Teller Restaurant

We love eating out in country towns, you’d be surprised as to how many restaurants and bistros rival, and if not serve up dishes that bear some of Melbourne’s best restaurants. Teller is one of them, and my word, what a gem. Brilliant service and delish food.

We had the scotch steak, the chicken on greens with chili oil, and a serve of broccoli. All delicious although the soy on the broccoli was a little overpowering. We also had coconut sorbet and meringue with berry compote which is the only dish I wouldn't recommend - smashed on the plate, a little small and the compote was too sweet and strong. Regardless a very enjoyable experience.

Porterhouse Steak is really good! We ordered the sides: cauliflower and calamari. The cauliflower dish impressed me with the crispy chickpeas. Really good. Friend had gnocchi and it’s fragrant, full with flavour too. Have it while it’s still warm.

I organised a work function where we required the AV.
I had been recommend The Telller by a colleague.
I organise the evenings details with Amy and she was fabulous.
The food on the evening was delicious and Amy and her staff were able to transition almost seamlessly throughout the evening.
Furthermore, after the event finished, the staff didn't rush me to pack up my things.
Will see you again next year!

Beautiful food, great service, a wonderful birthday celebration. Highly recommend. I had the duck and it was so scrumptious! Crispy skin, cooked perfectly. Others in our party had the barramundi and porterhouse. There was nothing left on our plates. And the dessert......yuuuummm! Thank you to our attentive waiters - we loved that our water was constantly topped up and all of our meals came out together. We will return, definitely!

Food is outstanding had the porterhouse steak it was delicious first time at this restaurant but won’t be the last.

Service was alittle slow but worth the wait not a very big place but the service you do get is very homely

So pleased I booked The Teller for dinner while on a business trip to Shepparton. I ordered Pan Fried Australian Scallops, Cauliflower Purée, Black Pudding, Romesco as Entree and then Pork Belly, Cannellini Beans, Salsa Verde, BBQ Sesame Broccolini for my main course. Absolutely mouthwateringly delicious 😋. I highly recommend The Teller! A little bit of Melbourne in Shepparton 😀

The Teller Collective has been hosting our client events over the past 12 months and we have enjoyed each one. Great food and being able to work with them to co-ordinate our events has been fantastic.

We had a wonderful night. Always love going to the Foodstore but tonight the customer service went above and beyond. Cannot thank everyone enough from both Foodstore and Teller's we we ended up eating dinner. The food was exquisite. Tonight I actually left a tip - and that speaks volumes for the way we were treated. Thanks everyone.

The wait staff were absolutely charming, very engaged and accommodating.
The hardest part of the evening was picking just one of each course (the options were all equally appealing!) to have.
The portion sizes, presentation and food quality were perfection.
Book a table here if you find yourself in Shepparton; it will quickly become one of the highlights of your visit.

Well that was was absolutely 10/10, I had the snapper, so salty & flavoursome w Silverbeet & the focaccia was beautiful, Pinot Grigio spot on & service just perfect. Highly recommend

Dined on a Friday evening and was impressed with both service and food. All tastes can be accommodated, including vegan, and the menu offers a good variety of plates. I had the 24hr pork, which was excellent. The wine list was also quite varied, and wine by the glass is possible.

The food was great. The starters were amazing, buffalo wings, potato skins and croquetts were a great start. Gnocchi was tender and pork belly was unbelievable. Staff were perfect and always looking to help. I will return at every chance i get when the kids are getting looked after.

I wanted to treat my partner for a night out I had heard good things about the Teller so we thought we would give it a try. My expectations was that it would be great food but I thought I would walk out still feeling hungry, sometimes with better restaurants the serving size is quite small. However I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the food as good as I had heard the portion sizes are very decent, neither my partner or I could finish all of the 3 course meals. Will be back again.
