📝: First time visiting Philip Island for a day trip. Stopped by Sherwoods restaurant for dinner that night before coming back. Such a cute and homey local restaurant with friendly smiling staffs.

❤: Been ages since I got to eat Seafood Platter, definitely a heaven! It came with oysters, mussels, prawns, bay bugs, cocktail shrimp and fresh fruits. Definitely a cute meal that I loved.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant hidden away in Cowes. I ordered the eye fillet with vegetables and house cut potatoes. Firstly, I liked that the steak was 250gm rather than 300gm or more offered in other eateries as I find those higher weight steaks overpower a meal. The steak was cooked to perfection (rare) and was juicy and tender. The vegetables were crisp, fresh and full of flavour, and the house cut potatoes were golden crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall, the meal was perfect. The staff were welcoming and attentive making sure you had everything you wanted. Next time you're in Cowes and your looking for something a little more up market than a cafe or pub, give Sherwoods a go.

Great salmon, seafood marinara, tiramisu and sticky date pudding. Friendly staff made us feel welcomed which made for enjoyable experience on the night. Will definitely be going back. Would also recommend calling ahead and making a reservation a few days ahead as we were on a wait list and lucky to get a booking.

Great service and amazing food. I had what has to be one of the best chicken parmigianas I've ever had and my wife loved her duck. Topped off with a lovely sticky date pudding and wine. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Phillip Island.

Customer service was amazing and the staff was so friendly especially when my 2 year old started throwing a tantrum. They gave him an activity book and a bowl of chips like straight away and they were always asking if we were okay. Food was amazing and not that long a wait. Definitely worth the price. I only wish there would have been more food on the plate!

Excellent service and very hospitable. We love our seafood but this was next level. We got to finish the night off with a beer and singing some karaoke in a really relaxed atmosphere and friendly environment. We'll be going there every time we go to the island without a doubt.

I ate here during a weekend away from the city. Service is great and the food even better. I had the fish and chips, with the fish being perfectly fluffy. I also recommend the Creme Brulee - one of the best I've ever had... didn't have time to take photos as I was too busy eating 😂

What a welcoming and amazing restaurant!! Hubby and I have dined out and he knows how picky I am. Coming from a career of Food & Beverage Manager, I expect food to be worthy of the price. Service to be an experience of warmth. Sherwood has this all and MORE!

We were Blessed to meet the owner Mark and what a wonderful and dedicated man he is. He has taken the time and effort to create 5 star dining experience. Anna the waitress could not have been more lovely and accommodating with every need being met with a big smile. We were so relaxed it felt like home as we dined on the tasty culinary artwork of famous Chef Mahesh. Delicious steaks cooked to perfection. Vegetables seasoned so just right and desserts to curl your toes! Even our after meal coffee was done exactly as I asked and this almost never happens at other restaurants or cafes.

You can taste when someone has put their heart in their cooking. It warms the soul. The total comfort you will experience is from an owner that only desires the best for his customers. High Five Mark and staff! We will be regulars for sure! WOW! Sherwood's is a gift for mind, body and Spirit!

We rang Sherwood’s after another restaraunt on the island cancelled our booking for ten people at the last minute! Tianne couldn’t have been more lovely and helpful, she took us on at the last minute and saved the day! When we arrived everyone was welcoming, they had a large table set for us near the window and looked after us like we were family! Nothing was a problem! The service was faultless, way over and above what we expected from a last minute booking, the food was generous and amazing. The guys said the steaks were the best they had ever had and considering no one was overly hungry when we arrived there was not a morsel left on anyone’s plate at the end of dinner as it was all so delicious! We were the last people to leave the restaraunt and at no stage were we hurried along, in fact it was quite the opposite! I would recommend Sherwood’s to anyone visiting the island wanting a spectacular dinner with amazing service at a very reasonable cost! We will definitely be going back!

We had my daughters 21st party upstairs, I believe it was the new owners first function and what a great job they did! The space was great and the food was wonderful, the whole night was a success and very afforadable. Thank you Mark & Lila, we all had such an amazing night, we really appreciate all that you did and I will be letting everyone know just how great it was x

The manager, Mark, was so friendly and hospitable! He even recommended other places we could go on the Island for a good coffee. The food was yum and just the right size portions - not excessive but we didn't leave hungry.

Great place. Definitely stop and enjoy some good food.

If you havent eaten here, do yourself and go what a place wonderful staff, a fantastic atmosphere and the FOOD. It was like being in heaven, every mouth full was full of favour, we had the prawns, the batter its self had so much flavor then the sauce drizzle had a slight kick, you just wanted to go back for more. The mains even better, highly recommend ordering the kangaroo nothing compare to how well it was cooked and all the flavour, the seafood marianna was just love no need for salt or pepper the calamari was cooked so well not chewy just melted in the mouth. I will repeat eat here you will never regret it. I promise you

Best meal on the island. With a recommended lamb dish I left feeling super satisfied and so pumped with my choice to leave my dish to their choosing. Kudos to the chefs , and as fir service it was absolutely perfected by high quality attention, genuine smiles and the kind of efficiency which makes you wonder how the hell they manage to service the whole venue so quickly and gently without ever breaking into a jog or even a brisk walk which would make you think they are rushed.
Plus they always have time for a chat and a laugh; making a place to eat out, seem like a cosy island home you never realised you had.

Warm and friendly on a cold winter evening. The lobster tails were delicious, vegetables perfectly cooked, the service was slick and friendly. Highly recommend.

Food was lovely, all the ingredients were freshly cooked. The only thing we didn't like was a bit too much pepper on the vegetables. The background music was in good taste.

Lovely place. The food here is definitely above the average stuff you get around the island. The staff and management are very friendly and the place is clean and neat. Definitely a classier place in an area that needs it.

Good variety on the menu, delicious food and lovely staff. Nice place to go and be able to talk without lots of noise. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Had a great night at Sherwood’s upstairs in their bar. The food was great and the karaoke was a great laugh. Highly recommend Sherwood’s. Thanks Lila and Mark.
