Portland Retro Motel

Absolutely awesome accommodation, perfect location. Very friendly welcoming reception staff, Great size rooms, fantastic comfortable queen bed. One of the best value for money spent for accommodation. Highly recommend Portland Retro Motel.

Tina and pom are soo kind , friendly and welcoming. She gave me extra 15 minutes for the checkout .This hotel feels like home with all amenities. Love to get back here again , very soon . They care customers a-lot as customer is god . Soo beautiful .

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, we are travelling with our dogs and was only going to stay 1 night but ended up staying for 2, all amenities are thought of and we will definitely be back. Plenty of room and in a great location. A1 👍 travelling back from the great Ocean road trip we stayed again for the 3rd time and even though we got back late the owners made sure everything was ready for us. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Portland. We will be back for sure.

I was made to feel welcome by Tina from my first call. The amenities were very clean, comfortable and reasonably updated. You can request daily servicing. There was ample hot water for showers and the showerhead was interesting. It was great to have tea and coffee making facilities together with a microwave. I really enjoyed being able to walk to the end of the street and access the walk along the bay and the quietness of the position.
There were great BBQ facilities if required.
I look forward to staying there again.

We enjoyed several nights at the Retro Motel at either end of our Great South West Walk adventure. Tina & Pom are the most welcoming and helpful of hosts and the Retro suited our needs perfectly. It's in a quiet location with well appointed & comfortable rooms plus some extras like crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster and jug in our room. Outside, there's a small table & chairs setting, a clothes line with pegs supplied plus a camp kitchen. From the Metro it's an enjoyable scenic walk along the coastline into the town centre. We'll be back!

This is an awesome gem. The rooms are clean and quite retro, but with everything you need. And the BBQ area just tops it all off. And our favourite......it's dog friendly. We have stayed here twice now, and we'll be back. There should be more motels like this one.

I've stayed at the Retro three times now, and Tina and Pom are always very friendly and welcoming. The location is nice and quiet, but still close enough to everything, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be back again.

A lovely affordable motel. Very warm, quiet and comfortable. I spent two nights here so I could visit Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre. It’s walking distance to eateries on the Main Street and was very quiet. Very comfy bed and a strong hot shower.

Stayed three nights, this was the second time we'd stayed here, I'd stay here again, hosts very nice, helpful and friendly. Clean, quiet, comfortable, Netflix was a bonus too.

We booked a family room and it had all we needed. great quiet room, parking and comfy. Very good value for money and would come back.

The Retro Motel would have to have been one of my best finds ever!! I cannot express how good this motel is and how much i want to go back.

The owners are lovely and full of awesome local knowledge... even took the time out to show us a koala up a tree in the yard! Was the kids highlight of our trip!!

The twin room was spacious with comfortably beds and the arm chairs were a lovely touch! We had absolutely everything we needed and i have absolutely zero complaints.

Its located in a residential street and there is next to no traffic noise. I honestly couldn't believe how quiet it was and how much of a great nights sleep i got!

I cannot recommend this motel enough and i cannot wait to go back again!

Location is perfect - close to town centre but still peaceful and quiet. Staff were very nice, helpful and accommodating. Room is old style but very clean (more clean than hotels in the city) and roomy. Room is also complete with TV + free Netflix, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge. Bathroom is also very clean with hairdryer and a cool with blue lights shower-head. Has heaps of parking space and a free to use BBQ place. It was a delightful, comfortable stay.

Amenities were very clean & a comfortable bed.Quiet area.

Stayed here twice now for work, great location, extremely friendly staff.
Rooms always very clean, smell nice and have great amenities.
Free netflix in the room also.

We stayed at Retro Motel for just one night and everything has been perfect. Very beautiful lodge family owned. We’ve been welcomed by a very nice man, the room was big, cozy, comfortable and clean!!! Excellent and fast WiFi.
Whenever we will be back in Portland we already know where to go!

Stayed there for 3 nights over Easter and we loved the motel. Watched the footy in the BBQ area which was great.
Good value for money with comfortable beds and the best part was the retro showerhead. It was great to be able to take our dogs for a holiday. Thank you to Peter and TIna.
