The Food Store

Found this place via Google Maps. It is a little gem. The food was fantastic. The children's gnocchi was amazing for a kids meal. The carrot cake and the raspberry&rhubarb cake were absolutely divine. Coffee was well made but the flavour was weak and tasted bland. Perhaps down to poorer quality beans? Looking forward to coming again when we next visit Shepparton.

Came here on a work trip up to Shep, definitely glad I went here. My breakfast was excellent, I had a Atlantic eggs Benedict which was delicious. The coffee was very well made (I had oat milk) but I think the beans they use aren’t very good - still ok enough that it didn’t detract from my whole experience here. If you’re in Shepparton looking for breakfast/ brunch this is a must visit.

Staff were lovely and food was delicious and fresh.

Lovely place, wonderful service from chearful and respectful people with truly great manners. They were accommodating and didn't rush us despite the fact that they were already in the process of closing. The food was tasty, of great quality and beautifully presented and their smile was warm, welcoming and sincere. Thank you guys!

I ordered the oxtail and it’s good. But it does get a bit too salty after a while. My colleague had the fun guy pizza and she enjoyed it a lot.

The food was exceptional, the chef went out of his way to make sure she got food that she could enjoy! She has coeliacs, he specialy made a breakfast for her to make sure she had no problems!

Arrived on a busy Easter Saturday at noon without a booking but the wonderful friendly staff found a table for 6. Could not fault the service, coffee or food. Best sweet potato fries 😋. Will go back if in Shepparton again.

We often bring the dog and the staff are so accommodating and friendly. If Visiting Shepparton this is often our first option for lunch. Great vegetarian options too. Oh and you gotta check out the sweets

The main reason why we came to this place was that the Lemon Tree Cafe across the road was closed on this particular Sunday. We wish we would have found this place first!!
We had a delightful breakfast at this place- just what we wanted. Better more varied menu for us, lovely coffee, friendly, helpful staff, speedy service and extremely generous servings!! I got a gold pan sized instead of a petrie dish of porridge ($17 across the road wasn't worth it - Ned Kelly lives!)
This is our best recommendation for brekkie in Shep!!

Wonderful place, the food is exquisite. Had an amazing egg and bacon roll. Loved the tomato relish.

We are not locals...just passing through and selected The Food Store for lunch. Great interesting diverse menu with some unusual dishes. Hard for us to make up our mind but we settled for mussel and tuna pappardelle and pesto gnocci with small bowl of fries on the side. Everything delicious with very yummy crispy fries! Friendly quick service in an inviting environment. Great coffee...highly recommend!

Great place for a casual group dinner!
Nice small share plates, gnocchi and pizza. Keeping things simple and doing them well.

Big ups to our wonderful waiter Cameron who got in on all our group antics and looked after us all evening with drinks and treats.

Great coffee, good menu with awesome food and cosy atmosphere. Plenty of locally made products to take home with you too. We love coming in for breakfast and I grab a coffee here most mornings as it's a cut above most other places in Shep.
