Could not fault them. Best food I’ve eaten in such a long time. The waitresses were very knowledgeable and went into great detail to describe the flavours of the dishes to help us make our choice. They offered two alcohol free cocktails which were beautifully presented and delicious. We were so happy that they were open on the Sunday night when many other restaurants were closed. We can’t wait to go there again next time we are in town. Thank you to the whole team, you should all be proud of your efforts and passion in serving fine food and providing outstanding service.

Decided to give Cocinas a try while visiting for the weekend.
Service was quick and very friendly and provided great advice on what to order. Sensational margaritas followed by some amazing food.

Love love loved our night here!! I am hoping they put that passion fruit margarita with the chilli salt rim on the main menu. It was soooooo good!!
We had tacos and they were great but expected maybe three for the price.
Will be there again!!!

Absolutely everything was fricking delicious!

We ordered basically all the vegetarian dishes on the menu as well as the Brussels Sprouts special and we loved every single one of them.

It was a little disappointing that there wasn't a vegetarian burrito option (as far as I am aware) however the fact that there were so many other things to choose from definitely made up for it 😊

We left wanting to come back as soon as possible!

We’ve been coming to Jindy for 30 years and this was by far the best dinner we’ve had!
The hostess and our server tonight provided excellent service and were really welcoming and attentive.
The food was incredible! Honestly the best beef tacos I’ve ever had.
Finally, treat yourself to a couple of margaritas. The coconut marg was EPIC!

When you visit the snow, you generally expect stodgy, tasteless and overpriced fare.

Happily, if you visit Cocina Taqueria, these expectations will be dashed. Fresh and flavourful food from a well put together menu, very good cocktails made by capable bartenders and friendly and efficient service.

I ate there two out of the three nights I stayed in Jindabyne, and would have gone the third, but they don't open on Tuesdays.

Highly recommend. Make sure you book ahead.

The most thorough service during our time in Jindy. Our waitress Anna was so informative and lovely. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Cocktails were excellent.

Lovely staff and smashing food. After a long drive from Sydney, this is exactly what was needed. Tacos are so good we had a second serve of beef. Charred Corn is another standout. Very reasonably priced considering the serving sizes, quality and that we're up in snowy mountains.

Wow! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Australia. Superb food and great service. We had incredible margaritas and mezcal cocktails, delicious tacos and churros for dessert. Cannot wait to go back! Bonus is they open on Monday night.

Great place for some great Mexican food. Great service. Dining area was a little bit on the cold side. But soon fixed that with some chilli. Would highly recommend.

So we came here with some friends a few weeks before we came back for a second visit, both times we were all impressed.

It wasn’t perfect service, yes, a drink or two forgotten, both times, but such is life, not a big deal.

The food was lovely, and we went pretty hard into the menu this second time around.

Always my go to restaurant when I have visitors to the region due to the excellent food and service. My VIP guest from Canberra was so impressed with the quality and presentation of the meals as well as the staff going above and beyond with requests.
The steak is something to rave about !!

The friendly staff were efficient and welcoming. We had the corn, totopos, and the fish and beef tacos, all of which were delicious. They also had dos equis on tap which certainly fitted with the cuisine and accompanied the meal nicely.

Heading to dinner with a 9 strong, mixed bag of ravenous family members, Cocina Taqueria was the perfect choice. We opted for a selection of dishes on the menu including, Jalapeno Poppers, Cauliflower Tostadas, Zucchini Tacos, Fish Tacos and Chorizo Tacos!! All of which satisfied our taste buds and bellies. Family consensus couldn't go past the Jalapeno Poppers for the dish of the evening, crispy, spicy and not oily at all!! The vegetarian options are flavourful and would satiate any food lover and for any Tequila aficionado, the variety of Tequilas and Agave drinks are impressive.

It is not easy to run a restaurant, and even harder to maintain an excellent one. However, the Cocina Grill at Jindabyne is one such superb restaurant. If your experience of Mexican food is limited to takeaway burritos, then I strongly recommend you expand your palate and make a booking at Cocina Grill.

From the starters to the mains, the menu is focused and while you may see only a few choices, these choices are excellently prepared from fresh ingredients. My favourites are the Jalapeno poppers, with ricotta, agave, walnuts, currents and yellow salsa as a starter; and the wagu rump (MB6+) as a main with the "papa frittas" on the side.

Friday evening was relatively quiet, but Saturday was very busy. The people running it were polite and service, for such a busy night, was excellent.

Again, I highly recommend this restaurant, but book beforehand for Saturday. The word is out and this is definitely a place to dine in Jindabyne.

The restaurant earned all five stars (and more) this evening. Exceptional food, great staff and a relaxed, comfortable ambience. We came here expecting Mexican cuisine but apparently the owner pivoted to the more eclectic current menu back in September 2020. We were NOT disappointed with any of our selections. The service was not without fault (a few minor stuff-ups) but every member of staff we encountered came across as genuinely caring, and engaged in their work. This has been one of the highlights of our visit to Jindabyne. I'd rate it as a must-visit if you're in town. Just remember to book in advance as COVID distancing requirements have limited their seating capacity. TIP: See if you can get a seat upstairs where it's a little quieter than the main dining area downstairs.

Delicious Mexican food! We had the Cauliflower Tostadas, Fish and Beef tacos 🌮 as mains, the Papa Frittas and the Good times Paloma cocktail 🍹.

Fish tacos were great! Loved the pairing with the sauce. Beef tacos were a little tougher to chew, but had a great smoked flavour. Papa Frittas were like double deep-fried wedges, couldn't fault it. The cocktail was out of this world! Refreshing and such and interesting take with habanero salt! Try it!

Overall: 8.5/10.
There was a fancy see-through plastic tent outside the restaurant for special bookings.

Everything we tried was tasty, and the staff was quite nice and helpful. We loved the churros and the roasted mushrooms. The fried polenta is a great starter although a bit oily. We also tried the beef cheeks, really well cooked. It's a bit fatty, but there's no rubbing away from that with beef cheeks.
