Lorelei Bed & Breakfast

An unexpected and wonderful experience staying here on our journey. The property is tucked away on a corner of two streets behind trees and bushes but within lies the most amazing period home, with wooden floors and panelling, high ceilings and log fires. Our host Roger is both knowledgeable and attentive and made our stay a real experience. We saw plenty of wildlife nearby (both koalas and wallabies) and enjoyed a sound night’s sleep. I would definitely recommend this gem of a place - out of the ordinary and very pleasant.

A really wonderful place to escape for a few days. Roger is a great host in his beautiful home, providing anything you might need at any time. The house is close to all facilities.
The rooms are excellent and very spacious. The fire is a bonus and burning all the time, great with the cooler weather.

We had a memorable stay at Lorelei as a couple with 2 adult foreign students.
From the warm greeting on arrival and the introduction to the rooms and facilities we wanted for nothing more.
Our student guests had never experienced an open fireplace and Roger prepared and maintained the lounge room fire during the evening. A most warming and comfortable experience.
We all had a relaxing evening and enjoyed the recommendation of the local hotel for our evening meal.
The optional in-house cooked breakfast was a great start to our day and the dining room wood heater and smell of fresh coffee was wonderful.
We can thoroughly recommend Lorelei for an overnight or extended stay.
We would welcome a return visit.

A beautiful turn-of-the-century federation style house. The host is incredibly welcoming and kind and the house is warm and homely. After spending two weeks on the road for work this was the first place that I was glad to be staying at. The lounge and dining room are beautiful and you'll want to be spending time outside your room. The rooms themselves are incredibly spacious with antique furniture but a modern comfy mattress and modern amenities (HD TV, split-cycle aircon, spa bath). The room are very clean and the sheets and towels are fresh and crisp. I was incredibly happy to have stayed here and could not recommend it more highly. 6/5

We stayed the 2 nights at Lorelei B & B and we couldn't be happier with the accommodation and the service we received. The Manager was not only very friendly but also extremely efficient as well.

A fabulous experience. Building has wonderful large rooms with high ceilings, wood panelling and stunning leadlight windows. Friendly owner. Provides a glass of wine for his guests. And cooks an excellent hot breakfast.

My partner and I stayed here for a night in town away from our babies. The hospitality we received upon arrival and throughout our stay was amazing! The host was very friendly, the room was very clean and had homey vibes and an affordable price. The spread of free light food and drinks had a great variety. And the additional cooked breakfast was just delicious!! It felt like taking a step back in time. We highly suggest staying here as we will definitely be back.

Just spent 4 nights here. Could not have picked a better place.
For starters, the Host Roger is so lovely he also has a beautiful dog.
The room was gorgeous, great amenities.

Lots of charms & character & tranquil Victorian B&B, super friendly owner with lots of extra touches...wine, cheese & crackers, beer, sodas, water, coffee/tea & candies. Simple breakfast, extra charges for cooked food if you like to have.

Havnt been to stay at this beautiful place for a while. Looking forward to returning soon. The owner is very friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble for him. It's all the little extras that count. Love the rooms, and THE SPA is awesome to relax in

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Excellent hospitality from the owner and operator Roger. He really makes you real at home and is also happy to help. The house has some lovely charm with the all the dark timber furnishings and natural light.
Cooked breakfasts are great and all the extras such as complimentary drinks(wine,beer and soft drinks). Room is larger than I thought it would be, we had the room with spa bath. Would 100% recommend this place to everyone.
Have to appropriate all the long hours and hard work Roger puts in to run the B & B so well and all with a smile on his face.
We will be back again!!

Very friendly owner, clean fresh rooms and a beautiful historic house.

The Lorelei was a lovely, antique style BnB run by Roger, a welcoming and interesting host. We stayed one night in mid November 2019 during our vacation from Canada. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the charming dining and lounge rooms added to the enjoyment of our stay. The complimentary drinks (alcoholic and non) were a nice touch. Would love to return one day.

Roger is the host of all hosts! Such a friendly and accommodating man. House is old but Roger keeps it very clean and makes the most of its heritage. Breakfast is fantastic, with everything you need to start your day. Thank you Roger!

Wonderful BnB located near the centre of town. Nice clean spacious rooms, lovely place to just unwind and friendly service from the start till finish.
