockmen brave and bushrangers bold.
And as you bite, you can't help but feel,
A part of the story, so surreal, so real.

At Banjo’s inn, by Jindabyne’s face,
You find more than food, but a warm embrace.
So here’s to the pizza, best in the land,
A tribute to Paterson’s timeless band.

In the Overflow’s light, stories unfold,
Of a land so rugged, so fierce, so bold.
Just like the man from the Snowy River’s ride,
This pizza journey, is one of pride.

Oh and the only pizza my kids will eat in Jindabyne.❤‍🔥

Review is based on the hotel side of the operation. Staff were super friendly, rooms are fantastic, clean and extremely comfortable beds. The pub operations were disappointing. Less than friendly staff. Just a bunch of 21 year olds doing the bare minimum to afford a working holiday. But the beer was cold, which is that matters at the end of the day.

I was very impressed but the entire staff, with no booking on a busy night in peek season, they fitted us in for a meal, not only were the staff fabulous, so was the food and drinks, they even drove us back to our hotel in their bus, the atmosphere was fun and family friendly with 3 levels separating the bar and restaurant, it was an excellent night. It was warm and a grate place for family or groups to wind down after a long day skiing. I have stayed a night in the past too, and again they were grate. A big thank you to all the staff.

The ratings don't do it justice at all! We had an incredible stay. The rooms have been fully renovated and are all very modern. Even our room which was above the restaurant was very well insulated and quiet. The staff were all incredibly friendly, from reception to the lovely breakfast lady. Breakfast was included which was a huge bonus for us and the selection was great. We left a water bottle behind and they even offered to post it to us! I was hesitant originally because of the low ratings but we will definitely be back. They are clearly putting in a lot of effort now! Highly recommend.

I got kicked out for asking how much time I have before the doors are shut. After 2 beers the manager decided I’m too inebriated to re enter. For sure childhood trauma has made her angry and tyrannical because she was angry that I tried to reason with her. By far the least reasonable “profession” I’ve ever encountered. I genuinely hope everyone can find real happiness but don’t believe she’s anywhere close. Actually made me feel bad for her. Pitiful honestly

Our stay was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodated our request for a late checkout. The room was freshly renovated and included everything expected and more. Quality linen and toiletries as well being very stylish and large. The buffet breakfast was AWESOME and just what we needed after a big morning hike. Highly recommended.

Loved the room - it was really nicely fitted out, both in how it looked and the clever way the space was laid out. We were really happy with the price we paid for such a great room. The included buffet breakfast was also great - really good selection of hot and cold food that set us up perfectly for the day. The location in central Jindabyne was perfect to access the lake and shops and the in-house dining options were good (both price and range wise) - though if you want to dine in Clancy’s Brasserie, I suggest booking, as both venues seemed really popular and filled up fast. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great meal and lovely people… except…. Security (Owen) when checking my ID to come in demanded I raise my ID and hold it in front of his face saying, “I will not turn my head to look at you.” Single most disgusting moment of customer service ever. Yuck.

Everything else at the Banj, 5/5

Security treating us like trash for trying to come in for dinner 0/5

Down for the weekend to keep tradition going for the now ended Snowy Ride, looking for a feed and drink, and was recommended Banjo Paterson Inn.

Great to stay here and it was just pleasant and delight to our whole experience of visit!
Didn’t visit in snow season but there’re still loads of visitors and the restaurant/bar opened til late. Having said that, it’s not very noisy at night and they turned the music down after like 10:30 or sort on weekend nights so I assume it’s quite alright.
They served hot and delicious breakfast along with coffee and other beverages like milk and juice. Staff team was hurrying tidying up tables and stuffing up food. I feel really thankful to have this, especially in the area in the morning. In fact as a three star hotel in Australia, I reckon this was one of the most luxury ones then a lot of other so-called luxury hoses or villas.
Overall great! Worth have a look hotel in the area!

Although a little pricey like everything in Jindabyne great place for some drinks and a feed. Make sure you book during peak season. The Overflow has some great food also if you don’t get a table at Clancy’s

Reception were awesome and professional to book with.
Room is refurbished, clean, roomy and perfect.
The Overflow - Food - Not so great. We bought 2 caesar salad. The dressing had no flavour at all, very disappointed.
Pizzas looked great and came out fast. Everything was clean and tidy.
